This is going to be probably one of Hansi Flick's test as Barcelona seek to tackle Villarreal at the El Madrigal today. So far this season Barcelona have done exceptionally brilliant against all their opponents in the la Liga winning all their games both home and away and even beating bitter rivals Girona by 4 goal to 1 last Sunday when they both met at Girona, though  they couldn't get a win at Monaco were they had one of their player sent off in the first half thereby losing the game by 2 goals to 1, but against Villarreal today they would be looking forward to getting back to winning ways, I think it's going to be a very tedious match for Barcelona because Villarreal always makes it difficult for Barcelona especially when they play at home and today wouldn't be an exception and they may share the point if they can stop Barcelona's fiery attacking line up.

Espanyol must be regretful for scoring that goal first.    That was the thing to fire up Real Madrid players to win by a big score like 4-1. By the way I think the last penalty call was just ridiculous. The defender started to pull Endrick from the shirt way before and even Endrick started to fall outside of the penalty area. What is this nonsense decision?  

Yeah maybe Real Madrid were still going to be the winner most probably. But I just want to underline the importance of referee decisions. Even in VAR's existence this kind of huge mistakes are still made, such a disgrace...

The best defense is to attack continuously. But indeed when Madrid failed and got a counterattack they seemed to have difficulties. Indeed, so far Courtois has been able to perform well. In addition, Madrid has not had a strong opponent, so, they have not conceded much.
Looking at the course of the match, it seems that Endrick did perform well. Coming in as Rodrygo's handler, he became the main actor in Madrid's fourth goal from the penalty. Endrick's move has been incredible, in proving to Ancelotti he deserves to be the first choice.

Maybe because Mbappe still needs time to adapt can be used as an excuse now and indeed personally I think people should understand that and not be too excessive in measuring Mbappe's contribution now.
And for Real Madrid's performance we can see that they are getting better and slowly showing their best performance after having difficulties at the beginning of the season.

Sevilla's performance has been bad since the last 2 seasons in La Liga and this season I think there is something wrong with this club, whether it is the coach or the players, this summer Sevilla did not recruit many players and most of Sevilla took players with free agent status this shows that Sevilla did not make many improvements in their players and they also sold some of their important players one of which is Youssef En-Nesyri, a striker who is usually relied on by the club and Sevilla itself did not look for a replacement, maybe that's why Sevilla experienced a decline in performance that is getting worse this season.

With the win over Espanyol, Real Madrid made it three consecutive wins in La Liga. Madrid won the sixth match to move up to second place in the points table behind Atletico Madrid and Villarreal. Now ahead of them is their arch-rival Barcelona. Barcelona have played one match less than Real Madrid but today they will play their sixth match against Villarreal. If the Catalans win this match, they will go further. Villarreal are unbeaten in their last five matches against the opposition but Barcelona were unfortunately beaten by Monaco in their UEFA Champions League opener. Which may put them in a bit of discomfort in this match. However, Barcelona have the upper hand in this match as Barca have the head-to-head record between these two teams.

People think that scoring a penalty goal is not really taken into account even though it takes a strong mentality for players and I think there are not many players who are able to execute penalties because not scoring a goal can have an effect. Mbappe's performance is slowly improving in the squad and I think he will be one of the next top scorers in the team. There is a slight weakness because many Real Madrid players are injured so their game is not very good.

When facing Mallorca, Real Madrid's performance was quite good and they found their usual rhythm. Although Mbappe only managed to score a goal through a penalty, his performance looked so consistent and over time he will find his best form.

My suggestion is to never take Girona as your bet next time. They lost 80% of their key players last season. They sold Dovbyk. They let Savinho and Yan Couto go to City. Their loans for Alex Garcia, Pau Victor, and Pablo Torre have ended. They get a factory reset with many of their best players from last season leaving the club.

Girona backs again as a middle-table club. They potentially lose in their upcoming schedule. Their new players forced them to change their old strategy. It makes them struggle to beat any team in La liga.

Unbelievable to see how fast Girona grounded. This after they went to the moon last season.

Real Madrid game really looked very good when it entered the second half, in the first half Real Madrid played with more dominant look relaxed or careful and after Courtois failure to save the ball and give Espanyol 1 goal made Real Madrid game much more aggressive and very competitive in attacking efforts.
I could already guess when the first half was over, I thought that Real Madrid would really attack Espanyol defense when it entered the second half as in every previous Real Madrid match which always showed their strength more dominantly and very impressively when it entered the second half.
This victory is very much deserved for them to get and I really satisfied with the results of this victory which made Real Madrid able to save 3 points, but unfortunately the odds that team like Real Madrid has are always low.

I'm sure you're not alone, almost all gamblers think the same thing including me the reason is because the opponent is Valencia, we know before Valencia is in bad performance also never won and their defense was so weak that Girona had a chance to score unfortunately luck was not on Girona's side. Another reason is that Girona previously played away against Sevilla and they won well it should be easier against Valencia because Sevilla are in a better position, but yeah anything can happen in a match.

Today La Liga still has several matches left, one of which is Rayo Vallecano vs Atletico Madrid, well, here Atletico Madrid is trying to get 3 points to catch up with Real Madrid in 2nd place. Here I predict Atletico Madrid will win with a low goal because they usually play defensively when playing away so i will consider betting on under goals. By the way, Kylian Mbappé managed to take over the top scorer list after scoring his 4th goal in the last match. well this is the answer for anyone who doubts Mbappe when playing in La Liga.

Betting on Girona win is risky. This team is not as strong as last season. This team surprised everyone by consistently performing well in the last season. No one expects Girona to finish in the top four of the table. But the team's performance was pretty consistent till the end of the season.

However, I wouldn't call Girona a strong team this season. Girona management sold Artem Dovbyk and Garcia, two of the best players in their squad. Both of these players performed superbly in Girona's jersey for the entire season last season. And because of Dovbyk's absence, Girona's attacking performance is now unstable.

The challenge Real Madrid will always face is Carlo Ancelotti's ability to combine these goal-hungry and personal award-hungry players. I have predicted that the same disorganization that PSG suffered might surface in the best club in Europe. But it seems the experienced coach has been able to manage the situation for now. Bringing in Vinicius Junior and Endrick was beneficial because we saw their immediate impact in the match. Mbappe is still trying to find stability in a team with a few shots that were saved by the goalie. But, there is a good synergy between these key players; if it continues, Real will be unstoppable.

The goal margin is massive but Espanyol showed some great attacking runs that would have produced more goals. You wouldn't know that they were just promoted to the first division. If they continue this way, they might be able to make it a European competition if they are lucky.

I bet on Girona to score just one goal. Away team to score one goal and to my greatest surprise Girona couldn't score a single goal against Valencia that are struggling. I knew that Valencia would fight so hard to get their first win of the season or at least get a draw. So I concluded that at least Girona getting a goal in that match would be the best option for me. But it shocked me that Girona couldn't get a single goal in the match. This is a Girona team that is playing in the champions league and I'm still finding it difficult to believe that they couldn't score a single goal. I was really thinking that Girona will replicate their last season form, but it's surprising to see the way the way things are turning out for them. It's just a disappointing result for Girona.

You should understand that last season Girona was at their best performance because they started very well and they picked up with that same energy until they met Real Madrid, When they met Real Madrid and they beat them both Home/Away and they became weak because that two matches caused them to drop from top of the table and Real Madrid reclaimed the top of the table, it then kills Girona's energy and morale, hence if you reflect back to Girona performance after they lost to Real Madrid you would see that they dropped in form and where not able to improve till the end of the season.

Now, this season they are having same feeling that Real madrid will intimidate them again, due to the quality players they have got, therefore their reason for not making any quality improvement since this season started because they feels so inferior of themselves.

Vinicius Junior is an important player in Real Madrid in last four years and it's not surprised to see Vinicius made great impacts after joining the match as a substitution. Mbappe can be considered as a biggest star player in Real Madrid but there are other attacking players who are not too low under Mbappe in quality and contributions. Vinicius and Rodrygo are ready to support Mbappe but also are able to challenge a biggest star player position in Real Madrid.

Ancelotti is very cleverly to combine these players and he also tries to give chance for a youth player Endrick to play in La Liga when possible. It is a good management from Ancelotti to grow up Endrick in a similar way that was used for Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo some years ago.

Mbappe is only a player in a team with 11 players and some other players on bench too. He can know that he can not win all matches, win titles by only himself, and he needs team mates to support him. They must win and lose together, but if they can play together well, they will be able to win titles together. Mbappe will be recognized more in Real Madrid, get more respect from his team mates if he won't let his high ego affects his playing style.

It seems the hardest time in Real Madrid already gone and Mbappe now are very comfortable playing there, so his performances are becoming better recent matches.

With Valencia's disastrous start to this season and Girona's excellent season last season it was logical but I think it will be clear this year that Girona's form last season was exceptional and that they will be mid-table at best.

I'm not too interested in highlighting the goal scored by Mbappe when his team managed to make a sensational comeback against Espanyol, regardless of whether the goal was a penalty or not, what's important is that Real Madrid have found their best form. Real Madrid immediately acted quickly after Espanyol managed to open their lead by maintaining the rhythm of the game and creating many opportunities, speed in carrying out attacks was the key to their success in achieving victory.

After being held to a draw by Mallorca and Las Palmas, I see Real Madrid returning to their best version, an aggressive game by continuously pressuring the opponent's defense will make it easier for them to get full points. Now the pressure is on Barcelona after Real Madrid managed to reduce the gap with them, Hansi Flick's troops have just suffered their first defeat in the UCL and will now face Villarreal who are unbeaten in their last five matches.
