I have huge doubt that Zidane would return to Madrid, at least not when Florentino Perez is still the club's president,
You mean Mourihno, right?
Because, I was talking about Mour.
For Mour's case, his return is very likely. Mour mostly cares about the money, and he has done it before at Chelsea... But he's not the kind of Coach for Real Madrid right now. I feel he will just make things worse with his defensive kind of approach which is not Los Blancos style.
Ronaldo, Di Maria and Ozil who used to catch teams on the break with counter-attacking football are long gone unless there is a complete overhaul in the team.

I don't think Zidane wanted to leave, but he left because of pressure knowing well in his mind that anytime, ungrateful Perez would just fire him at will. Perez just need to quit too if Madrid is to come back strong.

Also there are rumors that Mourihno might get back to Real Madrid... very bad news in my opinion  Angry

I have huge doubt that Zidane would return to Madrid, at least not when Florentino Perez is still the club's president, except they come a reasonable conclusion on how things will be run within the club, Zidane kept everything away from the press, I'm definitely it was never his intention to leave Madrid in such a manner,

Lots of Real’s main players are in their 30’s, it’s the natural decline of every great team. Nothing lasts forever, I’m sure they’ll buy big in the summer & go again.
True but I think Perez has also been a problem lately. He does not respect legends at all. I know Ronaldo is old, but he was the fear factor at Madrid. When you take Ronaldo out without any serious replacement, you certainly make the team look less fearless.

Real Madrid is not what it used to be with Cristiano playing for them, no matter that they don't accept this statement because of their pride.

The attacking division creates a lot of opportunities but they fail to conclude them, Barcelona creates less but are far more cost effective as they conclude better than Real Madrid.

I'm not sure there will be a major overhaul to team squad as long as Perez remains president of the club, Managers and some players have spoken out about the president dictating the shot to be taken by coaches, I also read about Zidane and Ronaldo leaving the club due to a similar issue.

Here's a quote from one of Ronaldo's interview
Quote
"I felt it inside the club, especially from the president, that they no longer thought of me like they did at the start"

"The president looked at me through eyes that didn’t want to say the same thing, as if I was no longer indispensable to them, if you know what I mean. That’s what made me think about leaving."

Well, Barcelona won again and they now have a 12-points gap with Real Madrid...I think it's safe to say that we're out of the title race and our main objective will be, once again, the Champions League.

In other news, Sevilla lost today, meaning that Alaves and Getafe have the opportunity to reach top 4 (Alaves are in 4th place but Getafe plays tomorrow).

Wouldn’t surprise me if Real win the CL again, they’re definitely a team on the decline but they have a special magic when they’re in the CL. Like you said, La Liga is over for them. All eggs in the CL basket now.

Barcelona deserves this La Liga championship this year. Real Madrid hasn't shown any extraordinary performance neither on La Liga or on Champions League. There are many teams that they deserve to win CL and this is not definitely Real Madrid. The mediocre performance will continue and I think it will end badly with the coach resignation.

Finally my beloved Barcelona has overturned years of being in 2nd place with El Clasico head-to-head statistics. I miscounted and thought we were still behind but yesterday night the news says they are now leading by one.

Only problem now is we need to win Champions League because it's so annoying to see the same guys win it again and again.

Athletico still have a chance. 7 points is so small. Barcelona draw 1 game and it becomes 5 points. If Atletico turn on the power at Nou Camp, it becomes 2 points.

@Harkorede yeah Barca played much better, but still couldn't compete in terms of chances created - but to win like that twice in a row? I think this game settles the La Liga... but I do want Atleti to win tonight... be nice to see Barca slip up in next 2 games, 7 points maybe becomes 5 or 4? They still have Copa del Rey and CL distractions too.

Imagine Real ending this season with nothing, though. I would love to meet them in CL (Liverpool here) and KO them but that's fantasy talking;)

For what it is worth, I consider Real Madrid to be out of the title race,  even though it is still mathematically possible. I just don't see Barca losing 4 matches from the remaining 12 matches, while Madrid will have to win every sing le one. As for Atletico Madrid I think the title could be determined between both teams at the 2nd leg fixture in Camp Nou.
Atletico are still in fight for title I think. But I looked at schedule of Barca and there are not many difficult opponents left for Barca. Barca will play against Atletico at home, Betis, Eibar and that's all
Meanwhile Atleti will meet Bilbao, Eibar, Valencia, Sevilla and match against Barca at Camp Nou. Their schedule is more difficult I think.

Barcelona played so far in the game plays better in a particularly heavy attacks with the mess is getting more effective. I expected a little better with the Real Madrid fans, but I did not see print until now, except for Modric attack.

Let's take a measure of how the second half, Solari. Especially early in the second half of Real Madrid's goals will not find trouble.

I think Barca played better today than they did on wednesday, Messi isn't as sharp as he used to be, or doesn't seem fully fit.  Real Madrid played well enough but, just can't seem to find their finish touches, Vinicius Jr played absolutely well from my perspective and I'd consider him a great asset for Real Madrid upcoming generation.

But, now it's fair enough to say that no CR7 no celebration, some cases I really missed Christino a lot. Barcelona beat Real Madrid twice respectively. That scoreline should never be acceptable, need more work on the finishing and center back positioning. Same thing, Vinicius Jr the only reason I watch.

Real really misses Ronaldo. They need someone to score goals. Benzema and Vinicius are creative players but they're not finishers, they'd rather make one last pass than take a shot at goal.
I think Barca deserved to win this one, they had more opportunities in front of the goal and were better overall in midfield.
Game was ok, not great.

I had a double with Barca and AS Roma. Serie A is not going well for me. I lost the double because Roma could not make it. They were destroyed by 3 goals.

Honestly speaking I do not see anyone in La Liga to challenge the season title from Barcelona. There are still a lot of matches to play however I think Barcelona will smile at the end.

Yeah, Barca played better today than in last El Clasico. Both teams had quite many chances to score, but we saw only one goal. Vinicius is only 18 years old, but he is one of the key players of Real recently. Today it was very difficult for Roberto to stop him. I also can't understand why Ramos didn't even get yellow card after he elbowed Messi face

Sevilla is playing terrible in La Liga recently - they haven't managed to win in 5th consecutive game in La Liga. Meanwhile I'm surprised about Huesca recent results. I was more than sure that they're going to relegate, but now they are only 3 points away from safe zone.

El classico again. Which is this third match they play in last two weeks. For me no matter if they play on Santiago in Madrid think that Barca is favorite for this match. They play in good form and real is struggling in primera this season very disappointing considering renown of the club. Going to play on goals cuz think this match is always fill with them 3+ goals on this match.

If Real will lose tomorrow, it will be impossible to reach Barca when there is 12 points gap and 12 games left. Meanwhile Barca have safe advantage against Atletico and Real, so even if they will lose this match, nothing terrible won't happen. Also, Real probably will be angry tomorrow after big loss in Copa game. If I need to choose, I would predict that game will be end draw...

I am thinking of backing Real not to lose or playing both to score and over 2,5. I didn't watch the whole game in the cup during the week but from what I saw Real was much better side and only very good day from Barca keeper and bad luck stooped them from scoring at least 2 in the first half. 3:0 for Barca was definitely a bit harsh for them. I believe they saw they can play against this Barca and they will try to prove it. Should be great match anyhow, looking forward to it.
