If that doesn't happen I don't see them competing for the champions league title. They may win La Liga because Barcelona is also only so so, but beyond that it is going to be rough again for them.

The reasons he wants to go Real Madrid is best known to him,because he knows fully well that as it stands,PSG are in full capacity than Madrid and that's why I think something is attracting Mbape to Real Madrid.Or he thinks if he's there,he can compete with Messi again.Lets all just wait and see where he ends up.

Yeah, they don't have the most chance with the squad they currently have. They are under the risk of losing Varane. For now, they need a top striker the most not to depend only on Benzema. But if they lose Varane also, they will need a good defender also. They released Ramos but signed Alaba. If Varane goes, they will have to fill his place too.

At Barcelona Messi still hasn't signed a contract with Barcelona. It's going to be really interesting if this deal doesn't happen somehow. But I suppose they will finish the deal positively.

So, I think that Atletico still have a chance for the title again. But Barcelona have strengthened their squad so they can compete really well for the title.

I do agree that unless ATM gets that championship high and start to play worse just because they feel like they have done what they need to and give up, then they will have a chance to win, all they have to do is comeback to win it again, which is not easy but they may do it. Real on the other hand is in the middle of both teams, they are not as good as ATM because they were champions and getting better, whereas Real is basically a new team, they have new players and ancelotti will have to prove, either they will be even better and the best or they may become worse, it is unknown at this stage.

It's certain that Ramos is gone, Alaba might come. But Alaba is a left-back. Then if Varane leaves Madrid it will be even more difficult. Of course he will be with Anceloti, but if it is true that there is no shopping for new players it is like a nightmare. Next season will probably be boring. I may think otherwise with you, in my opinion, Barcelona have a greater chance of winning next season than Madrid, in addition to their bigger squad and the number of star players who joined this season making the Barcelona squad more dangerous next season, besides That's of course the messi factor that stayed in barcelona making the team more complete, and unlike the case with madrid today, which was left by some of its core players such as ramos and varane (still rumours) so that their team limped a bit because until now madrid had not found a replacement think alaba will not be enough to be able to strengthen the madrid defense.

Modric and Cross are already at the end of their careers, it is clear that their best years are already behind them, and they are not keeping up with young, fast players. I don't think Real Madrid will be the best candidate for La Liga trophy. They still rely too much on old players: Casemiro, Modric, Kroos, Benzema, Marcelo. Those players shown well in the season 2020 - 2021 but I don't know they will be able to play as good as that in the new season.
Alaba need time to connect with other defenders and if Varane leaves the club, Alaba can not fix that hole.

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid look to be better candidates and I think Barcelona will be improved more in the second season of Koeman and with some good transfers.
