Uh, oh... kano.is appears to be down.   Huh

Looks like just the web page is affected.

oh ok, i see thanks..

it was just strange seeing a whole line of 1042s, then a couple 800s..
The pool starts at 1042 when you connect.
It will usually adjust it to be around 18 SPM (shares per minute) - to try to keep your pool I/O from being too high or to low.
Also if you have multiple devices mining, then the Avg will of course depend on all devices and if they adjust down/up and how long they take to adjust.

Aside: for small devices below 54GHs it wont go below 42

how come my avg share went down and does it affect my pay?

from earlier on its all 1042s and from later till now its only 880.00

the s5 is running at the same speed it has been with no connection loss.

The average share doesn't matter.
You'll see that when it is higher, you have fewer shares, when it is lower, you have more shares.
Your payout is determined by your number of Diff1 Shares vs the Pool's Diff1 shares in the payout.

However, since a shift has a somewhat random length, counting the shares in a shift doesn't, of course, show consistency.
So I also add in there your average hash rate based on the Your (Diff1) Shares submitted (809,600) and the Length (time) to submit them (49m 1s) and come up with, in the first line case, 1.18THs - Avg Hs
That's the number that should stay around your average hash rate and is also the same number on the Shift Graph.
The shift page also shows your (Rejected) Inv(alid) Diff, so those 2 added together will equal all the shares you submitted to the shift that could be understood (if a miner sends a completely invalid share that we can't interpret it wont have a Diff value so wont be included - but they are usually rare)

Whatever it was was just a weird glitch, put kano.is on top, rebooted and after 10 minutes I'm seeing 2489gh/sec on the control panel, so ... who knows? :p

Hey Kano, I have a strange issue with my S4+ on the pool.

It only runs at half speed for some reason.  Runs fine on btcguild or even nicehash, but when your pool is on top I get half speed.

Has anyone else had that happen?

Where is the hash rate showing the drop?
The pool reported hash rate takes time to get accurate as long as you are only mining at the pool.
If you are mining multiple pool then of course it will not show full speed.

If you PM me the worker name I can see what the exact numbers are.
The shift graph/shift information shows the exact accepted hash rate total over the shift, so if you started after the start of the shift it will be below your hash rate, if you started before the shift started, then it will show your full average accepted hash rate for the whole time of the shift.
Edit: the graph lets you see it at the single worker level.

I'm looking at the miner status page, usually after 5 minutes the mining rate sits where I expect it to be for this box, around 2550gh/sec, except for this pool which is so bizarre.  I'll PM you the worker name.  I only had it on the pool for a short while.  Who knows, maybe it was a one time glitch.  I'll try to put it back on the pool and see what happens.

Weird.....just noticed a fail-over on my S3...hmmm. Ok, anyways...back. Got me to thinking (tough job)..."kano, how's the S3 upgrade coming?" "Inquiring minds wanna know." lol
That and the bitcoin network issues are what I spend all my BTC time on at the moment.
Have hardly touched the pool code lately.
Spent quite a few days from last week to middle of this week just dealing with the bitcoin issues - the #1 thing in all this is to avoid orphans, which we have got none during all this network crap, and hope that is also due to the amount of time I spend on it Smiley
I pushed to git a while back the basic S3 support code, but have done a lot of changes to it since then.
Can only say the usual ... almost there.

What are you basing the speed on? Is the miner set in fail-over? etc. Gonna need more info than that it's running in half speed.

edit; opppsss...sorry kano. Didn't mean to step on any toes. It's a question I'll stay out of.

Not sure what you mean by failover.

In miner configuration, if kano.is is the mining pool the S4+ runs at around between 1050gh/sec and 1150gh/sec compared to running on btcguild or nicehash where it runs at the expeceted speed of around 2550gh/sec

you are already sharing with me.. Tongue I am usually on Bitminter but threw in some THs now and then during the past few weeks.
that's why I am asking, I want to see my hashpower directly in an app on my phone, as I access all sites only from one location.
