Atletico Madrid lost to Athletic Bilbao at the San mames 2 - 0, and they are now 2 only points ahead of Real Madrid, A win for Barcelona against Real Betis tomorrow will extend the gap to 10 points, and it will be almost impossible to catch them then.
It was an easy match for him and it is normal to start with a win.
I would expect a new attitude in the Real Madrid with more aggressive and attacking play from the first team, especially with the extremes running up and down the pitch. Still the 2-0 is a good start but I expect to see more scoring in the future with Zidane on the bench.

It may seem easy but just remeber the previous 2 coaches struggled. Real Madrid could easily lose or draw even suh matches.
To me until Real Madrid buy more players like replacements to the aging golden generation of Marcelo, Modric, Toni, Benz and also patch up the void left by Ronaldo... there is still going to be a long bumpy road to success.
First win for Real in the new Zidane era. Isco was back in the starting XI and scored. He didn't seem in the best shape though.

I guess that's what Real needed, a little break from Zidane so that now he could come back and show that he I the best coach for Real Madrid. He knows all the players and knows how to create a team that have good chemistry and play well together just as it happened today,with Real leading the whole match. Hopefully, we see more positive results in the future, but I think it is still too late and they'll be ending the season trophyless. but they'll have more time to prepare for the upcoming season.

Haha, not gonna happen. The club president choose to make profits instead of doing every way possible to keep Ronaldo at Real Madrid, which was a very selfish and arrogant decision IMO. Good to see that Real Madrid have signed Zinedine Zidane again. It's going to be very interesting to see how Zinedine will bring Real Madrid back to the top in la liga and champions league again.

I don’t think this will make much of a difference, Real need a squad overhaul in the summer of they won’t be winning anything any time soon. All good things come to an end, they need to build again.
Rumors say that Eden Hazard is going to move to Madrid in the summer. Personally, I don't think that Chelsea is going to leave him and let him sign a deal with Real (at least not till January 2020) as Chelsea will not be able to cover his position. FIFA has punished Chelsea for Financial fair play and they are not able to make any transfers for two transfer windows.

Zidane and Ronaldo's departures were made Real Madrid couldn't do too much. As a result, they make a poor performance on a prestigious league and cup. Let's see how Zidane could fix it, and improve the team even without Ronaldo.

I doubt this is true at all.
Otherwise, why is the VAR team paid? Plus I do follow a lot of sports pages, this would have been the talk of the night up to today.
It's obviously an attempt by someone to discredit the VAR success or probably just a mistake.
This thing was already explained by people above in this thread. It was mistake by TV production team - they showed different VAR room which was used in previous game. Still, it's fun moment.
