although Madrid has started to improve, but chasing Barcelona is very unlikely. winning over huesca hardly changes anything. but at least they must be consistent to stay in the champions league zone and improve themselves in the summer transfer.
Trophy is already written off for this season.
The wins are meant to help the Real Madrid dress room gain some confidence after the return of Zidane and also help them gain momentum as they prepare for next season
There is still a lot of work to be done both on pitch and off pitch.

Anyways, there seems to be some 'controversy' surrounding Barcelona and Messi. Last saturday, Messi scored a free kick goal against Espanyol, everyone seems to agree that Messi scored the goal...Except for Marca, the newspaper that delivers the trophy to the top goalscorer in La Liga at the end of the season, they believe it was an own goal because Víctor Sánchez tried to clear the ball, he actually touched the ball but it went in anyways.
I support Barcelona, but I think it was own goal lol Cheesy. But actually it's not first time when Marca had stolen goal from Messi:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.givemesport.com/1442092-marca-claim-lionel-messi-has-only-scored-399-la-liga-goals-not-400%3famp
Anyway, does it really matters? No doubt that Messi will be top scorer of La Liga this season, one goal doesn't change anything

Messi isn’t going to give a damn about 1 goal is he. They’ll win La Liga & potentially have a chance to win the CL. He has more on his mind than fighting to claim that 1 goal.

For Real Madrid? Yes, title race is over...But for Atletico? They're just 10 pts behind Barca. If Barcelona were to lose against Villareal tomorrow (unlikely but who knows) and Atletico wins vs Girona, Atletico will be just 7 pts behind the leaders, and considering that the big game next weekend will be Barcelona vs Ateltico, then a win for Simeone will get them closer to Barca (4 pts)...With 6 games left, anything can happen.

But that's just the perfect scenario for Atletico...For Barcelona, a win next weekend means that the title race will be over and they'll become the league champions.
We already know very well that Barcelona is going to win the title because Atletico needs more than a perfect run to get a chance at it. Barcelona has to lose 3 matches and also make a draw in order for Atletico to be tied with them, but even so Barcelona has a much better goalaverage

Barcelona could have a divided attention with champions league (If they knock Man United out)
If there's a team right now that's used to fighting in all fronts is Barcelona. They're used to winning trebles, plus they won 6 titles in a calendar year, they know how to handle pressure in each competition so I doubt the CL will cause them to slip and drop points. But if they do drop points, it'll be because their opponent played better football, not because Barcelona are prioritizing one competition over the other, at least that's the way I see it.

To me, the fact that there's even a debate to begin with it's really dumb lol

Well analysed,
That'd be the best case scenario for Atletico Madrid and for the remaining 6 games, Barcelona could have a divided attention with champions league (If they knock Man United out)

Really nice goals from Atletico.
Real sucked like all their games this season. I wonder if they can make a comeback with Zizou next season..
I really hope that, because its not satisfying to watch La-Liga when Barcelona is dominating there.

Atletico Madrid is buttering Alaves in their own yard.
4-0 so far with the game already in stoppage time. Atletico trying to tighten the second spot away from their city rival Real Madrid.

That was a huge performance from Atletico and with this performance they seem that they will not lose the second position in the league table from the Real. Alaves is a weak team and I couldn't expect that they can pressure Atletico.

Nah, it's impossible to chasing Barcelona right now, mines 22 points, it's 0 chance. I even think Barcelona is already the winner for this season.

The sad thing is, Real Madrid almost draw vs Huesca which is the very last ranking on la liga. Real Madrid really sucks in this season :/

Agree, though I predicted a 3-1 win in favour of Madrid, I knew today's opponents were going to put up a fight.
Nice to See Big Benz back to the scoring sheets. It's still so unfamiliar having him as Real Madrid La Liga topic scorer with just 15 goals i think?
Messi has like 31 and Suraez around 18.
This is a very big indicator that something was totally amiss for RM this season... This is one campaign Los Blancos would want to forget so quickly.

Real achieved difficult win against Huesca after Benzema scored beautiful late goal by Benzema. Today it was interesting to see son of Zidane - Luca playing as main goalkeeper of Real Madrid. Actually, I never heard about him before, I knew only Enzo Zidane :DHuesca played very well tonight, but after this loss I think they don't have chances to stay in La Liga. With 9 games to go they are 7 points away from safe zone.

It's time to be very wary when betting against these relegation struggling teams, Because they are not going to go down without a fight.
Huesca played well tonight, and were very prepared probably due to the status of their opponents but will it be the same when they're playing against an average side. They'll be very luck to avoid relegation, and they do have only few of tough clashes against Barcelona, and Valencia left on their calender.

So Lucas Zidane is between the sticks for Real Madrid  Grin
Match has just started and i am predicting 3-1 in favour of Real Madrid. Benzema to score.

I took a bet for Madrid to win HT after conceding first need one more goal before the first half ends, I hope Benzema does it

It was tough game. Barca dominated, but for very long time they didn't had good chances to score. Only in 71 minute first goal was scored by Messi (or Victor Sanchez. Guys who watched game, can you explain what Sanchez was trying to do when Messi made free kick? Because it looked like obvious attempt to score own goal Cheesy

So it seem to me too, but I guess it could be an honest attempt to help the keeper out, because I don't think the keeper could have gotten to the ball either way, or perhaps he assumed that Sanchez already got it covered, Maybe it was due to lack of concentration.

Messi had to save the again yet again, Malcom was pretty impressive too.

It's still 0-0 at Half-time at the Camp Nou.
Local neighbours are proving to be stubborn for Barcelona so far. It would be good for the chasing pack if this match ended into a draw or a loss for Barca.
Espanyol at times give Barcelona had time given that its Catalan derby. Let's see how this ends.
