I think Barcelona will win their next match to get to second position in la liga table. Barcelona team are fully ready to take over the second position to prepare the mind of their fans that this season champion title belong to them. Since Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are the same point, it will be very easy for Barcelona to use their next match to improve their points to remain in second position in la Liga table.

The match between Real sociedad vs Espanyol was a challenge for Real sociedad to prepare well to achieve victory from their remaining 8 matches. Real sociedad coach was not too comfortable with the match because of the way Espanyol players was blocking their way not to have any opportunity to disgrace them with many goals.

This was no simple victory. Although they played better throughout the match, the match almost ended in a draw. We can say that they won by chance with a penalty goal in the 90+6th minute. I agree with you. Winning the La Liga title is still almost impossible for Barcelona at this moment. Real Madrid is a strong and experienced team. They know exactly how to secure the title. So Barcelona should try to win the Europa League title. And trying to perform well in Europa League matches. Since Barcelona has yet to win a title this season, Xavi's only goal now should be to win the Europa League title.

Well this is still a possibility with Madrid's record still not in good form and at least they have to get a few bad results in the remaining matches. But it's going to be a little difficult now. It's easy to say against madrid in the rest of their matches because in the last 8 matches their opponents who were quite difficult to face were Atletico, Betis and Sevilla.
If they can get through that with a convincing win then it will be very difficult for Barcelona in my opinion

Barcelona can put pressure on Real Madrid who are at the top of the table. Victory after victory must be won every week to keep the distance from Real Madrid.
Losing points for Real Madrid would be an advantage for Barcelona. I think Real Madrid will feel the pressure, if you don't want to be chased by Barcelona, Real Madrid must always be consistent in every game.

It's still quite difficult to happen even though Barcelona press but when Madrid continue to win it's also not very good because it will not be caught forever. seeing Madrid lose is one of the difficult things even though they are currently in poor form after being beaten by Barcelona in the previous 2 weeks but still seeing them lose is something that is quite difficult to happen

I think the host factor is influential in this match and is profitable for Real Sociedad of course. But Espanyol put up a difficult fight for Real Sociedad. They came close to a draw before a late goal from Real Sociedad dropped Espanyol's hopes. Isak became the actor of Espanyol's painful defeat after successfully executing a penalty.

Yes, I admit Real Sociedad is almost lost today if Isak didn't create a penalty goal in injury time. Even has 70% of ball position, 17 shots, and 6 shots on goal, the reality is they have enough difficulty scoring in normal time. They also have 6 corner kicks and 4 offsides throughout the game, because Espanyol implements a strong defense. Now, only 1 different point left in the Europe league zone, if win in the next game versus Elche and Betis, they will be able to beat Betis's position and far away from villareal.

Real Sociedad did score once in the match but it was ruled out by the VAR decision. I think both teams had good chances to score in the match but obviously, Real Sociedad had better chances.
Alexander Isak really played well in that match and created some really good chances also in my opinion. I think if it was not for the defenders of Espanyol they would have been down by at least two goals in that match.
