@crackfoo
 I would like stability in the mining on the pool.
Yes, me too)
now zpool the best for profitability, but stability is not very good.

Seems my stratum needs code changes now for proper masternode support for this coin. Will reenable Tuesday/Wednesday

@crackfoo

I want to say respect for your work. I can imagine how many angry appeals have recently come to your address.
Do not drift brother! Let's win Smiley
And ... I would like stability in the mining on the pool. I believe that this is the best pool!

Zpool down again. Maybe the new server was a bad idea. Their uptime is failing big time. Time to find a new new one.
every site have bad times. if this is problem for you, you can leave it forever. or just mine temporally 1-2 days at nicehash or minerhub(, etc), and come back if everything is good.

I think you are interpreting it wrong, I don't have issues with zpool. I have backup pools as nicehash and minerhub so I don't have any downtimes. What I was suggesting was the new server was a bad idea, because the bad times as you mentioned, happened just right after crackfoo switched servers, so maybe that server isn't as good. And when I said "Time to find a new new one", means time to find a new new server, not a new new pool.  Grin

The previous server was running near max capacity so an upgrade was due. It did last nearly 2 years with those specs and the new server is considerably larger and faster. 40 core vs 12, 256GB ram vs 128 and full SSD raid and thought a hardware raid controller would also perform better but seems that may have been the wrong choice. I'll get it sorted out when back from my last family vacation of the summer. Will just have to hang in there for a few more days. But yes, backup pools set is recommended, even inset backups. Shit happens. I've rented nearly 100 servers from OVH and this is the first that's ever given me problems.

Yeah, hardware RAIDs just give you one more point of failure. They're better on paper, but not in production.
Thanks for the hard work. Enjoy the time off

Is anyone else having issues with the API not working? I’m getting empty responses

Yes, same problem. Doesn't seem like anyone cares (especially with the RAID failure). Would be nice to get an acknowledgement one way or another though.

Hey everyone, we are in the evaluation process for our network and were considering zpool. I'm a bit concerned about the lack of support for their API. Does anyone know if they intend to support their API going forward? This is a prerequisite for us.

I will look into it when the major problems with the new server are addressed.

I'm away on family vacation so this current issues timing couldn't be worse. I still have the old server as a backup which I guess I'll move the services back to that server on Tuesday and have OVH figure out what they are going to do with this new server.

Sorry for the down time it irrites me just as much as you all.

I hate when shit hits the fan when I'm on vacation. Enjoy your time off.
When you get back, check on lbry and decred. They are both showing up as 0 under "24 Hours Actual"

Everytime you add something to a server landscape, upgrade components or update OS/programs there is a risk that you introduce (new) problems.
But this is a must to keep your systems secure and up to date or, if needed, to handle more and additional miners. I guess the latter would be the case... the miner count is growing in these days and so is the load on popular pools.

Just add backup pools, it's that simple... Didn't even notice that the pool was down until I checked my balance and got a http 502 bad gateway. My miner switched automatically way earlier...

a raid array failed. Is back up now and a ticket logged with provider. Hoping not to have more downtime but something may need to be replaced.

Is the new server running RAID 0 or something? If so, that's a no-no for redundancy. If they were running RAID 1, and a disk failed, it will still keep on running.

Or RAID 5 or RAID 6, or a number of other configurations, a single disk failure (or dual disk failure in the case of RAID 6) would not have taken down the server.

Who is the provider?

It's raid 5 but yeah I'm not so sure it was the disk but the actual raid controller for the disk. Tests show ok now but nothing has been replaced. OVH is the provider and are on standby..

Those damn controllers... I prefer software over hardware raids, at least on M$ server.  Provider give you an option on the build?
