Real Madrid was unable to win their game against Rayo Vallecano last weekend while league leaders defeated Osasuna by 4 goals to two on Saturday which now gives Girona a two point gap ahead of Real Madrid in the Spanish La Liga standings.
Like you rightly pointed out, I think Real Madrid's failure to sign a replacement for Karim Benzema last summer is somehow affecting the squad and that's in a day Jude Bellingham who's been the club's top scorer this season couldn't score, there was no one else to score for Los Blancos. Real Madrid though did not win their game last weekend, but I think they're still my favorites to win the Spanish La Liga title this season

Girona getting the leadership once again and after so many weeks is a marvel to me. I mean I get that a few weeks could make sense, every team could have a good few weeks that could be done, but that doesn't mean that you are going to end up with a result that would be easy to estimate after a while.

I believe that nobody expected them to be this good and they are doing better than anyone else could have said beforehand. It's even a bigger shock than the Spurs results at premier league, which nobody expected neither but Girona feels even more wild without a doubt, they are a small time small value team if you compare it to everyone else. Joao Felix is a different situation all together, that dude was expected to do a lot better.

I think Madrid is still equal in the favorite club category in the UCL with Bayern Munchen and Manchester City, because it would be too much if a draw against Rayo meant that Madrid lost their favorite status. Felix never showed amazing performance. This is why yamal or even gulu were shining more than felix. Felix thought that moved to the barcelona will able to help him change his fate but there was no different with the result. Felix tried so hard to join Barcelona and he said before how he likes to play in this team but still his performance was not as good enough as we were expecting to see from him.

He has had several chances at different clubs now and the truth is that for over half a decade he could not maintain a great performance for many games in a row. I think this is insufficient and I would put him on the bench and use him as a joker at best.
