I would prefer not to share it with anyone. although sometimes we do need to tell the people closest to us. but in certain cases such as winnings or other successes in gambling, we don't need to share them with anyone.
We don't know that there are quite a lot of people out there who don't like us. remain calm and silent in all our activities. there is no need to interfere in other people's affairs and other people probably will not interfere in our affairs. especially if we live in an environment where many people care too much about and comment on other people's affairs.

I'm always surprised how much people like to pry into other people's business and discuss other people's income. That's why I think it's important to keep your profits a secret from everyone. After all, when people find out about your income, gossip, envy, and sometimes attempts to use you for their own purposes begin.

It is better to have peace and tranquility than to be the subject of talk and envy. It is always better to keep your financial success a secret and share it only with loved ones and trusted people.

Im also that kind of introvert when it comes to things on which i do prefer on having a peaceful living without having any arguments with other people or having some issues or whatever things that they could really be able to say. I do want a peaceful living and just do your work and live with your means then with that then im already contented to that.  This is why it is really just that good when it comes on being silent and
be secretive on the things that you've been dealing because we do live in a world on where tons of people are judgemental or someone whose really that loving on getting involvement or something has to say
into other peoples lives on which it is really that something not really that be avoided. If you are someone whose really that too sensitve when it comes to what other people been saying
then it would be best that you should be keeping for yourself on whatever things that you are dealing with specially with gambling which the community does have that bad impressions or views towards it.

Being discreet is the only way to avoid disrupting our relationships and daily work, people around us love to pry into the private lives of our colleagues or, more accurately, judge outsiders, the story may not be malicious at first, but some people will pay attention and take advantage of it to cause trouble, jealousy is always everywhere. For those we trust, this secret does not necessarily require sympathy or understanding from them, sometimes gambling goes against each other's views, it is difficult to receive sympathy

Basically yes it is true and the impact of gambling will not only cause problems in socialization relationships with other people, especially the closest people but the impact of gambling can also of course destroy a person's life in various aspects, especially from losing balance in terms of finance so it is not uncommon for us to see people who end up with a very poor life situation where they lose all the property they have and also destroy their relationship with their family.

Yes I can confirm that, as you said above that the impact of gambling addiction can also make other people or society have a bad point of view towards us where usually they will put restrictions with us in terms of socialization and also maybe they will claim that we are someone who has a bad personality which of course in the end they will not trust us while on the other hand usually gamblers always make their closest people a place or target to borrow money when they don't have money to gamble. Another thing, keeping gambling habits a secret is indeed good so that we avoid bad claims from people around us but on the other hand we also need other people to help us if for example we want to quit gambling, because at least we definitely need some advice and input from some other people's heads or minds.

We know that people have different thoughts, some will think badly of you when they find out that you gamble, and others will think that you have a lot of money because when it comes to gambling, huge and easy money is very possible when you win. If you want a peaceful life and no one will interfere with the things you do, just continue to keep them a secret, just choose who you trust to tell, the one you know who's supportive and genuinely happy with the things you receive in your life.

I like that. Being unpredictable. The secrecy is still there and somehow we are protecting those who are near us in a different way. We may be called gamblers but they must not know the extent of how we gamble. We could be betting for a large amount or we are just doing it for fun but the neighbors only hear that occasionally that they won't have any idea what is really happening inside. We keep that at bay in telling our kids or our relatives about what is happening to us.
Why? Simply because there are people who cannot shut their mouths and they will keep on adding more stories to the ones that they heard.
In my family, I would not mind telling my wife because I know she won't be the kind of person that would tell others about it. As a partner in everything she will definitely protect my secret.

but there are people that is great in hiding , sometimes even wife/husband cannot find their way of hiding so better not to confirm everyone has this because it is not.

this is the main problem about addicted person that they cannot gather enough chance to tells the people around us about our gambling addictions.

Keeping our gambling habits a secret here could refer to the way we handle the privacy on how we are gambling, some don't really like a public exposure when they are gambling, while some don't mind having that, but its mostly more profitable if from the way we gambles, we remain unpredictable, this is to help maintain our personal integrity to an extent with other people we may relate with outside the scope of gambling, seeing us being a gamblers could print another impression different on them.

Yup, probably it's a choice or option either you would love to share that kind of activities or you want it to be hidden it's your decision to make and there's no one who can force you unless you are already showing some hints of getting addicted and you are losing a lot. Though I think those who chose their gambling to be hidden same as yours they are mostly protecting their reputation as we know that most people around loves to criticize and for sure most of us does'nt like to have that kind of criticism.

I think if we do gambling and it doesn't harm other people, it's fine, unless the gambling we do affects other people or harms other people, that's what doesn't make sense. It's pretty obvious that those who can't remove or who can't escpape from this situation are those gamblers who can't admit their addiction, they pretend that they are just doing fine and they are just enjoying the game..

Denial steps in when the individual isn’t ready to accept the responsibility and outcome of where his/her actions has led them to. And in most cases, it’s really difficult to get an addicted person to readily admit his/her addiction problems.
When someone that’s addicted admits on having a problem, such person has unwittingly taken the first step towards quitting such habits and has hopped on the road towards getting better. You can’t get better if you don’t first acknowledge the problem as no one would readily and openly accept to being an addict.
That’s pretty much why it’s common amongst addicts. No one is ready to admit to being an addict even while being one.

I can only say something, if the person has a great reason to hide his gambling habit, whatever the reason, it is up to that person if he hides it, but for example someone like me, does not hide it, first of all, I don't know I am interested in what others think of me, I just have fun and if I have fun and feel good doing an activity and if I don't harm anyone, then I know I'm doing things well, obviously if things are at the point of normality and nothing illegal because even more things are like that.

The most common things that can happen in games and in people are many, I understand that there are people who like these types of activities to be kept anonymous or secret, but it is something that most of the time society demands it, but That same society is the one that does very terrible things, so as I said before, everyone has their own ways of Controlling their activities and whoever wants to keep it secret, well, I think that doesn't affect anyone either.

Of course not every stranger should not that you gamble. You dont even have to tell it yourself to others. But my idea is not to keep it in secret on purpose. There is no need to do it when nobody is at home only. If asked what your are doing or if you gamble - answer honestly. There is no need to have a special secret bank account to gamble with that money only (but it might help to those who cant control their finances). There is no need to clean browsing history straight after gambling and etc. If asked by family of friends - answer honestly. They wont judge, and they dont have right to judge you.

Yes, I also told this to my wife even that is secret detail. Like gambling, I always told him if I like sit on the chair and play gambling even I have a free time to do that. Because when we don't tell in what our habit, I am pretty sure in the future we will have face a problem when one of us doesn't understand it. Being open to each other is a key to strengthen marriage. So when you have lost, and don't have the money to eat something, your wife will probably understand it, and doesn't require you to work harder.
