As I understand, Real will have an almost optimal squad and Barcelona today has a chance to suffer a major defeat. Madrid is favorite today maybe because they are leader in the standings but as we know the Super Cup is an important game so Barcelona won't let it go
Another consideration is maybe this is the only chance for Barcelona to win a trophy this season every effort will be made for this one.

I would not be so confident in Real Madrid. Madrid know how to create problems for themselves out of the blue. Nobody is safe from loss of points. And as you can see, Real Madrid often loses them in games with weak opponents. In addition, the Champions League is ahead, and the substitutes at Madrid cannot fully replace the main players.

Its not easy to predict between Real Madrid vs Barcelona although first meeting Madrid success win on La Liga, right now Barcelona have full team after Ferran Torres can play in this match and will get many option for Xavi Hernandez for forward position. I think keep Madrid as favorite to win but will be not easy how to defeat Barcelona, I think just scoring one or two goal only if Madrid can play with full team if Benzema and Vinicius Jr will playing at the early minutes.

It really becomes more interesting and gives a bet that this will certainly be bigger. First, Barcelona no longer has as much power as it used to, while Real Madrid has the upper hand. We can not conclude about result when match has yet started and finished. It is a El Clasico so Barcelona can suddenly play better than what they usually do. I agree about the ability to win this derby for Barcelona in theory but as said, it is a very big El Clasico in Spain. Everything can happen in such a big match.

Actually I expected El Clasico to happen in the final, but it turns out that the two teams have to meet in the semifinals, apart from the title El Classico, I think the match between Barcelona and Real Madrid is like the final that happen too earlier in the Spanish Super Cup this season. Now real madrid are definitely more favorites because of barcelona declining performance this season, but even so I think el classico is still el classico which has always presented fierce matches so far, even though barcelona condition is deteriorating now but I think they will still give their best to destroy Madrid, because so far El Classico is not only always a match but often decorated with prestige and also risking the pride of who is the best club in Spain.
