Currently watching Espanyol vs Bilbao and it's 1-1 so far..great result for me as I added this match to my Saturday acca (Over 1.5 goals). One down, two more to go (:

Looking forward to Valencia vs Barca. I don't care much about the result, i just want to see a good show which is always guaranteed whenever these teams face each other.  BTTS @1.65 looks good, Barcelona scored in 8 out of 10 away league games, and Valencia always scores at home. It's worth mentioning that Valencia are unbeaten at Mestalla..Valencia double chance @2.29???  Shocked

Honestly, i think It's time Simeone moved away from Atlético Madrid. His days of glory are long gone and now He has nothing new to offer there.
The Atletico Madrid board seems to think otherwise since they're trying to sign Cavani, which i'm 100% sure it's a request from Simeone...Funny 'cause I believe Atletico's main issue isn't the lack of goals but the system (Simeone's gamestyle, tactics, etc).
Espanyol vs Bilbao ended in a 1-1 draw. Barcelona has returned to the previous style of play, which is really relying on the ball position. However, but the last two games they seem difficult to score. You have a very good betting choice. We wish you a win for both of your bets.
When Pep Guardiola left the team, they seemed to abandon that playing style but now that they have returned to it, they are going to have players like Xavi and Iniesta to actually make that style work. de Jong maybe a very good passer of the ball but his skill is nowhere as good as Xavi but he is still young and there is time for him to improve.

Holy fuck! What the hell from Pique, It's just 10 minutes and Piques just gave Valencia an opportunity to take the lead! What a silly challenge.

EDIT: Ter stegen saved it, Scores remains goalless. It would have been a blow to Barca has they've dominated the entire prior to that fast break for Valencia.

It's really a disappointing result from Athletico Madrid, nobody can expect such a bullshit result from this Semione side at all, I can't imagine how could it be possible to see the knocking out of Atletico Madrid at the 32nd round.
It's football, anything can happen and I always avoid betting such cup matches. Underdogs are usually so determined as it's one of the few chances they can use to obtain some silverware. Also, most top teams tend to relax and start second team players in such matches leading to horrible results.

Leonesa (3rd division club) - Atletico Madrid 2:1 Grin. What a hell did happened? I didn't watched this game unfortunately.
And there is lot of surprises tonight - Eibar kicked out by Badajoz, Betis eliminated by Rayo Vallecano, Celta by Mirandes.
In total, 10 teams from La Liga already eliminated! Wow! Most others also had difficult games. Seems that big clubs are playing, like there still would be second leg game.

Over-confidence!
First division teams under-estimated other teams and rightly punished. I only watched single game (Ibiza vs Barcelona) and o boy, I had heart into my mouth. Setien played weirdest lineup one could think of. Only Lenglet and Roberto were into defense and rest 8 were building attack but still weren't able to register even single goal attempt in first half. That DJ boys almost beat Barcelona if Griezmann wasn't to rescue in the end. Sad for Atletico that they lost in extra time. Only Real Madrid played their full-potential squad and won the match by margin (nice to see Bale on the score-list).

Round of 16 is coming in just 4 days. I won't miss many games this time, Spain have lots of good teams even in second or third division unlike England. Also we surely gonna see Messi coming back in next match, Setien won't take same risk again else Barca fan will start chanting #SetienOut again. Cheesy

What's the symptoms of these?

Elche 1 - 1 Athletic Bilbao *
UD Ibiza 1 - 2 Barcelona
Badalona 1 - 3 Granada
Girona 0 - 3 Villarreal
Logrones 0 - 1 Valencia
Real Sociedad 2 - 0 RCD Espanyol
Tenerife 2 - 1 Real Valladolid
Unionistas de Salamanca 1 - 3 Real Madrid

Final results from the Cops Del Ray matches played yesterday. Two of the fixtures went into extra time with Granada winning it in the extra 30 and Athletic Bilbao having to play penalty shoot out; emerging 5 - 4 winners.

A double from Antoine Griezmann including a 90th minute goal spared Barcelona blushes as they came from behind to win.

I think that Barcelona made its life difficult without any reason.
They were so bad in the defense part and unable to score a goal in the first half at least when they had so many scoring opportunities.

We have to come to terms with the fact that both Barca and Real, although they are of much higher quality than others in the league, are hard to beat. Before, it was always easy for Barca and Real, but today everyone has plans to bring down the greats. And I'm no longer surprised to see Barca lose to a much weaker team, it's just football and so it should be.

Ok, we played without optimal squad with many young players, but our performance was quite shameful. C'mon, it's third division club! I don't like to critizise players, but I don't understand what C.Perez is doing in Barcelona. I can't remember any good his matches and seems that this level is way to high for him.
But seems that all other La Liga teams also had difficult games. Valladolid already eliminated by Tenerife, Athletic and Granada needed extra time and penalties to pass this round.

I haven't watched the whole game of Barca, only highlights, nevertheless it didn't look so well. The form of players, their feeling of the defensive plays, their disregard for less-known rivals. It was indeed shameful. Barcelona has been punished twice for the same attitude and twice has been a laughing stock of the whole football Europe. Yesterday's game indicates that this players never learn. NEVER.
I would love to see the how Barcelona play when they know that they can't rely on the likes of Messi and Suarez anymore when they are all finally retired from the game because they were pathetic and was shocked that they managed to even win the game at all. They have become overly reliant on Messi for far too long.

Although Barcelona won in the cup match in a substitute match, it was still a challenging match for them. Now, in the same way, Real Madrid took the lead in the cup match 2-1 and in this minute, I am most curious about the performance of Brahim diaz.

Ibiza is ahead of score with 1-0 on 36 minutes played.
Barcelona is pressing a lot already and i think that they are going to score at least 2 goals. Still, it is a great achievement for Ibiza that they score a goal against them.

Barcelona will be hard to get more than 2 points against Valencia (1/25/20).  even though Valencia lost 4-1 to Mallorca but I'm sure Valencia will improve their game..  I predicted a final score of 2-1 or 1-0 with a Barcelona victory.
I was confused about the 2 points that were mentioned, it turns out it was a goal huh. Valencia is obviously a different opponent for Barcelona. They will definitely play more carefully. Moreover, the pattern of Barca's game has returned to the way it used to be by relying on ball possession. Valencia must be vigilant because a game system like this can produce lots of goals if the opponent does not have a good defense

Omicron is another FUD
snip..
You will be surprised my friend. Don't rule out Valencia or look at the match as a walk through for Barca just yet. The 4-1 Loss to Mallorca was probably a bad day in office for Valencia. They can still put up a strong opposition against Barca in the upcoming match

And just like that, we have more games in Spain, but this time in the Copa del Rey. Who doesn't like midweek games  Grin

Given how the format changed this season (single-match), does anyone expect an upset? We're used to seeing the big teams getting KO'd in England in the league cup, maybe we'll see something like that in this "brand new" Copa del Rey? Fixtures for the top teams:

Sevilla vs Levante
Ibiza vs Barcelona
Salamanca vs Real Madrid
Lugroñes vs Valencia
Cultural Leonesa vs Atletico Madrid
I wouldn't expect many upsets. Big teams will play against amateur 3rd and 4th division teams, so there shouldn't be any problems. Unless they will play with completely reserve squads from youth teams.
Only one La Liga team is eliminated so far - Alaves lost to 4th division Jaen. And Levante won sgainst thrm just after penalties.
There is few games which might be interesting in this round, Levante - Sevilla probably will be best. Sociedad - Espanyol and Zaragoza - Mallorca might be interesting too.

I do not think valencia is a tough match for barcelona, A Barcelona loss would only me the new coach is inadequate.
Valencia lost this weekend at 4 goals to 1, perhaps valencia is having a run of bad games.

I see barcelona winning easily with atleast 3 goals
