... and the current S9 stats in numbers (for all time - i.e. since S9s existed)

... and to repeat what I've said before - this is only S9s connected directly to the pool.
It doesn't include S9s connected via any sort of proxy since a proxy doesn't provide any information about all the types of each miner behind the proxy.

Code:
 CDF[Erl]
 0.862659 | bmminer/1 |  75.98414087 BDR | 67 Blocks
 0.385517 | bmminer/2 |   0.48697409 BDR |  1 Block

Sorry Kano if my joke opened a can of worms.

So are you saying that the forced BMminer v. 2.0 is made even worse for -ck pool software than it was ?

Sorry.... mis-understod, both BMMiner 1.0 and 2.0 sucks.... Would had been nice with some help to get rid of the BMminer and replace it  Sad

the way I read it is that S9s with new v2 firmware, has already started getting blocks in the pool.... so not bad lah!

All my S9s are stock v1 firmware, and for me, as shitty the bmminer is, I will take the  "if aint broke dont fix it" approach - since approximately 93% of the S9s worked out of the box, and 11 units went bad in less than 60days, from faulty hash boards to even controller failure. What can I say, I was lucky compared to other horror stories. I got all but 1 unit, RMAs back - completing the process in almost 2 months.

I have recommended to my investors to fully support Avalon's new hardware, to ensure competition and keep Bitmain on their toes. I hope A7 will deliver the goods especially in power consumption. If I was to choose 3 main features of the A7 in order of importance, I will choose the following:

1. Power consumption - 1000watts per miner - this watts ratio per miner I think is the make or break to most miners
2. Supportability and warranty - at least 12 months warranty, like any other IT HW provider
3. cgminer - dont get me started on this ....
4. "9TH to 11THs" - minimum hashing power expected for an A7...

A next generation miner doesnt have to be "super fast" - it just need to be solid performer, solidly build and with proper supportaibility. Just my 2 cents...

Well...with the Github pull...and Canaan back on the stats big time...I'm feeling a bit better. Mine on.

Well those damn S9's are back and there goes the luck!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Kano - can you run the latest S9/BDR stats, if any... just to be sure... I have a strange feeling about bmminer 1.0. All of Juvia is still bmminer 1.0 and I have not upgraded to bmminer 2.0. I hate to think that there is something rotten in v1 firmware against Kano pool. Thanks
The stats are only getting better, not worse.
Also the 2.0 has now found a block with a BDR less than 1.0

However, for more interesting news ... there's been an A7 pull request on cgminer Cheesy
https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer/pull/701

woww!!! A7 is real then... fantastic news!

Waiting so longgg for this.  I sold off six of 18 coins That I was holding for new a7's

I still have 12 coins to buy some.

Go Avalon, go! Would love to see an A7 finally make it to market! (Fingers are crossed.)
Very good news indeed Smiley How long did it take after the Avalon6 pull request on cgminer was made that the Avalon6 was for sale?

Patience...hang in there. Luck is luck. Let's see how it goes.

P.S. I did notice, however, that when I'm watching football, every time I leave the room to get a beer my quarterback throws an interception or they fumble the ball. Now I don't drink beer when I watch the game & they seem to be doing better  Wink

Others making comments about luck on a SINGLE block is beyond silly Tongue
Hence my "tongue in cheek" comment regarding football  Wink

Well October was not so gloomy after all according to my spreadsheet.

One thing about this pool it's very consistent, generally performing very well. It has had great months that are above average, followed by months that are good. I don't remember a month off the top of my head that the pool has performed poorly. Happy to be back.

August was the only bad month of the last six and I am pushing bad really mediocre would be correct.
