This one's from cointelegraph.com: "South Korea potentially “banning” ICOs has unsettled markets Friday, as regulatory statements from earlier this month come back to haunt investors."

why's the banning in quotations tho? To be honest, I don't see the ICO ban going on to the full extent, it would probably be more regulated. I mean, South Korea isn't that much known to ban things unlike some... communist countries, so yes, better controll of those ICOs will be in place.

Guys! We must look at this kind of news very skeptically. 95% that this news is fake. It's just wonderful time after China's news influence gone and somebody just has to make a big pile of shit. Somebody who did not catch bitcoin at 3000$.

Same here! This news is kinda bullshit. The rumor that is spreading around the market. I'm tired of it and I don't believe that.

Me too im so tired and fed up with all this banning news they just want to buy bitcoin cheaper that is why they are creating FUD like that. I hope people will not listen to this kind of news anymore.

Check this article. South Korea is Going to Ban All Kinds of Local ICOs. The key word is LOCAL. This decision won't be so loud as China ICO ban even if this is not the fake one.

If you own the news you own the market, people don't care about sources, they just read the title and panic

Real talk. But its good for the informed to buy at a discount.

True, today you need to be aware of fake news because they have very real impact

Judging by translated sources, the situation is not clear at the moment - when this will happen and how it will be enforced. As the US chose regulation instead of ban - there is a huge available market, which is likely to  persist and even persuade others to reverse bans.

true or not. there are chances that neigboring countries of china will also bann btc. ICOs are just making btc more popul4ar like its the mass adoption we all been waiting.  it makes these offline business go online and can do ICos of their own without coding.

Just like the China, it may hit the market in the short time, but cannot stop the arise of cryptocurrency market, finally it will lose its influence on the market.
Let's wait and see.

Is China's decision impacting the other countries to think and ban the ICO and may be some other may even ban exchanges now to operate the bitcoin and other cypto currencies. I think this may have a negate long term impact if such countries even small starting to ban as people trading or investing there will be banned to buy/sell now .

What it says is "Korea will ban any kind of ICO." It is official from the Government.

Recall what happened when China banned all the ICO.

If this continues in the future China's neighbors will follow Chinese and korean regulations because they are a big country that acts as a role model for other countries, we can prove whether china's actions prohibit ico to be a profit in the country or japanese action to legalize crypto currency to its state advantage.

Honestly, you should be happy here atleast Korean Government is working hard to regulate everything about crypto, They didn't banned  Bitcoin, They banned ICOs. Korean Government from the Chinese Government, We must be happy that Korea and Japan are pushing through and working hard to locally accept bitcoin as a type of currency on their country unlike Chinese Government.

coinexchange is from korea right?

there's not much from them anyway. but they may still have effect still in bringing btc price down. somehow its possible that more countries indeed will ban more ICOs. its becoming true now that ICOs are indeed scams.
