Second half was a lot better, mainly because Valladolid were a completely different than in the first half. Anyways, we can't relax now, Getafe are just 6 pts behind us in 4th place.

Lol no way, i think that is just an excuse from La Liga.
Can't believe if that really happened lol, no people on VAR room, i guess the VAR team didn't expect it. I believe it can make a change if valladolid goal accepted.

In my opinion the match with Lyon will be an easy one for Barca since they dominated last time when they played away but they were unlucky to not score a goal there. This would probably be a 3-0,3-1 match mostly depending on how much they will play strong during the match. You can't compare Barca with Lyon, and only a miracle could make Lyon go further in UCL. As for LaLiga title they already proved they worth it

In other game Sevilla reached big win against Sociedad 5:2. It was difficult period for Sevilla, there was even news that their manager Machin can be sacked, so this win is very important. Now they can go to second leg game against Slavia in a good mood.

I got the desired result, but Atletico really did show that this fight is far from over, and this is as much as I was ready to expect anyway.

Perfect result for me would be to see Real Madrid lose again, but even a draw will keep me satisfied. I'm not even a hater to be honest, but instead it is that much respect I have for Real that I don't feel safe even with a 10 points gap advantage.

Harkorede, didn't know you were Barca as well, good luck to us! I have a strong feeling the final this year will be very exciting, even without Real!

I'm an Barcelona fan, but really I'm not sure about our chances of the winning the trophy, I guess we'll see as we get closer into competition, Let's take it one step at a time.

About the Upcoming match against Lyon, I think the team is going to win the match. Playing at home will an added advantage, but still OL shouldn't be underestimated.

Actually, 1:0 result is very common for Atletico. I haven't watched their game today, so I can't comment about it. But usually, they don't score a lot of goals.
In other game Barca won against Rayo Vallecano. It wasn't easy game for Barca, because Rayo scored first. I'm a bit surprised that Barca played in main squad tonight, considering that they will have UCL match against Lyon next week.
Getafe stays in 4th place after difficult win against Huesca. Their Champions league dream is alive. Best La Liga player of February Jaime Mata scored 2 goals tonight - he is on fire!

Yes, the champions league is more important to the players, and fortunately for them, they were able to win the match, thanks to the penalty awarded to them.
Barcelona also won their match too, so it's still the same points difference between both teams.

It seemed to me that the players were looking forward to the Champions League match against Juventus. The win today was very valuable as it keeps Atletico in the solid 2nd position chasing Barcelona. Tuesday's game is more important so it is normal for the squad trying to be restful and ready for the Champions League game.

They don't need De Gea, neither they needed Courtois I think. They have great goalkeeper Navas, so I still can't understand why Real bought Courtois. They spend a lot of money for him instead of spending it to buy potential Ronaldo replacement or improving other positions.
I very much agree with Juggy777 and posted similar thoughts in my previous post. Departure of Ronaldo and Zidane is important reason why Real went down, but they have more problems. But now it seems that Perez want to save money for reconstruction of stadium instead of buying new players.

You can't blame the squad that it is old-fashioned. The players are young and some of them are talented. However, it is not their fault. I think that some of them should not work there because they have a lack of skill and they cannot play at so high level and compete in Champions League and La Liga.
I hate saying that because teams like Real are usually complete, but at the next transfer window, they need to sign some new players.

But I think there is another factor - many of important Real players aren't in their prime anymore like Benzema, Bale. Kroos and Modric also having bad season. I think Real need for rebuild of team to make new "Los Galacticos". But it seems that Perez don't want to open his wallet.

I wasn't making reference to Mourinho, I think he'd definitely take the job if he's being approached, I was actually talking about Zidane, I saw him on a list of managers that could be hired by Madrid.
