Villarreal vs Barcelona

Villarreal (confirmed lineup): Diego Conde, Kiko, Eric Bailly, Logan Costa, Sergi Cardona, Yeremi Pino, Santi Comesana, Daniel Parejo, Alejandro Baena, Ayoze Perez, Nicolas Pepe.

Barcelona (confirmed lineup): Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Jules Kounde, Sergi Dominguez, Inigo Martinez, Gerard Martin, Pablo Torre, Eric Garcia, Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski.

Yesterday Real Madrid host Espanyol in their own home and end the match with 4-1 which is not surprising at all because they are much confident when playing home matches, Barcelona are going to start in a few minutes against Villarreal at El Madrigal which is Villarreal home and currently Barcelona are leading Madrid with a point which is still dangerous for them to joke with any game, I still have confident in Barcelona despite they are playing away because of the strength and also consistency in winning, let see if the four point gap will still continue after this match.

Doesn't make sense? Okay let's cut it to 3-1 and still win, right? Regardless of the foul or not, Espanyol defenders should have been more careful when marking their opponents near the penalty box, because the long whistle can make it all difficult to accept. They were under pressure and didn't realize that even the slightest mistake could be fatal if not controlled. Espanyol lost and they deserved it, Madrid still won without the need for an additional goal from a penalty. Every match there is always a controversial policy even though there is VAR, you must have seen that often and I think Espanyol have accepted their defeat.
Only some users consider the referee's decision when giving a penalty in each Real Madrid match recently to be controversial, while others consider it normal. Real Madrid have received 6 penalties in their last 4 matches in La Liga, starting when they were forced to draw against Las Palmas 1-1.  They won their matches against Real Betis and Real Sociedad with two penalties each, while the other was against Espanyol. Maybe in future matches some gamblers will consider the odds on penalty options, they could win because of it.

So so far we can conclude that Real Madrid has scored 6 goals from penalties out of a total of 13 goals they have scored in the last 6 matches. This is probably the highest number of penalties received by a team in 4 consecutive matches since this season started, of course I don't know which other team has received more than Real Madrid in the last 4 matches.

It is recorded that Madrid has received 5 penalties from 6 matches since the season began.
You're wrong, try counting Real Madrid's last 4 matches in La Liga. How many penalties have they received?
1 penalty in the match against Las Palmas.
2 penalties against Real Sociedad.
2 penalties against Real Betis.
1 penalty against Espanyol.

Maybe the organizers (La Liga) should just give the trophy to Real Madrid so they don't waste too much energy in an unfair competition. That's the opinion of rival fans who protested about the advantages always given to Real Madrid, including the controversial penalty goal when hosting Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabeu.
It should be noted, before Endrick fell in the penalty box, Real Madrid were already leading 3-1 and the referee's decision to award a penalty was near the end of the match, so I don't think the incident made Espanyol players stressed or had an impact on their mentality, even though Mbappe failed to execute the penalty perfectly, it would not have changed the result of the match. The fans are also not too happy with the number of penalties that Real Madrid received, they have protested because Madrid received more penalties in the first 6 matches of La Liga. It is recorded that Madrid has received 5 penalties from 6 matches since the season began.

Real Madrid definitely got a great win again, they are on a roll and doing very well, I think whatever was missing from the team at the start of the season, they are getting better. Jude is back as well, which is awesome for them and I am sure that they are going to end up with a great contribution from him as well. They are playing some young kids like Guler and Endrick as well at times and getting some decent contributions from them too, so I am assuming that we are going to see this team changing on the long run, and will be a great situation for Real Madrid.

Barcelona on the other hand failed to win against Monaco, if they end up doing the same thing at La Liga, they may actually lose their advantage over Real Madrid and put themselves at risk.

This is going to be probably one of Hansi Flick's test as Barcelona seek to tackle Villarreal at the El Madrigal today. So far this season Barcelona have done exceptionally brilliant against all their opponents in the la Liga winning all their games both home and away and even beating bitter rivals Girona by 4 goal to 1 last Sunday when they both met at Girona, though  they couldn't get a win at Monaco were they had one of their player sent off in the first half thereby losing the game by 2 goals to 1, but against Villarreal today they would be looking forward to getting back to winning ways, I think it's going to be a very tedious match for Barcelona because Villarreal always makes it difficult for Barcelona especially when they play at home and today wouldn't be an exception and they may share the point if they can stop Barcelona's fiery attacking line up.

Barcelona has played well in La Liga matches. Barcelona had easy wins against teams like Athletic Club and Girona. Barcelona won by a huge margin of 7-0 against Valladolid. However, Barcelona lost the first match of the Champions League. The match was very important for Barcelona. Even then, Barcelona could not win the match. However, Barcelona was unlucky in this match. So they were defeated in this match. The result might have been in Barcelona's favor if Garcia had not received the red card.

It will be difficult for Hansi Flick to do well against Villarreal. First, Barcelona players lost confidence after the defeat against Monaco. So Hansi Flick has to make the players confident again. Otherwise, it will not be possible for Barcelona to win against a team like Villarreal. Hansi Flick has to prove his mettle now.

Espanyol must be regretful for scoring that goal first.  Tongue  That was the thing to fire up Real Madrid players to win by a big score like 4-1. By the way I think the last penalty call was just ridiculous. The defender started to pull Endrick from the shirt way before and even Endrick started to fall outside of the penalty area. What is this nonsense decision?  Huh

Yeah maybe Real Madrid were still going to be the winner most probably. But I just want to underline the importance of referee decisions. Even in VAR's existence this kind of huge mistakes are still made, such a disgrace...

I think that was not the point, that point was that Real Madrid wasn't delivering the same way every Real Madrid was expecting them to deliver. They have signed the seemingly best striker in the world. But Mbappe can't score, he can't. Now people start wondering why Ronaldo scored all the time and he doesn't. He took almost a billon dollars from PSG management, isn't it his duty to pay back?

When a player leaves his old club and joins a new club, naturally there is some weakness in his performance, maybe not above Mbappe.

Mbappe has been at PSG for a long time and when he left PSG to join Real Madrid, naturally, his current manager's tactics and good understanding with his teammates will be a little less, so we will see some weakness in his performance. But there is no doubt that this player will do well for Real Madrid. You mentioned here that Mbappe scored more goals in La Liga than his penalty kicks, I would say penalty kicks are a skill and not all players can do that.
Trust Real Madrid management as well as Mbappe they will not let you down at all.
I understand what you're trying to say but that statement shouldn't be generalised and you should've rather use to word (some) players, take for example, Cristiano Ronaldo, when he left Manchester United to Real Madrid, he didn't find it tough and blended immediately, even Jude Bellingham who just concluded his debut season was amazing upon arrival, it's understandable if Mbappe is not finding it easy, fans might complain and try to kill his confidence but it shouldn't get to him cause players like Hazard didn't find it easy too but the good thing about Mbappe is that he's not as injury prone compared to Hazard who didn't last at Madrid due to injury. Mbappe is a brilliant player and I'm very sure we'll see the best of him soon when he's finally got to understand the new teams tactics and blend well with his teammates. I wonder why some people disregard penalty kicks as if it's not part of football, if it's very easy as some people think then why do some world class players still miss it. It takes good skills to outsmart a goal keeper one on one a find the back of the net, the slightest distraction from the keeper or crowd could make a player miss it.

People think that scoring a penalty goal is not really taken into account even though it takes a strong mentality for players and I think there are not many players who are able to execute penalties because not scoring a goal can have an effect. Mbappe's performance is slowly improving in the squad and I think he will be one of the next top scorers in the team. There is a slight weakness because many Real Madrid players are injured so their game is not very good.

When facing Mallorca, Real Madrid's performance was quite good and they found their usual rhythm. Although Mbappe only managed to score a goal through a penalty, his performance looked so consistent and over time he will find his best form.
But it's different with Mbappe who was initially believed to have a big impact on Real Madrid's front line but in fact the last 3 goals he scored in La Liga were only from the penalty spot, so it's only natural that many are disappointed and criticize Mbappe now.

Maybe because Mbappe still needs time to adapt can be used as an excuse now and indeed personally I think people should understand that and not be too excessive in measuring Mbappe's contribution now.
And for Real Madrid's performance we can see that they are getting better and slowly showing their best performance after having difficulties at the beginning of the season.

Last season we saw a terrible performance from Sevilla. The 14th team in the table was Sevilla. And out of 38 matches, this team won only 10 matches. We all thought Sevilla would strengthen their squad this season, and try to improve their performance. But we don't see any improvement in Sevilla this season either. As usual, Sevilla are performing very badly this season.

Sevilla only managed to win the last match against Getafe out of 5 matches. Sevilla were very lucky to win this match. Sevilla's overall performance against Getafe was also poor.

Sevilla are also the most likely to lose against Alaves. This is Alaves' home match. Moreover, we do not see a good performance from Sevilla's players in this match. In the first half, Sevilla's players could not make any strong attacks.
Alavés football team played very well in this match and we saw great performance from that side and they won the match easily by 2-1 ratio. Vicente did from the start of match and did first goal for team at 17 minutes of the match . After his goal Martin did second goal and he made a match for his team and after his goal, match bent to their sides.Alavés team shots were more in number and their shots were also on target. The possession percentage of Sevilla team was more than Alavés team. Lukebakio  did third goal of the match and he saved his team respect but his team could not win this match . They have to improve their performance if they want to win next matches.

The match against Monaco has passed, currently Barcelona's players are focused on the away match at the Estadio de la Ceramica, Villareal's home base. It could be said that in this match Hansi Flick will be tested because he cannot play several of his core players who are having problems with injuries and Torres is still serving a ban due to a red card. Hansi Flick automatically has to rotate his players, especially the midfielders and front lines. There is no choice but Eric Garcia will likely be played again as a pivot duet with Cosado. I hope these two players can work together solidly. Well, even so, I am optimistic that Barca will continue their positive streak in La Liga. Although Marcelino's team is unbeaten in five matches, it is not easy to defeat Barcelona even though they are playing at home. As far as I know, this Villareal coach has a 4-4-2 system. Simply put, they play it safe. In this match, the roles of Raphinha, Pedri and Yamal will be very prominent in an effort to break down the home team's defense. Anyway, I am sure Barca will get full points in this match. Well, Barcelona's odds are quite ideal if involved in betting.

The last penalty is really a disgrace and why the referee awarded it is unclear, because Real would have won this match anyway, but there
The penalty was controversial because it seemed like Endrick fell with his leg outside the box. However, a closer look at the foul shows that Espanyol defender Carlos Romero kept holding the Brazilian striker inside the penalty box until he fell. We will have to blame Romero more for being insensitive. A good defender would have brought the striker down outside the box or let him go immediately after he got closer to the penalty area—generally referees like favouring big clubs and respect their players more than small clubs. There are reports that Jude Bellingham called the referee a piece of shit when he was booked. And the official refused to escalate the matter which would have led to a red card.

And it seems that's exactly what just happened in today's game too, as the match just ended few minutes ago in favour of Real Madrid having scored 4 goals to 1 against Espanyol just as predicted above, because having Mbappe playing forward in today's game, it was already obvious a big win for Real Madrid, despite haven got yellow card, of which I'm not surprised seeing the game end with such goal margin as always from Carvajal, Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior and Mbappe.

Mbappe didn't do much in this game as his goal came from a penalty and not even an open play game but it's still a goal. I won't say he had a bad game but I expected better from him. The good thing is that Real Madrid won and Vinicius jnr got an open play goal. The first half was a goal less draw but when the second half begun we started to see all the goals pouring in and both teams scored a total of five goals in the second half. All the goals came from Real Madrid players as the Espanyol goal was an own goal from Courtois. Real Madrid went down  one goal but responded with scoring four and this goes to show that Real Madrid was the better team in the game.
Don't just look at Mbappe's goal but overall Mbappe's game is quite helpful to the team with the movement he makes in the front line and it is clear that Mbappe and Vini have started to have a stronger chemistry in the front line and therefore helped Real Madrid win this match.

Ancelotti had rotated players but in the second half Vini was brought in and Real Madrid's game changed drastically so that they managed to win the match.

I see Mbappe still needs time to adapt to the Real Madrid team and slowly there is a positive progress that is seen that Mbappe can increasingly contribute to the team despite the lack of goal productivity from Mbappe.

Real Madrid made amazing comeback against Espanyol. Vinicius Jr. was hero helping his team turn game around. Even starting from bench he made big impact. He set up goal for Rodrygo Goes and then scored himself.
Vinicius speed helped Real Madrid catch up quickly. Coach Carlo Ancelotti smart substitutions worked well keeping the team strong and effective.
Playing at home against a very weak opponent is not something that is so amazing for a team like Real Madrid because Espanyol is not a very competitive team and in terms of strength is very different from Real Madrid. The one goal that Espanyol got was an own goal so from that we can actually see clearly and draw a very reasonable conclusion that Espanyol is indeed not a tough opponent for a team as big as Real Madrid. In addition, playing in front of their own supporters and winning by that much score is a very natural thing besides the opposing team itself is not difficult enough.

I am eagerly waiting to watch today's Barcelona vs Villarreal match. Because this match will be very competitive. Barcelona vs Villarreal matches are always competitive. Even in the last 5 matches between these two teams, Barcelona have won three and Villarreal have won two. Villarreal won the last match at home to Barcelona 5-3.

Barcelona are in great form in La Liga. Barcelona won all the matches. We have seen good performances from Barcelona players in every match. However, Barcelona could not play well against Monaco in the last match. Barcelona lost in this important match of the Champions League. It cannot be said with certainty whether the defeat in the Champions League match will affect today's match. However, two key players in Barcelona's squad, Olmo and De Jong, will miss the match due to injuries. Olmo is a very important player in the Barcelona squad at the moment.
Villarreal this season looks very difficult to beat, they have consistently won 3 out of 5 matches that have been played. Hansi Flick will not easily emerge as the winner if there is a fatal error in his back line. Barcelona certainly does not want this match to be wasted, 3 points are very important to continue to maintain the distance from their rivals who managed to bring 3 points over Espanyol, Los Blancos victory is considered an achievement in a positive direction and as a rival in La Liga, it certainly provokes Barcelona to continue to be consistent. In my opinion Villarreal can still provide tough resistance, the advantage of playing at home is an important point to control the course of the match.

The best defense is to attack continuously. But indeed when Madrid failed and got a counterattack they seemed to have difficulties. Indeed, so far Courtois has been able to perform well. In addition, Madrid has not had a strong opponent, so, they have not conceded much.
Looking at the course of the match, it seems that Endrick did perform well. Coming in as Rodrygo's handler, he became the main actor in Madrid's fourth goal from the penalty. Endrick's move has been incredible, in proving to Ancelotti he deserves to be the first choice.
There was almost no doubt that Real would be able to equalize the score, they needed only a few minutes for this and towards the end of the match there were several more goals, Mbappe scores again from the penalty spot, it looks like this position can be secured for him. So Real came closer to Barcelona to a distance of only one point, and Barcelona will play Villarreal today, who have not lost yet, and this match can be a good test for Barcelona's strength. It seems to me that it is important to beat such a strong opponent after a bad match in the Champions League.

The trio of Mbappe-Vinicius-Bellingham could not be stopped, although Espanyol tried, but when the score was 3:1 everything was finally clear and that's why the last goal with a penalty, which 99% was not, it is clearly unnecessary.
In general, it was already the 6th (!) penalty for Real this season and although the team plays attacking soccer, attacking a lot, but still I think 6 penalties in 4 games is a bit much.

Madrid are good at come backs especially when they score early in the game they easily turn things around. I am not surprised as well because they have done this countless times in several occasions. They are very good at pressing when they need goals and when Mbappe, Vinicius and Rodrygo finally blends they will be more dangerous and will score a lot of goals. They played fairly yesterday and Assisted each other so maybe that will be the start of a deadly trio we have all been waiting for.
A club tradition is important for their player confidence. In sports, confidence is very important because if you have strong belief in your ability, like you can equalize the match and make a come back, you can play better, don't give up and history of your impressive comebacks also can cause fear in your opponents. It is another factor that can help you creating pressure on field and in minds against your opponent.

Real Madrid are strong, a most successful club in Spain and in Europe with records of total titles they have won in La Liga and Champions League. In Champions League, many times we saw Real Madrid came back strongly and three seasons ago, they made it against Chelsea, PSG, Manchester City to win Champions League title. These performances are so fearful for any opponent of Real Madrid.

Yes, but at first they were losing at all and could only take the lead towards the end of the match. To be honest I'm not surprised, I often see Madrid win the end, but they do it brilliantly. They realise their opponent's weakness and start to press there and almost always manage to score thanks to that. This match was no exception

There is no need to worry about such things, because as long as Mabppe scores a goal regardless of whether it is a penalty or not, a goal is still a goal and you need to know that being a penalty taker also requires a sharp mentality in determining the direction of the kick. That is why Mbappe process for Madrid will continue to improve. He is a suitable choice for the long term because his first season scoring 4 goals in my opinion is a good start.
Goals builds confidence and for now it doesn’t matter if Mbappe scores from penalties or not all that matters if for his confidence to grow so it doesn’t affect his performance. His performance has always been good but things are not going too well for him yet and he probably needs a little time to adapt. No doubt he will make history at the club and score a lot of goals for them.
