Yep great - even small miners can find a block - well done lieutfunaki Smiley

Of course every block found is a single miner, but some people just happen to have a whole lot of those single miners Cheesy

FYI that was a 7 second network block and blocks haven't been very full for the last 8 hours - so it was a pretty small one
... but NOT empty!

In case anyone noticed and wondered what changed Smiley

The stratum.kano.is node is 3 servers
I changed one of the 3 over from AWSLS to another provider a bit over an hour ago.

No one needs to do any changes to their miners.
No miners are disconnected by the change, simply new miners connecting to stratum.kano.is will no longer connect to the old one.

Since it is one of 3, anyone connecting to stratum.kano.is will of course have a 1 in 3 chance of connecting to the new node.
The new node is in LosAngeles, whereas the others are in Oregon.
They're 30ms apart but that's OK for this 'trial' run.
This is to see how well it performs and if all goes as planned I'll probably do some more changing around of stratum.kano.is in a few weeks.

Mine on!

Received the payout in my wallet this morning, thank you for the feedback.  Looking forward to continued mining on Kano.
The payouts are so trustworthy here that I barely give a thought to when they actually hit my wallet. I have a crypto app on my Microsoft phone--don't laugh, it hurts bad enough already--that I add my Kano block rewards to so I can see real-time market values, trends, etc.

It's only every now and then I log into my dedicated Lubuntu+Bitcoin Core laptop or blockchain.info to check my balance--more to make sure I've added everything to that app than making sure Kano sent my payouts.

P.S. - Balances match. Cool

RIP: S5, A faithful device long time
Hey Guys!  I just joined the mining scene and joined your pool, I have 5 S9's with more on the way.  While I'm waiting for my 220V circuits to be setup I have 1 S9 pointed here on a 110V.  My question is, when are payouts paid? I was connected during the last 2 found blocks and my payout on the first was a miniscule 0.00006859 and the second 0.0002497, I know this is very small but just curious how it works.

Thanks,

Yeah, I have the plan to buy some example 3000 dollars 29Th+ PSU ASIC x 3. If i get money somewhere. That is the first thing what I'm gonna do in this situation.
200 Ph/s ASIC hall can be a later goal.

Right now it takes about a week (~200 hours) of mining to ramp up to full payouts--don't worry, you lose nothing; it's just the way PPLNS works.

Kano had a good explanation in a recent post where he said something to this effect: If you've mined 20 of the past 200 hours, your payout will be 10% of your fully ramped up reward. Obviously, 100/200=50% reward, etc.

Basically, just keep mining here for a week, and by then you'll be up to full payouts, fall in love with us charming folks, and not want to mine anywhere else... That's what happened to all of us. Grin

Well, we hit a block, wait for 101 confirmations, and then the payouts are sent out...and when the payouts are confirmed they hit your wallet.  There is no set time or threshold for payouts...yet.  There are some changes coming sometime before the end of the year when dust payouts will also be paid out on a weekly or monthly basis. Smiley

That second one of 0.0002497 should be paid out when the latest block payout goes out since it's above the 0.00010000 dust limit.

oh snap - yes thanks for making this post, I thought I saw 4 zeros on that second payment. I was wrong and will edit my response.

the first payout will not pay out at this time, as Kano had pointed out to me earlier (yesterday, I think) anything below .0001 is considered "dust" and will not pay. It will stay in your rewards for the time being. Kano has also pointed out he is working on changing the accounting so as to be able to pay out the "dust" coming soon

I got a little bit better of a reward this time, right now, its still very little only about $4.60 for 30 hours of 69-71 TH/s
I cant wait to see what the total is after  reaching full ramp up. but still its 3 blocks in 3 days. I think someone said it earlier, at full ramp up, it's .005 per block at my current TH/s speed.

Block   Block UTC   Miner Reward   N Diff   N Range   Pool N Avg   Your %   Your N Diff   Your N Avg   Your BTC
543474   2018-Sep-28 16:57   12.63229388   35.782T   206hr 12m 21s   207.03PHs   0.01%   2.011G   11.64THs   0.00070994
...and considering that block's reward was at "11.64THs", simple math--0.00070994 / (11.64 / 70)--tells me your ramped up reward would've been... 0.00426939 BTC

P.S. - I think the quoted 0.005 reward was before the last diff change.

Math doesn't care what you believe.
I've been watching your posts here and there is a very simple approach to all of this...all pools will find the expected number of blocks (100%) over time (unless there is block withholding going on) as luck will always even out.  The real difference between pools is transaction and pool fees.  For example, antpoo does not give the transaction fees to the miners so you would lose big time there.  Pools like KanoPool and Slush both give transaction fees back to the miners so the difference is 0.9% pool fees here vs 2.0% at slush.  The math is painfully simple and test runs are not necessary as diff changes effects everyone's payouts ...if you want to get the most out of your hashrate, point all of your machines here.

I fully agree with this.  The ONLY way you can accurately compare earnings between pools is to have a small pool of miners (say a dozen or more) running on one pool, and another set concurrently running on a 2nd pool.  Even then, you would have to work on balancing the pool of miners so their total hashrates were below your error acceptance level.  E.g.  If your interested in a 0.1% difference in earning, the two pools of miners would need to be balance to within 0.05% worst case.  0.01% would be a lot better.  Then you would need to run them for several hundred blocks worth, with whichever pool does the least blocks/month being the governer.

Just run the math... for instance, I have some 841s that only pull 13.3TH, others pull 13.6TH.  If I just used one of each of those, one per pool, there would be a built in bias of over 2.25% in earnings between the two - independant of which pools I pointed them at.

If you take one miner and point at one pool for a few days or weeks, then use that same miner to point at another pool for a few days or week, your results are going to be corrupted by both the likely difficutly change that occured during the test period, and the dumb luck the pools had for that short period of time.

The only thing that holds true is what the quoted author states.

You are mining dust... AFAIK it takes at least 1THs, probably a bit more, to be above the dust level. If by R-box you are referring to the video streaming device -- forget it. Read https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-mining-intro-rules-of-this-subforum-read-before-posting-2415854 point-3.

dear thanks for your replay

my r-new miner is 110w only so I can run it on solar power
I am collecting some mining for the future not for now
may be 1 bitcoin reach 1 million dollars in the future Smiley

Haha!  Now that's a good positive outlook on things! Smiley
