Not right now, once things start progressing can give a better idea of
a release date.

No decisions have been made yet on coins required. Once we have a couple of exchanges
the price will very likely go down, so will be easy for anyone to grab some for when the new
wallet is ready and masternodes are available.

Great news! Looking forward to the updated wallet.
Any idea how many coins are needed for masternode?
do you have any timeline for the changes you have mentioned?

Okay, so I've contact yobit to ask if they will update the wallet. See what happens there!

Hopefully soon enough we will have 1-2 more exchanges available.

=====

Pretty sure have now finalised a deal to get a major wallet update. Once work starts will
post and provide ongoing details as things progress.

Wallet will be updated to PoS 3.0, along with anon through masternodes.

When you open the wallet, "help > debug window" will show the current number of blocks.

Which displays current number of blocks: 1242209, also when sync you can hover over the green tick bottom right
and see the amount of blocks you've downloaded. So be good if matches.

The only issue, with the old wallet is it has old nodes, which were replaced with dns seeder. But if it's working and
on the same chain should be fine.

I already did all that and the new QT refuses to open...  the new wallet QT hangs as a grayed out box that says "Kryptcoin - Wallet (Not Responding)             _  ◘ X"

If I do all the steps you mentioned but run the old QT instead of the new QT, the wallet opens fine, will connect and mints new coins, but I get the "WARNING: checkpoint too old" message... should I just ignore the warning? is there any way I can verify I'm on the correct blockchain and not a fork?

Well as of right now I'm at 1242298, so I'm going to guess I'm on the correct chain. I'll just use the old QT and ignore the warning then. Thanks for the help

Please make a backup copy of your appdata folder, most important your wallet.dat file.

Any old conf file, remove it. None of the old nodes are online. Do a fresh wallet install with the update.

After installed, you can replace the blockchain files and DB folder.

Let me know how you get on.

Yeah, new wallet absolutely refuses to open... stuck with grayed out wallet window saying "not responding"...  debug.log keeps repeating:

... I reverted to an older copy of the wallet and used a copy of my wallet.dat from 2015... I get connections on the network and most of my coins are there.. but they aren't minting and I get an error saying "checkpoint too old, wait for blockchain to download or contact developers"...

Any help?

Here's the updated wallet guys... to add DNS seeder.

http://krypt.cash/wallet/KryptKoin-1.5.6.1-setup.exe

Copy of the blockchain to get up to speed, if you're on win10 and have an
error opening wallet will need to bootstrap.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/oocs83z83nw1bww/kryptkoin_bc.zip

As always make a backup of any wallet.dat you may have.

The old version opened and ran fine for me... trying to open this new version and it wont open at all.. locks up and says "not responding" .... tried bootstrapping and same result...

...then tried running old version with the new peers.dat and new blockchain download and the old version tells me I have like 10KTK.... Not right at all, I was on the original distribution list and didn't dump, I have almost 40,000KTK

Regarding the previous marketplace, instead of a centralised site. Going to fork
OpenBazaar, but that's once the wallet has been updated.

I'll provide further details as soon as everything is 100% confirmed.

=====

Going to contact yobit to update the wallet on their end, but hopefully soon
we're have a couple of other exchanges to use.

As I mentioned before, avoid purchasing from yobit until I have news the wallet
is back online.

KryptKoin is back? Awesome!!!

One of the most promising coins of its time - no ico - free distribution - and even had a working market place for it.
Is the market place still available?

Will there be a new roadmap with new features?

There will be a small update to the current wallet to get the blockchain moving again. So anyone
with KTK can download and get synced.

After that yes, there are plans to release a new wallet and further updates. I will post once
confirmed and finalised.

And regarding yobit, no not at the moment. I'll be contacting and trying to get them to update
the wallet and back online, so coins can be moved. But right now, I'd say to wait.

Are you going to release a new wallet for KTK?
Do you think its safe to buy from yobit, if you are resurrecting this coin?

I dont want to miss the boat this time  Wink
Great news. I will wait for the updates.
