Requires time and effort, that I'd prefer spent on the pool.
Also requires an S9 that I don't want (and as I mentioned, was offered one by bitmain and rejected the offer)

Most people would gain little from the changes, and it is effectively helping bitmain continue what they do also.
I've done this for the S1, S2, S3 and still all the code fixes are not in any bitmain version.

Hopefully the next Avalon is out soon ... they use master cgminer and submit the code changes and thus have all our changes from our master git.
Avalon has none of this crap with a screwed up API, missing block information, missing best shares, hidden rejects and hardware errors, etc, and who knows what else in the latest closed source version.

Hi all

I am in for some bounty to have cgminer on s9s.
i do not think bitmain has anything intentional in the code to make the s9 function incorrectly but obviously we know which pools would receive primary testing and where serious batches are mining right now.

If enough people are serious we can put out a bounty.
If we have enough maybe Kano knows someone we could trust to do it and we could pay Kano to vet it.

Please comment

Actually, wm, it was understandable. I got it...only just now got to read it. Sonny (clgrissom) took care of you, though. Cool!  Cool

Mine on...

Thanks for the understanding. LOL. I've been asleep on the couch most of the day feeling crappy.

In hindsight, it was a dumb question.
Since I log each block payment from the Payments page, it says right there in black and gray, the block #, the payout address, and the amount. With a clear head, I would know better.
I wasn't thinking clearly when I asked the question right after waking up.

(I think my fever broke sometime during the night as I woke up soaking wet. Feeling somewhat better now.)

I was hoping for another block to finish the day. Unfortunately not. Undecided

May the blocks come fast and furious as they did last weekend!  Grin

I have a question, please, hopefully not a dumb question that has been asked and answered a dozen times before...  Tongue

I have finally gotten Bitcoin Core installed and running well on a machine I plan on running 24/7.

I just changed my payout address on Kano to send payouts to a newly generated address on my BTC Core.

Does this go into effect immediately for blocks already found but not matured, or will I still receive payouts to my Coinbase until a new block is found.
Just wondering if the payouts that may be already queued will still go to my old address. That sounds logical.

Sorry if this question is not phrased very well. I think I'm coming down with the flu or something. I feel very foggy today.  Undecided

Let's start the week-end block party today and turn our board GREEN again! Smiley

The payout address on file is what is used used when the block is found.  If you change your address, it does not change for blocks that are already in your Payments and Rewards list.  It will be used on the next block found after the change.  Smiley

Thanks. that was what I was thinking. Although you might not have been able to tell from the way the question was so poorly constructed. LOL

How about a gather of BTC to get someone skilled to crack these miners ?

If this is idea takes off, count me in for BTC contribution to the bounty

Block by citronick and one of his Juvia machines!  Cheesy

Juvia and her minions are S9s Batch 3

I am impressed that they are behaving and delivering blocks.

They were only installed just over 24 hours ago.

Count me in for an Cgminer 4.9.2 for the S9`s.
But not a reboot one, hell I have too many to do reflash every now and then.

Let's get back to a multi-daily pool restart, shall we?

I have no idea why -- but it always seems to work!
