But in this season, things may become quite different. I expect a higher competition from Barcelona and Real Madrid this time. I guess that Atletico won't succeed in winning the title 2 times in a row. This time, I expect a big competition between Barcelona and Real Madrid for the title.
I think this will be a battle between Atl Madrid and Barcelona and maybe even Sevilla this season. Real Madrid is really week this season and i dont think they can compete for the current title. They need to get a few more good players if they want to win the title

From what I can see from reading the news, it looks like they are very close to getting the deal done for Varane and Manchester United. I think Manchester United can play a decent role and they are a bit more attractive again than in the years before when they really were only an average team. Now they have a relatively good balance in the team and if they can sign three or four good players, they'll well be able to compete in the coming season.

According to AS, Manchester Utd are really close to ending Varane deal in a few days successfully. The player is already very keen on going there. Real Madrid should start looking for strong defenders already now. If they don't make the necessary transfers, they may have big problems on winning the league title. By saying necessary transfers, I mean a CB and a top CF.

I don't think Real Madrid will be the best candidate for La Liga trophy. They still rely too much on old players: Casemiro, Modric, Kroos, Benzema, Marcelo. Those players shown well in the season 2020 - 2021 but I don't know they will be able to play as good as that in the new season.
Alaba need time to connect with other defenders and if Varane leaves the club, Alaba can not fix that hole.

Barcelona can but Real Madrid can not. Real will need two or three seasons to come back.
