How do we rate this Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid this season? For ones they can't play straight 5 games without showing how they love playing draw especially ATM. I love how they (ATM) have been performing but they still need to always be consistent because if they eventually play against Barcelona I don't think they can be able to withstand the force Barcelona are going to come with, even Madrid can't easily stop Barcelona as of now because Barcelona style of play is quite different from what we witness last season, they have been on top of their game without giving their opponent a breathing space to regroup. So with ATM and Madrid trying their best to top the table I think they have to go through Barcelona, as it is I'm not sure if either of them can beat Barcelona.

If they were down to 10 players in the Monaco match, they would probably have beaten Monaco. Barcelona Team is a goal machine. Lewandowski was going to make a treble today, but he could not convert the penalty kick into a goal in the 67th minute. He was nevertheless named player of the match.
It looks like Barça will have a high-scoring season compared to last year.
He could break the goalscoring record this season.
He will play against Young Boys at home on October 1st and I expect a lot of goals in this match. There will be at least 6-7 goals.

I agree, the red card that Eric Garcia received in the game against Monaco was the decisive factor in Barcelona's defeat in the European Champions League match. I have always said that in a competition like the European Champions League, you should not make mistakes like that, because a mistake like that has disastrous consequences. Unlike domestic league games where it is possible to do well with 10 players on the field. Barcelona's victory today shows a strong and consistent attack. I am surprised that even without Dani Olmo they continue to score so many goals. But Barcelona has some bad news.

Barcelona No.1 Marc-Andre ter Stegen 'could miss rest of the season' after being stretchered off in tears during win over Villarreal

source: https://www.goal.com/en/lists/barcelona-no-1-marc-andre-ter-stegen-could-miss-rest-of-season-stretchered-off-tears-villarreal/bltc25f0cb470401c4e

Ter Stegen has been making good saves, he has saved the team from many situations, I hope the other goalkeeper can also do a good job, because from the news, Ter Stegen will be out of the field for a long time. Knowing Barcelona's bad finances, they won't be able to sign another goalkeeper in the next transfer window, in my opinion. So it's a situation where we'll see how the coach and the board will deal with it.

Barcelona's 100% start to the season brought to a disappointing end last midweek after they traveled France to play against Monaco in their first UEFA Champions League game of the season and that brought many criticisms to the team. Some persons were of the opinion that despite Barcelona's previous results before the game, they do not have all it takes to win in big matches. In their response to the critics today, the Spanish La Liga league leaders delivered another scintillating performance against Villarreal to continue to their impressive performance in the league. My question now is should we consider Barcelona as a club that can only do well in the league and get beaten in European competitions?

Yea they look much prepared and competitive this Laliga season than the previous and there performance says alot about that. I think the likes of Yamine Lamal, Raphinha, Ansu Fati, Pau Víctor, has really pitch in a touch of quality on this team with their current form and which Lewandoski isn't left out on the show despite his age. However, Villarreal losing to Barcelona today wasn't anything I doubted but I sincerely didn't anticipate Barca scoring 5 goals as an away side.
Hopefully their performance will continue to be maintained like this because if not then things will change a little for them because after all the competition is still quite long and Hansi Flick's focus must be divided with the tight schedule he has, it can also have more impact on their performance later. But even so I think if the performance continues like this then we will see Barcelona will continue to be at the top for quite a long time.
With the way they are going there's every tendency that there level of performance can be maintained and even improved the more towards the end of the season but it will solely depends on what or where  Hansi Flick's  priority lies on if he wish to go on a 50/50 attention  on both the European championship and the Laliga which I think could be very detrimental to him achieving anything at the end. So it would be great he focuses much on the domestic league to win the title as a priority as that could be an easier job to accomplishment with the performance of his players. Maybe next season he can spread his ambition to Europe.

In this match I was sure that Real Madrid would win, because the list of players of Real Madrid team and the list of the opposite playing country are very different. Although they were having fun at the start of the match, Real Madrid came roaring back after an immediate goal.
Yes, how shocking it was when OG accidentally happened by Courtois which made it seem as if the Real Madrid players immediately woke up quickly and did not want to be left behind. so that 4 minutes after the OG, Carvajal immediately opened the equalizer. And finally, Real Madrid became more serious until the match ended.

Today was a big win for the great Barcelona -- they've proven how strong they can be to override any team in Spanish league. I love how they spoke and understood the same language on the pitch, with remarkable goals. Lewan still plays like he's in his prime as well.
Since Flick became Barcelona coach, Lewy's ability has improved even more, and he has also contributed a lot to the club. Even Lewandowski is in several top positions in La Liga.

I'm not sure Real Madrid has show any sign of weakness this season. The only unfortune that happened to them was that they lost their players to injuries which affected them and Mbape slow bonding with rest of the squad but I think they are almost back into the action and gladly the team hasn't lost any match yet but we're affected by the draw because Barcelona is now ahead with 4 good points already but it's not too late to go higher.
Are you trying to tell me that Real Madrid didn’t have squad depth that can help the team if their key players get injured?
And what do you mean by slow bonding of a player that has already make name and have players several preseason games and has recorded his first goal during preseason match to still suffer slow bonding with other players where his mates are scoring in their debut games.
Let me say yes to that, but I want you to believe that Madrid squad is not also perfect and will need more players to avoid using injuries as excuse to their poor performance as te case may be.

No matter how you guys think that Barcelona looks perfect in this season, they will lose match and it wouldn't be one or two but they will have a nice time this season. Wasn't Girona doing well than this last season but at the end of the day, they couldn't make it. Barcelona isn't far from that faith too. When you defend so much, there will be a time when you will be tired and I'm expecting that time soon either before the first leg of El classico or during the second leg.
Yes, Barcelona will lose match same as Madrid too; you guys are also not perfect because I hope you know that Madrid’s defense is not as strong as you may think, and if any defender gets injured, it will be another challenge for Madrid because they will suffer some defeat before the defender comes back to form.
Nevertheless, I will be expecting a tough title challenge this season because I know that Madrid will not sit down and look Barcelona going, they will look for means to catch up with them.

I like the fact that Barcelona has taken the league seriously this season. I have seen the spirit and improvement within the players. They are still my favorite club in the Spanish league. I want them t fight for the title and their focus should be more on winning the La Liga instead of the Champions League. My reason is that we have seen how competitive UCL is having a tough time in the UCL. If they fail to win other games, then they will not be able to qualify. Watching their game today i was impressed and i expect more from them in their upcoming games.
Winning the title this season may be something Barcelona may be aiming at because seeing what they have been doing since this season, it's an obvious mentality of one who wants the league title by the end of the season and the obvious truth remains that Barcelona is making good improvements and the may be prioritizing the LA Liga over other leagues, I'm saying this because the performance over the week in the champions League is completely different from what we are having here in their domestic league, in the champions League, their performance and results was really below that which they are having in their domestic league and their opponents appear like having almost same strength so the difference in results becomes a thing to bother over and see if priority could be a factor which obviously could be. There's a tactics I'm noticing around Barcelona and that was what Girona used last season that got them a decent finish, defeat the smaller teams with big margins, and try not to loose so much to the bigger teams so as to stay afloat.

I am enjoying the way the Laliga title challenge is going right now, Real Madrid have to put extra effort to catch up with Barcelona because they dropped points as they played two draw matches in the beginning of the Laliga campaign. I am 100% in support of the young Barcelona squad, the players we all underrated in the beginning of the season just because Barcelona couldn’t add any big name player to their squad. The young players are now leading the Laliga table under the management of Henson Flick who believe in them just to make the team better.

I don’t think Madrid will find it easy to go above Barcelona this time because the team is doing well and they are winning their matches. In fact, they won all their six Laliga matches which is enough for us to praise them, and the way they are comfortably winning their games, I don’t think they will lose or drop any point so Madrid just have to be consistent and wait to see if Barcelona will lose maybe due to injuries or fatigue because they don’t have squad depth compare to Madrid.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
I think its safe to say that Barcelona is prepared to fight for the La Liga title this season. For many years now, I have not see Barcelona this determined and courageous. They are meticulous in all their matches and are not ready to miss any point. Their clean kne goal to five winning of Villareal is a confirmation of the fact that Barcelona is a team to watch this season.
I don't know why but regardless of the fact that majority of their games ends in a win win for them, I don't still see the potentials of the team against anothet team in a different competition/ league...
Just to backup my point, call y'all recall what happened in their last match against Monaco? Madrid wouldn't lose a match like that with a red card.

Today was a big win for the great Barcelona -- they've proven how strong they can be to override any team in Spanish league. I love how they spoke and understood the same language on the pitch, with remarkable goals. Lewan still plays like he's in his prime as well.

Barcelona are really ready for this season, and from all indications they will do better, but we don’t know how the midseason will be for them yet because they still have a lot of games to play ahead. But still knowing well that they were able to achieve a total of 22 goals in just 6 games is one of the facts that will dispute that they are not for joke in this season, and it clearly shows that they will try their possible bet to see if they can achieve the trophy even though they know it will be somehow hard for them to do that because Real Madrid is still in the game, and we’ll all know that Real Madrid will not allow that to happen.

Talking about Lamine Yamal, he is really doing a good job at that point, and if he puts in more effort, then you will definitely be well recognised in this season, and that will make him a star in La Liga.

With the freedom to overhaul the club at the moment despite only a few players being brought in, Hansi Flick is getting quite a bit of attention compared to Xavi last season who just had to try to conquer the season despite the makeshift players. But for the early season performance I think it's still not much different from last season although I agree it's a bit better now especially for the goals that Barcelona always score in every game they play because for now it seems like they are one of the most productive clubs in major domestic competitions in Europe.

Hopefully their performance will continue to be maintained like this because if not then things will change a little for them because after all the competition is still quite long and Hansi Flick's focus must be divided with the tight schedule he has, it can also have more impact on their performance later. The situation is normal for now when we talk about the current standings where 2 clubs that have always been rivals are in a close position although there is still a gap for them until now.
Madrid have managed to improve their form and it's a good thing that the wins they've had are now a situation where the rivalry has become more interesting.

Although Barcelona are still unbeaten in Week 6, it will still be interesting to see if Madrid can keep them in second place as Madrid's results could definitely affect Barcelona if they don't settle down in the end. Currently Flick is still without a gap in domestic competition even though in the first Champions League match they had problems but it seems like Flick is mature enough to respond to this because they don't even look panicked at all for the continuation of La Liga even they can win with a fairly landslide score.

On the other hand, Barcelona's failure in the UCL was purely the goalkeeper's fault which made Barca have to play with 10 men in the first half, and now they are paying for that mistake with a landslide score of 4-1 over Villarreal which is currently taking place in the La Liga competition. Lewandowski really became a goal machine in this match.
This was a difficult match for Villarreal, of course it was very difficult to stem Barcelona's excellent performance in building attacks. Villarreal scored several goals throughout the match, but they were unlucky because Barcelona's offside trap managed to thwart them. Barcelona won this match with a final score of 1-5, it's really hard to believe that Barcelona has been so productive this season.

Barcelona have won 6 of 6 La Liga matches so far, they are the most productive team with 22 goals recorded in 6 matches. I didn't believe this, but it's the reality I have to admit now. Lamine Yamal has really troubled his opponent's defense this season, even in this match he was still able to record assists for his teammates. The performance of this young Barcelona star has really improved, he is good and has great potential to become a big star in La Liga in a few seasons.

It will be too quick of us to talk about them winning the league title this season as the season is still looking young with many decisive games ahead to play. Maybe till when they meet with teams like ATM, Real Madrid, Atletico Bilbao and the rising team Girona, and whatever the outcomes turns out to be in these meetings If it results in their favour then we can say Barcelona will definitely win this season Laliga title but for now let keep fingers crossed.

The gap between the top 4 teams in La Liga is starting to show. Barcelona are leading the table with a 4-point gap from Real Madrid - 5 and 6 points from Bilbao and Atletico Madrid. Barcelona have 22 goals in 6 games in a row - they are the most prolific team so far in the top 5 European leagues.

Unfortunately Monaco were able to capitalize when Garcia was sent off for a red card, we don't need to imagine things that didn't happen to be the way they should have been, Barcelona lost that match.
Lewandowski is indeed a goal scorer and a favorite, for the time being he is the player with the most goals with 6 goals, then followed by Raphinha with 5 goals, but it looks like Mbappe will catch up and he has now only got 4 goals, and it is still possible to catch up, but if you look at the whole match and goals produced, Barcelona has the most goals of all teams.

Beating Villareal by 5-1 seemed like a form of frustration because they previously lost to Monaco in the Champion league, with this their sadness was a little relieved. Grin

Because of how good Lamine Yamal is, that's why C. Ronaldo said this and I quote
Quote
I see a lot of talent in Lamine Yamal. I hope he does not have any problems in the future. He needs a bit of luck because he is still very young, but I think he will be one of the best in this generation, for sure

For C. Ronaldo to say this about Lamine Yamal, that means the young boy is a fantastic player for a world class player like Ronaldo to recognize his potential in the field of play for the Barcelona team. Well, Barcelona will be very proud of him, to have him in their team at this early stage of his career. However, we are yet to see the wonders he will offer in Barcelona team. I just hope he stay out of injuries that will affect his career.

Barcelona's loss to AS Monaco was one that no one saw coming, proving that anything is possible on the field. Barcelona meeting Young Boys may have been expected to be a very high-scoring game for Barcelona- they had been in great form in the domestic league and had just recently crushed Villarreal 5-1. But then again, as has been proven, everything can change on the field.

Young Boys are to be taken seriously, especially after winning 4-1 against FC Winterthur in the Swiss Super League. They will come with high confidence, and if Barcelona take them too lightly, maybe a surprise could happen. But that is how these things go because, in football, nothing can be taken for granted. Nothing is ever certain until it happens on the pitch, no matter how much bigger Barcelona might seem than their opponents at first glance.

.............

Real Madrid played really well, I can't say that I like their style of play this season. But they were very good in yesterday's match. They used more than 30 shots, played a very dominant game and managed to win the match 4-1.
On the other hand, Barcelona managed to beat their opponent by 5 goals. We are still watching one of the teams that has had one of its best seasons so far, Real Madrid will have a hard time Smiley

Real Madrid continues to dominate, but the pressure is piling up, with Barcelona winning most of their games. This season is interesting for the Spanish duopoly because both teams are very competitive with each other.
