For me, it is surprising that Barcelona was defeated by 4 goals at home. Although Barcelona could score 2 goals, Girona succeed scoring 4 goals.
I could have predicted that Barcelona would lose, but I couldn't have predicted that they would concede 4 goals. They conceded those 4 goals in a home game. Some matches have really surprising results. Girona players really wanted to win and they showed it in the match. They have endless energy and they always want to score goals. They don't care who the opponent is and they just want 3 points.
This was exactly embarrassing.
Girona lost to Real Madrid at that time, so I would also think that if they also bowed to Barcelona, especially playing at Camp Nou is not an easy thing. Because after all, Girona can be said to be a new competitor in op positions. However, when we saw how they started the match, especially by scoring a goal first, there, Girona became more on fire and unpredictable. Even though Barcelona also played quite well, they even dominated the match and put a lot of pressure on Girona's goal area. However, to be honest, the level of cohesion of the Girona players in this line was high, so they were quite united in repelling the various attacks they received. Their self-confidence is increasing and increasing, as is the quality of their play.
Now imagine Real Madrid can win La Liga and the Champions League title and Bellingham finishes the season with something like 45 goals in 55 games or so, wouldn't he be a potential world player award winner? Given that he is not playing as a pure striker and yet he can keep up with the best strikers in Europe would be a good reason for me to take him onto the podium for those awards.
This will be an awesome achievement for Real Madrid and especially Bellingham at his relatively young age. However, of course the process will not be that easy. In La Liga, they are indeed favorites to win, but Real Madrid really needs more effort and consistency so that they can regain the first position which is currently being taken over by Girona. On the other hand in the UCL, their progress to the round of 16 was their opening to show that Real Madrid is still strong enough to survive in the UCL. With the hope that Real Madrid can bring back the UCL trophy this season too.
