Although Barcelona’s position is a bit understanding with all the crises happening in the club and loosing some important players, they know they wouldn’t be able to compete for the title this time around.
But Atletico Madrid are lacking behind in the league thus far and as for Real Madrid, they have been so good this season and I respect them a lot, from the manager down to all the players

Atletico Madrid are really too bad and they are not much different than Barcelona considering their general statistics. Barcelona's recent performance in the league has been even better than Atletico Madrid's. And I'm curious about if this will change for Atletico Madrid. Because they are already far away from the leader. The gap is 16 points now. Maybe they have a game missing but this wouldn't upset the balances much. It is even doubtful if they will manage to end the season in top four.

I never expected Atletico Madrid performance to be this bad this season. They are indeed unstable and also far from competing with Real Madrid for the La Liga title. Although, their performance last season was incredible, they played 38 La Liga's matches and lost only 4. I don't honestly know what probably happened to them this season. It doesn't seems Simeone is really the problem of Atletico. They just need to rebuild their squad, and sign in new young players. However, Atletico Madrid have a tough match ahead, they will be facing Valencia in their next La Liga match. Is obviously not an easy game, but am expecting a winning from them.

Atletico Madrid started gathering strength after defeating Rayo Vallecano by 2-0 home first. But on the recent week, they had a very tough game against Villarreal away. And it was obvious that they were going to have problems. Because Villarreal are one of the quite in-form teams in the La Liga right now. Before this game, they won their last four league games which is very impressive. And here, they were really close to winning too. They kept their lead nicely until Kondogbia scores in the 67th minute. But still they didn't let Atletico Madrid win.

Elche started fast and found goal with Pere Milla in 5th minute. Now Espanyol live winning odds rise to 2.35. I still believe it's very risky to bet on Espanyol because Elche plays better. We haven't seen much yet though Elche is more productive tonight. Elche scored second goal now (Pere Milla again), I don't think Espanyol can make a comeback. This match is over after 15 minutes. Elche can make a good defense and defend that 2 goals lead and get 3 points.

When taking these two teams performance played on 23rd Oct in consideration, yes its going to be questioned who will win the match. But looking at the recent matches each played with other teams, Espanyol has been performing well than Elche. Yes. Espanyol has won 3 matches and lost 2 maches in the last 5 matches but Elche just own a match, drawn 2 and lost 2. So there are lot chances for a win but yes Espanyol has to keep last match in mind and win the match instead of drawing a match.

Here are the odds for this match, 1.85 - 3.85 - 4.8.
Espanyol got smaller odds than Elche because maybe the bookie thought they were the favourites. There are better draw odds where 3.85 is a decent chance for this match. Espanyol have not been very good in the last few match (unstable), but they are strong. But Elche can get enough motivation to get out of the relegation zone.

actually in this match i felt they could win this match but indeed gavi red card turned things around. The last 10 minutes they were forced to defend and indeed the quality of Barcelona's defenders at this time can be said to be quite bad because they are still not well coordinated. and this cost them their 3 points in the last minute.

but not without reason, at the beginning of the league they went through something tough because some of their core players were injured and indeed this is what made them slump. I think this result is fair enough. Two teams played well. Atletico stopped Villareal's winning streak. Their four wins came to a halt with Kondogbia's goal. I was pretty caught up with a long-range goal from Correa. Villareal's goalkeeper could only be stunned to see the ball go into the net. The draw leaves Atletico with the same points as Socieddad. After this they will compete in the Supercoppa de espana and Copa del Rey. Next they will play Valencia in the league.

Maybe the coach has something wrong. But we cannot blame him completely. You know, Atletico Madrid's squad is not strong enough. Atletico Madrid won the title the previous season because Suarez performed exceptionally well throughout the season. He was able to score a lot of goals.

I think Atletico Madrid are out of the title race they can't keep the title , this season Madrid and Sevilla are the main candidates while Barcelona and Atletico only compete for CL tickets.

I think that a championship race between Real Madrid and Sevilla will not be a very long race. Sevilla will break out of the race after a while and Real Madrid will be on their way to the championship alone. If we look at the games played this year, Real Madrid is the only team in La Liga as the favorite of the championship.

Atletico Madrid and Villareal made very interesting match with many goals and so many arguable moments.

Each coach has his own philosophy so you can not require a coach to change it. If he does it, he will make thing worse, not better. Please don't ask coach like Conte, Mourinho or Simeone have to manage their teams to play aggressively attacking. Don't ask coaches like Klopp, Pep to require their players to play seriously defensive.

They can make such changes but I am sure they will fail because they are not experts with such tactics so how will they bring success to their clubs?

Sevilla next match are against valencia , they could cut the points from 5 to 2 by 19 january as real madrid next match will be played on 23 january against elche. i wish sevilla could grab the full three points from valencia as los murciélagos have lost their last two matches consecutively, could be the third one against sevilla.

they shouldnt wasted that chance if they are being serious chasing the la liga title.
