I'll be doing a CKDB restart in about an hour - around 06:20 UTC

No miners will be affected.
Web site and API will show lotsa '?' for about 10 minutes.

This includes updates for the resource usage that caused some problems last CKDB restart.
If there are any problems (like last time) though hopefully there wont be, it'll just mean a longer time for the restart.
CKDB restart ran without a hitch Smiley

Carl, aka Sonny :)
and Block again !  Wink

I definitely don't mind that Smiley

It seems that every time I go out of the house tonight we hit multiple blocks!  Maybe I'll have to remember that the next time we need a block!

This is a good start with 2 blocks within the first 37 minutes of the new day!  Cheesy Cheesy

Looks like my keepkey discovered a bug. New beta firmware release available later today.
Guys over at keepkey are on the stick. Very pleased. They are the KANO of hardware wallets.
Yay! I'm 1btc richer that I thought.
Blockchain does not lie. Smiley

Blocks have been a bit stubborn. Let's roll!

Similar experience, one of their senior developers, Ken, actually called me to explain what was going on and ask if I wanted to be part of the beta firmware and app update Smiley
You get the firmware update yet? Not getting any response from support.
EDIT: Hey they just kicked it out.

Nice, feel free to PM me if you have any notable experiences with it. I'll update it when I get home from work.
Did not fix/find the BTC with the new firm/software.
Downloaded Multibit wallet and restored from backup words.
'LOST' BTC retrieved. All is right with the world. Kinda scary that the keepkey cannot do a simple read of the blockchain.

Thats odd, did you keep Ken in the loop? My main issue was that all of a sudden my transaction history disappeared, this was indeed fixed for me.

Yeah I have one in my inside laundry in the centre of my place, pointing out the door, to heat the place (since it's cold)
My setting to make it 3.2THs and very quiet:

Edit /etc/init.d/cgminer
AVA4_OPTIONS=" --avalon4-fan $_fan-55 --avalon4-temp 75 --avalon4-voltage 8000 --avalon4-freq $_cf "

And:
Web freq 400 (was 450)

It allows the temp to be a little higher and sets the max fan lower
Since it's colder here that all works OK and makes it never spin the fans up to full.

I found with a 2nd one, that if it does get too hot, it stops hashing and the power drops right down.
The 2nd one (that is only half working) I tried with an almost silent fan and it would hash about half the time and averaged about 1THs
That one I leave off now.

Good info. Mahalo...I've held off using Twitter until now...when Jon at Canaan made a rather blunt (but nice) suggestion to follow them on Twitter right now.

This A6 is nice...MUCH quieter than the S7s, either one or two-fan. Hashing a steady 3.8.

Hi All! Noob here. I just bough some equipment and have had it running for just a couple of days. I have been able to find answers to most of my questions looking at this thread and on the website. I did read the payout section but it is unclear to me when the payout is sent after a block reaches the matured state?

I am using the method with no username just using my BTC wallet. Sorry for the super noob question!

Hopefully you have received your payouts from the previous matured blocks by now and it is clearer how payouts are processed! Smiley

Thanks for the reply! I will have patience and see what happens. Will take your advice and make individual usernames for the miners. Just want to get the basics down first Smiley

I also highly recommend that you create an account and mine that way, everything makes ALOT more sense and you get a lot more visibility in being able to track your performance\payments.
