Sign language is the language of the whole world. In extreme cases, you can draw and everything will become clear. This language does not have to be done, everything should be as it is.

As a language teacher, humanity do not need to have a common language around the world . Because having different languages on earth creates cultural diversity and gives people a change to find out about other cultures. For that reason, there is no need to create new common language .

I think English is the common language in the world. Many can understand english and can comprehend a little to some. Amazingly, mandarin is the language for the business world.

We already have a common language, and it is known as English. You and me are communicating to each other using that language. But that doesn't mean that you should force someone to give up his mother tongue. It happens a lot here in India, where people are forced to stop speaking particular languages, due to political pressure.
No, we do have English, no matter who you are, you can speak English.
I think we already had a common language in the world. It's english, i'm not a british or american but i usually use english language in my coversation .
yes, we need common language so that we can understand better, communication is more clearer, transaction can be made easy, problem and conflict can be resolve in a more sensible and understandable way.. although english language now can be consider but not all can speak it... language is a bridge to a better world.
We need to but having said that it doesn't mean we have to be monolingual.
IMHO in near future everyone will be at least bilingual with Global language (read - English) being accompanied by knowledge of at least one Regional language.
So Global language goes hand in hand with Regional language and latter will never fully loose usability and practicality in certain specific applications.

i think there is a common language that is being used all around the world now , and that language is the english language. Its important that we have a common language to used , for easy communication in other countries. And for us to simply understands each other. English language is the number one subject in all school as i know for this day. Because most countries today uses english whenever they are all around the world.

I am very sure we do. Because if not, we would have not relationship with our neighboring countries. We could not connect with the world and progress in every aspect will be difficult. I thought like that but i am sure there will be more negative effects if there is no universal language.
Someday in the future, maybe it will happen. How some ancient languages became extinct. But I like the current variety. And personally I was sorry when the various national coins of Europe were replaced by faceless euros.

I don't think so ...of course it's not a bad thing but it's just not that easy,
besides we already have english as a unifier.

yes, we need a language that can be understood by the public at large, otherwise there will be many misunderstandings among fellow human beings and we can not freely exchange ideas. there can be no progress of human civilization if man can not exchange ideas or dreams with his neighbor.
English is very much the common language of the world now but in the future this may change. As to whether we should all have a language which we speak at the same time i think this would be impossible because naturally we disagree with each other as humans and therefore it wouldnt work

The answer is obvious. We cannot communicate each other particularly here if no one knows how to speak particular language. That is why english is the universal language so that every nation can understand each other. I came from Asia and some came from Europe and other continents and part of the world. So having a common language is a must.

Different languages make it possible to express cultural characteristics
If we can achieve a global village then a common language is required . English language is on course to achieve that.
