Real Madrid did have not too bad match and they created some opportunities to get goals but unluckily they did not score any goal. They have good enough performance to give them belief that they can beat Barcelona in a second leg and win in aggregated result.

About confidence, I don't think I can find any club that have very solid confidence about themselves like Real Madrid in a long history as well as in the past two seasons. All challenges they passed through to win Champions League in the past season prove a lot about their confidence and ability to beat biggest opponents.

Real Madrid didn't have a lot of solutions to the strong defense of Barcelona. And this is what Barcelona is counting on. They took the first difficult hurdle by collecting the three points and scoring a goal in Madrid. That is more than they expected. I am sure they would have been ok with a draw and then try to win it at home.

Now the situation is quite different and I think it is not a 50-50 game anymore. It is more like 58-42, probably not quite 60-40. Also, some of the players that were now missing in Madrid will return until the second leg if everything goes according to plan. That is Lewandowski, Pedri, but also Dembele as far as I know. That is a whole different story for their offensive game and another threat that Real Madrid has to take care of during the game while they need to try and play offensive themselves.

Barcelona team managed to defeat Real Madrid by performing brilliantly. Real Madrid created some great chances at home. But Barcelona's defense put in a superb performance to fend off those chances.

I think the Barcelona team will be able to put up a solid performance even though several Barcelona players are out of the squad. Because Barcelona is not relying on any specific player now. In the last match, we saw they won against Real Madrid. And against Madrid, they were able to win only because of their brilliant match strategy. It will not be easy for Barcelona to win the next match against the Valencia team. But my guess is Barcelona will win or the match will be a draw. I don't think Barcelona will lose.

I don't know what to think of Real Madrid after they lost the last Elclassico with Barcelona but looking at the first and second leg, I think it's a settled match since Real Madrid won the first leg while Barcelona won the second leg both away matches, how hilarious this turned out.
Real Madrid should be able to win against Betis because Fekir would be absent in that match and looking at their recent matches, they are lagging behind and that should secure 3 point for Madrid if they are serious. However, the question is, will Barcelona afloat in one place to see Real Madrid comes close to them, they will likely win Valencia even as their good squad is injured.

But that does not seem to happen with the Croatian midfielder, Modric still played the full 90 minutes in the matches and did not show any fatigue, did not fall behind. At the last World Cup, Luka Modric made a great contribution to helping Croatia win tickets to the semi-finals.

With his form intact and not looking "old", Modric is too deserving of a new contract at the Bernabeu, not a replacement.

I agree with you, majority of players at his age completely lost their format and this happen with almost all football players but we can see that modric still doing very well, a New contract will be a good decision in my opinion and the team will surely not regret it

Barcelona is the best team in La Liga. The team players have been able to strengthen the base of the team tremendously. Besides, the coach of the team, Xavi, is taking the team forward by arranging extraordinary talents.

However, it's difficult to find good play maker like Modric in modern football. Such players now barely appear and I have not seen any young player has potential to become new Modric.
