Scam, see the link actually redirects outside bitcointalk. Please confirm that it is indeed so, so that I can tag him appropriately

Edit: The profile link would be helpful too

Quick post to say that since the first time, i've dealt repeatedly with OgNasty and the quick service and resolutions has always been well worth the 1% fee.

Just in case anyone wonder.

most of the things i would be selling would actually be the systems they range from 20-150

games would range from 2 dollars + cause i do have some more expensive retro games so i dont think your rate min of .01 would be bad

My rate would be more than double the cost of your product.  I am unable to provide you with the service you want but wish you best of luck with your sales.

sorry to bother you sir im looking to use a escrow for items i have for sale i run a buy sell trade video games spot here in missouri at a flea market and its the down time so i figured i would sell on the forums

before i start posting items i would like to know how i would go about useing you for escrow i am a new person when it comes to selling if you could PM me i would appreciate it.

thank you for your time sir

My minimum fee (0.01 BTC) would probably make me a bad escrow agent for such small sales.  You could probably find someone willing to cut you a better deal.  The first post of this thread has an example of what to do (send me funds + necessary info) but I think you would probably have more success with an escrow willing to provide free services.

New scam going around using my name.  I've seen enough of these attempts now that it's time to make a statement.  Notice the fake quote from me below sent by hamsterfly that links to a 3rd party scam website.  This is becoming quite common.  Also, when clicking the fake quote from me, it takes you to a message by user themerkle.  There's 2 more scammers to avoid.

Hi hamsterfly,

No problem acting as Escrow for your hardware sale.

  • Buyer - Please transfer the required funds to the Escrow address in the first post of my main Escrow thread on Bitcointalk -.

    www.bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303281

Please pm myself and the seller the transaction I.D after transfer

  • hamsterfly please ensure you use a tracked service for shipping and send the info to the buyer

  • Please pm when you have received and tested the hardware so I can release the funds to hamsterfly

Cheers,
OgNasty

I am providing escrow services for a 1% donation (0.01 BTC minimum) and am opening this thread for feedback on my services.  Feel free to PM me to setup any escrow arrangements or send funds like in the below example.

The below address is the only address I will ever ask you to send BTC to.  If asked to send to a different address, assume you are dealing with a scammer.

Please don't ask me to escrow bitcointalk account sales.  If you do, I will call the seller a scumbag and will call you a scammer.

A reminder.

Over the last few weeks, scammers have tried every annoying trick in the book.  One of the annoyances has been sending me PMs in order to get a quote from me that they are using to send other members to try and scam.  This has been a waste of my time and is happening so frequently that I am to the point where I am no longer responding to stupid questions or users with negative feedback.

If you want to use my escrow service, read the OP and do it correctly.  I will no longer be responding to newbies with dumb questions or anyone with negative feedback unless I am bored and simply want to waste their time.  Also, I don't care what you're selling, but if you tell me it's gift cards, paypal, forum accounts, or altcoins, I will most likely tell you no.

I have plenty of longtime users I don't mind messaging back and forth with.  If you are one of those users, do not worry about this.  If you are a new user, read the OP.

There is also a good chance I will be raising my minimum fee soon to try and combat scammers annoying me for small non-existent escrows.

Hurts to see, people still fall for the oldest scam trick in the book, impersonation. Quotes can be easily faked too, if you haven't noticed.
Edit: The scammer too seems to be really dumb, the profile the "Quote from Ognasty" leads to, is your profile  Undecided

Both miners are running 100% to spec with no problems.

I am in the Uk so no taxes to pay, total cost inc. shipping via Parcelforce is 5.88BTC

If you want to grab them let me know and ill drop OgNasty a pm with the details to act as Escrow.

Remove the https:// when posting phising etc site. Anyway, as bitspill has said, it was clearly said in the last post that external links are not to be trusted, especially free ones
