That depends on how much nations will lock everything and people will be diligent but yes the optimistic is July.

Liga as Serie A is already closed, they only need to decide who is the winner, no chance they will restart.
I still believe that they will resume season, but no idea when. Probably they will have to play without spectators.
Deciding who is winner at current stage wouldn't be fair. I support Barca, but if they will be announced as winners, I think such trophy would be worthless.
If there is no way to resume season, they should cancel it without winner. European spots should be given based on current table and probably there shouldn't be relegation.

The situation just keeps getting worse and worse. Given the current state at which the virus is spreading without showing any chance of slowing down in most Nations. I think it will be so many months before things return to normal which is something sad even to the footballing world. What the football governing boards will have to decide will be a very hard task/decision for them.

Spain reported 500+ deaths from COVID-15 during the last 24 hours.
Considering the fact that this is just the start, i am thinking that the La Liga is going to be canceled. We are not going to see any positive news from that till May.

I am not able to get the article but the La Liga President said that even if the situation got awful... They wouldn't just give Barcelona the trophy so it not something assured that Barca will be Champions this season.
If the season has to be canceled then i am sure no team currently leading the standings will get the title including Barcelona.

Looking at the current situation, I feel there is little chance that this season can continue. Pandemics look terrible and anyone must always be careful so we can avoid Covid-19. The world government continues to strive to minimize the number of Covid-19 infections and to cancel sporting events can also be a widespread prevention effort in the near future.

The difference is only 2 points with Real Madrid so I don't think Barcelona will get the title if the points are very thin I think the delay will be longer after I see the more and more the infection increases.

This is happening all over the world so the soccer leaders will reconsider the competition to start, if things have started to improve then in a match it must be completely sterile in its state.

Anyone happy with the results of the last virtual La Liga tournament? Asensio won the La Liga FIFA tournament already, that was quite fun and there was even a charity donation to coronavirus as a result. They might as well do round 2 or 3, or even maybe try do a UEFA champs league with other guys;)

Nah, we are not there yet. Situation doesn't look good but I still believe we will finish all the leagues with ~2 months delay. EURO is rescheduled for next year so there is a bit extra time for the leagues to finish. Even if the season is over there is still a big chance that Barca would be a champion instead of the whole season scraped.

It seems the time for Sergio Ramos in Bernabeu is very shortly and he will soon be kicked out of the Real Madrid. The club has a very bad traditional recognition for their legendaries, from Raul Gonzalez, Iker Cassilas (they are all Real Madrid's home-grown legendaries). Now, Ramos is not a home-grown player like them. They bought him from Sevilla and I don't deny all great things Ramos contributed to the club but we have to see the squad without him soon.

The current target of Real Madrid, accoriding to news, is Skriniar, from Inter Milan. He is a good defender.

It's true that Real didn't show respect to their legends Raul and Cassilas, but I'm not sure that same thing will happen with Ramos. I think it's not worth to pay much attention to such news these days. When there is no sports, media simply don't have what to write about, but the have to fill their websites somehow.

Spain is one of the most affected countries, so I'm not sure about future of this season. There is some predictions that pandemy can continue much longer. And even if season will resume, I'm not sure how players will be ready to play. They've been without training for long time, it means that risk of injuries will be big.

I just saw the POLL, should'nt this be edited? Another option needs to be added, since there is a huge chance that the current season will be canceled.

I am pretty sure, this would be how the real POLL would look like.

Question:   2019/2020 La Liga Champion will be
Barcelona   - 43 (51.8%)
Real Madrid   - 33 (39.8%)
Atletico Madrid   - 2 (2.4%)
Sevilla   - 1 (1.2%)
Valencia   - 2 (2.4%)
Other   - 2 (2.4%)
Coronavirus - 999 (99,99%)

It is not that hard to stay at home for as much as the government claims.
Hmm trust me, ordinary solo people living in small houses or apartments without gardens cannot support staying at home 24h for 14 days at least, even with video games, TV, Internet...after 2-3 days you will be pissed off and start to have depressing mood  Undecided
Having family will make you support maybe a week before being depressed.
Rich people with bigger houses, gardens, pool, gym and other staff could resist if they have other individuals with them or else they will break quarantine like anyone else

Luka Jovic said he didn't understand the orders of mandatory self-isolation by the Serbian government. Yeah I guess it's very difficult to understand that you are not allowed to leave your home. One might easily mistaken that as a suggestion to go out and party as much as possible. It's a very thin line.

What an idiot.

This is actually the best way to explain his actions.

Jovic just lied in order not to be blamed as irresponsible for breaking the self isolation rule.

He just didn't expect to get caught breaking the quarantine.

Jovic previously issued a statement blaming the authorities which he considered did not provide an adequate explanation related to the rules of self-isolation.  But the player then corrected his statement after violating the isolation rules in his country which lasted 28 days, in contrast to other countries in general that apply isolation for 14 days.

It is very risky for him because his age is under the attack target of the virus. I hope he will recover well.
He died mate. He isn't going to recover.
We just hope this pandemic disappears as fast as it arrived because it's really taking a toll on the global village.

This is really sad news though I didn’t see Real Madrid matches back then, but the very fact that they won champions league twice proves that he was a great president for the club. Further the club should heavily fine Luka for breaking the quarantine rule, as social distancing is a must to stop this virus from spreading ahead.

A suitable punishment: https://metro.co.uk/2020/03/21/chelsea-luka-jovic-tottenham-transfer-real-madrid-coronavirus-12434934/

Neither did I, I am a Barca fan but I only remember Real Madrid during Perez time onwards, to me great president or not, he did his job and all people who did that deserve some tribute.

It is really sad that this virus has taken its toll on people everywhere and including in football. Which makes me a bit angry some footballers are ignoring it.

Ex Real Madrid President succumbs to Coronavirus COVID19  Cry
Lorenzo Sanz was Real president from 1995 to 2000, during which time the Madrid giants won Champions League twice
Source: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11835/11961683/lorenzo-sanz-coronavirus-claims-life-of-former-real-madrid-president

The Virus started out jokingly but right now it's bringing a lot of gloom to the football world
It is very risky for him because his age is under the attack target of the virus. I hope he will recover well.

Relates to Real Madrid, it makes me shock to know Luka Jovic broke the isolation rule in order to join his girlfriend's birthday. I hope all football players who have been under isolation period will obey all rules, in order to help them staying safe in the pandemic as well as help communities around them.

What an idiot.  If he can't help curb this thing (I mean he does have the financial capability to donate part of his bloated weekly wages) then he should just stay home.

Yeah just heard and very sad to hear after what he had achieved under his name.

I think that fine will turn out to be good as he will get enough chances at those clubs than in Real. There are chances of him leaving for Tottenham but Chelsea I don't think so. I think legal action should be taken to fine them properly. They are putting other peoples live at risk by not following the quarantine rules. People should know how quickly it spreads and how worse it would become if it infects someone who is already having health issues.

Also there should be serious action against one who gave him the permission as well.
