@babo I’m not sure if Mazarri can do anything special with Napoli now because this season they’re completely broken and therefore i doubt that they can now recover from this mess that they have created for themselves. Furthermore they should target someone like Zidane because he would command respect and be able to unite the board and the squad and get immediate results but getting him to come won’t be easy.

Of course, at this point in the season he can't do much
but he can avoid doing further damage, the problem was that Garcia was continuing to do damage, this is the problem that led management to fire him
otherwise they would have kept him for the season

Mazzarri's contract is only until the end of the season for now. He is more like a caretaker manager for Napoli now. But if he shows a better performance then he can surely get a contract extension by another year.  Smiley

I don't know if Napoli can find a manager like Spalletti in the future. Because that season with him was something very special.
Yes, this was done as the best effort for the time being. Because they also carried out the process of dismissing Garcia in a short and sudden time, and in the middle of a season like this. So at least they filled this void by choosing Mazzarri, who incidentally is not too foreign to them and already has experience here. Personally, I'm not sure whether Napoli's decision this time is really appropriate or just hasty because of the many demands from various parties. However, hopefully Mazzari can make Napoli return to its good form in Serie A and also the UCL later. If Mazzarri can do it well, automatically His career at Napoli will also get longer.

yes in the end Walter Mazzarri just has to bring Napoli to the end of the season with as little damage as possible, while they go and look for another coach, perhaps a decent one and not as bad as Rudi Garcia
in any case, the damage has already been done by now

In my opinion, Napoli's decision to fire Rudi Garcia was so quick and sudden as a result of Napoli facing defeat against Empoli. Indeed, Napoli felt humiliated by this because they could not face a club that was said to be very weak, indeed no one knows because sometimes in football there are always surprises. Weak clubs can give surprises when facing strong clubs like Empoli did.
I personally don't really blame Rudi Garcia for not being able to make Napoli perform better like Spalletti did last season but the coach must have his own tactics.
maybe Rudi Garcia just wasn't right when creating the formation against Empoli so Napoli couldn't protect Napoli's defense and strikers. unable to score a goal against the opponent's goal.

But yes, I respect Napoli's decision. I hope this decision can make Napoli feel better and Mazzari can prove to Napoli that he is a suitable coach for Napoli at this time.

I also am not sure about whether it was the right thing to do for Napoli to be honest.  Sad  Because first of all how many matches have there been so far? Not too many with him, right? The board didn't even want to give him more time. Besides I don't think that there has been a bad look in the Serie A or Champions League as well.

I mean yeah maybe Napoli aren't having a similar season to the previous one now maybe but that season was rare to be seen for Napoli. If the board really expected the same effort then their expectations are just too high.
You don't have to expect things to remain the same,if they did so well last season, that does not mean they will be exactly like that again this season, maybe perhaps you are used to putting them in your gambling slip, and you are just expecting them to deliver same way they were doing last season.Napoli has changed, they no longer have that winning mentality they had last season, and the effort and strength of the players who were putting in their all to ensure they win the league has dropped. All they need now is and elite mentality, which is to always remain in the competition level, competing with big teams.
If they should motivate themselves, and work more to achieve Something this season, they can still win something.

Indeed, there was no second chance for Rudi Garcia because he was fired and so quickly even though it was a fairly hasty decision made by Napoli management. But Mazzarri is of course quite an influential coach if you look at his performance when coaching Serie A teams and he has also been Napoli coach before. I don't think this is a blunder that could result in them failing to compete this season but this is the start of their revival if Mazzarri is able to bring change to Napoli. He must be able to restore the sharpness of Osimhen and also Kvaratskhelia in Napoli front line because these two players are quite influential players in the Napoli team.

They still have Napoli chance of winning the title this season, especially because this season there are still many matches left that they can try to improve their progress. In the champions league they have a chance to qualify for the round of 16 because napoli is 4 points ahead of braga and they only need to aim for 1 more win to strengthen their ranking. I am sure that in the hands of Mazzarri, Napoli will be strong again in Serie A and Atalanta will be the match that will determine Napoli performance under Mazzarri.

Back in the day Walter Mazzarri weren't very different than Rudi Garcia with Napoli. Their ratings of management are pretty much the same when we compare them. Yeah it is true that Mazzarri won the Italian cup with Napoli in the 2011/12 season. But maybe Rudi Garcia was also going to achieve such success if they didn't part ways with him. We never know.

Oh do you know how many times this has happened? I remember the period at Inter when Moratti was there as president.
He changed coaches as soon as the wind changed and what did he get? spending a lot of money on a team that seemed very strong on paper and never won.

Presidents must not coach if they are not coaches.

It is true! Moratti changed coaches at a frightening pace, I think the longest-serving were Mancini and Mourinho. Unfortunately he was obsessed with doing better than his father Angelo Moratti until he succeeded. Now De Laurentis must not fall into this trap, the team has been coached by 3 different coaches in 6 months and I don't think this is a good practice to follow because each coach has different schemes and it is not easy to get used to a new scheme in such a short time time

Napoli had a good coach, due to the itching of its president who thinks he is an assistant coach, what happens happens
real professionals get bored of being nannies and leave, as happened
real story bro'

I hope that the president of Napoli has understood his mistake, I honestly think not

I honestly don't believe that Walter Mazzarri can solve Napoli's problems in the short term, every time a team changes coach it is heavily affected, sometimes positively, sometimes negatively, Napoli have changed 2 coaches in 6 months and this will certainly influence performances on the pitch but we have to give time and trust to Mazzarri because he is not in a good context, it is not easy to inherit a team that is champion of Italy but has been destroyed in its soul by the previous coach.

No one knows if Walter Mazzarri is able to solve the problems, but he was certain that with Rudi Garcia they would never be solved, on the contrary it would get worse and worse.

When you start losing to the lower ranking teams, I dont think there is any remedy other than changing radically.

I'm also convinced of what you say, Rudi Garcia destroyed a team that made us so emotional last year and I honestly believe that even the locker room was split in two after his arrival! I didn't like him when he was coach of Roma and I don't like him now that he was coach of Napoli either. I'm sorry to say it but for me he was overrated, let's hope that at least Mazzarri can mend the spirit of this team

It is indeed not easy for a new coach to improve the condition of a club that is losing confidence and improve the quality of players in a short time and the new coach must adapt quickly and build chemistry so that the Napoli club can build good cooperation and hopefully Mazzari can make a contribution to this. Napoli club.

Mazzari previously coached the Napoli club from 2009 to 2013 and this season Mazzari returned again to coach this club but it seems that this coach didn't get many achievements while leading the club he led so it's natural that many people doubted him but Napoli again made a decision and trusted him. I think Napoli think that Mazzari can achieve good results considering that Mazzari has coached this team.

Mazzarri at Napoli during the 2009-2013 period had won a trophy but I honestly don't remember if it was the Italian Cup or the Italian Super Cup, and in that period he had shown many improvements in the team and fought for the Scudetto without ever succeeding, then he passed as coach of Inter and from there it seems that the decline of his career began, he no longer coached a top team. I'm not so enthusiastic about his return but I hope to be wrong and to see a Napoli with Mazzarri who puts his heart on the pitch in every match. Soon we will see how it will behave but obviously it takes time

But strangely, Napoli actually appointed Walter Mazzarri as a replacement for Rudi Garcia, and I don't think Walter Mazzarri has a good record as a head coach. Because after all, the fact is that the last team for Walter Mazzarri as head coach was Cagliari, and Walter Mazzarri also did not last long there maybe the bad results he experienced. Although indeed, it seems that Walter Mazzarri is also not new to Napoli, because in the past the fact that Walter Mazzarri had become Napoli head coach in the 2009 to 2013 season, and during that period Walter Mazzarri managed to improve Napoli performance by successfully finishing in a better position in each season. But ya, although Walter Mazzarri has good experience at Napoli in the past, but I think at this moment it is still not easy for Walter Mazzarri to provide fast and good results for Napoli, but let's wait.

I believe that the choice on Walter Mazzarri is only to be able to ferry Napoli to the end of the championship without further damage and preventing the fans from leaving the stadium and team to their fate. They now had no alternative and Antonio Conte refused. Unfortunately thats how it went this time.

I really don't like this national break thing. It is really boring to watch qualifiers stage as top teams have really easy groups in general. But at least we are returning to the Serie A with a giant game between Juventus and Inter. It is going to be played in Turin by the way which might change a lot of things.

Because I have known Juventus by playing really solid in home games. They are a master about keeping it that way when they get ahead first. Here if they do the same agains Inter also then my expectation won't be much different than that. Therefore I can't even be sure of betting on both teams to score here.

I have a feeling like Juventus will win this game by a low-scoring performance like 1-0.

Juventus vs Inter also known as the Italian derby (derby d'Italia) is always an exciting match and this year it will be more so because they are playing for first place in Serie A and it could be a decisive match to decide the probable winner of Serie A, if Juventus if they win they overtake Inter in the standings, however if they win Inter will extend their lead over Juventus second in the standings to +5. We will hardly see a match full of goals but I hope for a unique spectacle, as an Inter fan I hope they win but even if Juventus wins I am aware that we will lose against a great team

I mean that Inter seem really powerful this season in all areas. Especially in offense they are making big difference. Lautaro Martinez is a really player who is really difficult to be stopped. He is like a goal machine now. I don't remember whether he had any season like this before. This is a big advantage for Inter this season.

However in such big games we never know who will play how. Inter destroyed Milan for example. But Juventus' playing style is much more different. I doubt Inter can be that much comfortable here.

Empoli stunned everyone by winning 1-0 against a top-tier team like Napoli. This was the one of the reason the Parthenopeans president, Aurelio de Laurentiis and the board relieved Rudi Garcia from his position as headcoach. No one expected Empoli to win because they are fighting to avoid relegation this season. due to the fact that no team is impenetrable in tournaments, all teams will lose. They can strive equally challenging as they can to balance the scores and hit higher than expected, but they can still complete an unbeaten streak.

Honestly and with all the sincerity of which I am capable, I would never have bet a euro on Empoli. Not only is the difference in strength of the roster of players different and not comparable, but also the difference in club, coach and management. They are really two teams of different sizes, it`s like David defeating Goliath.

Yeah.. Napoli's appointment of Walter Mazzarri as a replacement for Rudi Garcia invites turbulence of opinions among fans and pundits. He has a reputation for being a somewhat volatile and demanding manager. But Mazzarri also has a proven track record of success at Napoli. During his previous spell as head coach from 2009 to 2013, he managed to improve the team's performance, leading them to a third-place finish in Serie A in 2011 and a second-place finish in 2013. He also reached the Coppa Italia final in 2012.

Napoli appointing Mazzarri will see him recapture the magic of his previous spell in charge. He is a passionate and motivated coach who knows the club and the city well. Of course, there are also no guarantees of success. Mazzarri's methods may not be as effective as they once were, and he may struggle to manage the expectations of the fans and the board. This appointment is a gamble for Napoli. There are risks involved, but there are also potential rewards. It's a decision that has divided opinion, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
