It is matchday for Napoli and Inter. Inter are going to play a tough match in Naples tonight. Napoli have replaced their manager in a time that I didn't expect at all. We don't know what Walter Mazzarri will do this season. For now I expect a similar performance from Napoli.

Inter are already going on really consistently. They played a quite tough game against Juventus last week but they were still the better performing side.

Napoli wouldn't play with the same match mentality with Juventus. They would play in a much more attacking sense. This can make things easier for Inter to score also. Both teams to score would be my first choice to bet on.

@Lillominato89 I’ll agree they had luck last year but they also had a strong coach and an motivated striker who gave it all to win but this season they decided to part ways with their coach and mock their star striker publicly and then not even apologise for doing that showed how badly they were being managed. Furthermore I won’t be surprised if the entire board steps down at the end of the season because they have royally messed this club and unless they go I doubt that they’ll even secure champions league football next season.

the team was strong and still is, I don't think anyone is questioning this, but they were very, very lucky. the coach did his best and I have to recognize it, Spalletti in Italy is known as the "eternal second" because both with Roma and with Inter he had never gone beyond second place and I am very happy for him who managed to win the championship especially with a team that wasn't a clear favorite at the start of the championship, so chapeau

The decision to sack a manager who won Napoli the Scudetto is a shocking reality. This was a big contestation and raised concerns among the fans. Losing a strong coach and publicly mocking a motivated striker can indeed have a negative impact on team morale and performance. The lack of an apology for that to happen may have added to the frustration around the club.

The potential departure of the entire board at the end of the season leads to a broad issue with the management of the club. And also the potential departure of some key players is a broader issue with the club's future. If the the club make decisions to avoid the problem getting more complex, it's understandable that fans are worried about the team's future. But If some key players decide to go, it will be a crisis for the club. The situation at Napoli is quite complicated, because decisions need to be made sooner or later.

well in the end I have to say that they won, after all they were playing against Real Madrid and not with a cheap team.
at least they didn't make a fool of themselves, that would have been worse
Mazzarri works good?

until 82 minutes the game was

real madrid 2 - 2 napoli  ( and the end of the game was 4 - 2 )

after that real madrid scored 2 goals very easily, napoli's defense was very bad and see that real madrid in the last 5 or 4 seasons has not been a team with many famous players in the team as was happening in the past , but even so, real madrid has managed to win the european champions league, it has managed to win the league, in this game it was evident that napoli are not a very big and strong team as their directors want to make it seem when they put pressure on their coaches For victories, I think that if Real Madrid had been playing against Inter or Juventus the game would have been much more balanced. I've been saying this constantly that Napoli's victory last season was thanks to luck

because the big teams were very weakened, but this season things are different, an interesting thing is that Italian teams in recent years have not signed the best players in the world as they did in the past, I remember well that the Brazilian player Adriano, Ronaldo, Kaka, Kafu, Ronaldinho and many great players were playing in Serie A, but today Serie A has become the second option for many famous players, I don't understand what made Serie A teams become like this. Today it is difficult to imagine the possibility of any Serie A team winning the European Champions League, last season the Serie A teams were lucky to get far in the European competitions.

the question is quite simple, Italy and Serie A have lost appeal for two reasons, the first reason is that in Serie A many managers in past years have done nothing but cheat, see calciopoli in 2006. the second reason is also the one that weighs the most are the television rights, in Serie A whoever wins the scudetto gets a prize for television rights equal to or almost equal to 100 million euros, in the Premier League the last team in the standings gets around 90 million as television rights of euros, it soon becomes clear that English teams are able to invest much more than Italian teams. Returning to Napoli, I also believe that last year was pure luck for them

I don't give Napoli a very much chance to win a back-to-back Serie A title either. Their start to the season ruined the plans for now. Because Inter and Juventus both are doing an amazing work these days. They are like copying Napoli's previous season now. We aren't even in the middle of the season though but this still looks very promising for them.

Even one of them drops from the championship race I don't think the other one would do the same. And as for which side to drop first in such case, I would say Juventus.

Because Inter look more reliable from the system they play accordingly and because of how much productive they are now too.

I don't think Napoli will take home any trophies this season; their play was not good enough to warrant a title. Since Napoli fired their previous coach, I understand that the team's output has to alter, but occasionally we have to acknowledge that a team's performance can also be affected by a coach change. Napoli was one of the best teams in serie A last season, leading the league and possessing a significant lead that no other team could match. However, this season, they appear to be a team that has never won the title and has changed coaches nearly twice.

I was hoping that Napoli would defeat Real Madrid this week in the Champions League because so many of the team's best players are still out with injuries. I also thought that Napoli would have a chance to win the match against Real Madrid because of this, but Napoli was unable to defeat Real Madrid during the match. In their second Champions League match, Real Madrid still prevailed over Napoli, demonstrating that the latter team is not strong enough to compete in the league this season. Chelsea is working hard to ensure that Osimhen joins them in January. Did you think Napoli would have a striker of the calibre of Osimhen?

The Napoli that I saw last night against Real Madrid could easily beat Inter, obviously as an Inter fan I know that they are much stronger and only they can lose this scudetto, but Inter will play away from home and it will be a tough match and difficult, that's how I see it

Ca veru e..
Of course you really love Inter, or are you trying to take away the bad luck by saying that Napoli are stronger?
In any case, I support the losing team, therefore Napoli. Go Naples! Work this miracle and beat my friend Inter!!!

About a back-to-back championship for Napoli I'm afraid I can't talk very positively. It is just really difficult for Napoli to keep up with Inter - Juventus duo. Even let's say Juventus start dropping down from the title challenge I believe that Inter would go for it until the end of the season. Because the way they play give quite much confidence to me about their winning the league title this season.

Napoli could at least start playing better maybe after this manager replacement. I'm not even sure about whether this manager change was really necessary after a short time.  Sad  In the end Mazzarri isn't a more successful manager than him on paper.

It`s impossible to introduce the schemes and tactics in a short time and make players who don`t know your schemes play well

it takes time

the positive thing is that these guys have already known each other for a long time, I mean the Napoli players, so it will take less time
But if you assemble a new team, it can take an entire year.

it's not that they actually won, the final result was 4-2 for Real Madrid, but in terms of play they showed big improvements and at certain moments of the match they could have beaten Real Madrid, but the difference in potential made the result goes in favor of Real Madrid. they didn't win but they will have become aware that they are still a strong team and it can be equivalent to a victory for the mood

he certainly didn't win, but he didn't make a bad impression
losing 4 to 0 would have been a real shame
and then what they told me, I saw a summary, they didn't play badly so I see the glass as half full

the season is now quite compromised but anything can still happen, Napoli would only need to win a direct match to revive the fortunes of their championship, I'll give you an example, currently Napoli are -8 behind leaders Inter but the next match is against them Inter, if they were to win against Inter they would move themselves to -5 from the top and everything can be rewritten. so I'm not convinced to give them up for lost when there are still more than 20 games to go until the end of the championship.

wait wait I am so sorry, but in your opinion, honestly and sincerely, does Napoli have a chance of beating Inter?

We can say if Inter loses against Napoli (because of Inter) then everything changes, of course. Only Inter can lose a championship that they have had in their pocket since the beginning.

in my opinion Napoli will be able to recover, clearly not this season, which is now obviously disastrous for everyone from every point of view. Next season they will certainly be well energized and happy to want to make the difference that they were unable to make this season. My opinion of course.
Napoli's recent struggles have been disappointing for all their fans and supporters. Sacking a manager after they the league is provenly a big mistake a club ever made. But I believe that they have the potential to bounce back and challenge for trophies in the near future. They have a talented squad with a strong team spirit, and they have shown in the past that they can compete with the best teams in Italy. This needs an ambitious will from the management and the president to invest.

Next season, They will need to keep their key players to stay at the club to maintain their champions mentality in the squad. they will have the added motivation of trying to make amends for their disappointing campaign this season. They will be well-rested and will have a full pre-season to prepare for the new season. I am confident that they will be a force to be reckoned with next year.

just look at what the bookmakers say, in the end they try to never lose money and certainly price Inter as the winner.
Clearly a defeat for Inter would give an advantage to Juventus and open the championship.
Not to mention that it would give a lot of bargaining power to Mazzarri

I don't question Walter Mazzarri's experience, in fact I know very well that he is an excellent coach, my doubt lies in the mentality of the team, will they be able to get out of this unfortunate period and settle into the module proposed by Mazzarri? or was the victory against Atalanta just a lucky coincidence? I want to hope and believe that Napoli with Mazzarri can return to winning ways and fight for a place in the Champions League, and despite this with the 1-1 draw between Juventus and Inter they managed to shorten the distance from first place to 8 points, which are not few but not many either and could also be part of playing for the championship victory

It looks like Mazzarri knows Napoli very well like it was predicted, as he has history with Napoli. They have a talented squad with a lot of attacking potential. If the Napoli players can quickly adapt to Mazzarri's new system and play together as a unit, they could be a force in Europe. For this goal to achieve, The club owner and board should be ambitious with their plan and investment.

Current Napoli is different to Napoli were managed by Mazzarri  before. Now Napoli is a holding Champion who has mentality to compete at the highest level. Mazzarri as an experienced manager who has a proven track records wont have big difficulties to guide Napoli with big project in the future.

That`s exactly the hope, that`s why they called Walter Mazzarri.
The Napoli management hopes that the team and players adapt quickly to Mazzarri`s game in order to contain the damage done by the previous coach. And seems works.

he is certainly avoiding doing further damage, his work must be delicate and surgical, he must hit the broken parts and try to make them work, at least until the end of the season
After that it's no longer his problem
