Some scammer is going around with a fake PGP signature (see above) and getting people to think that means it comes from me.  If you don't know how to use PGP, then obviously I'm not going to sign a PGP message.  I only do this by request.  If you get a message from me and there's a PGP signature, it IS NOT FROM ME.

Its better if you import your PGP public key on Keybase.
Any layman can verify the authenticity of those signatures from https://keybase.io/verify

I know how to use PGP and my fingerprint is listed in my profile.  The problem is that people don't know how to use PGP and see a PGP signature and automatically assume that means it came from me.  If communicating via this forum, it should be simple for even a window licker to know they are speaking directly to me because of my trust ratings and the verified secure connection with bitcointalk.

I'll say again...  If you see a PGP signature and you don't know how to use PGP, ASSUME YOU ARE DEALING WITH A SCAMMER!

That's why Keybase is a handy tool.

I am constantly amazed each morning when I awake to some story about how someone sent all their coins to an address that a brand new account with 0 trust or activity sent them because they said it was mine...

Pay attention people.  Do not follow links that other users send you.  Do not send funds to an address other users provide you.  It is your money and your responsibility not to give it away to strangers in the night.

I just did a search of BCT using the first line of PGP/GPG code

Code:
iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJREyI7AAoJEINT5jezqu6wAPgQALDYQYOfd5q52cIz2I+7ojJ2

and it comes up five times - I'm just pressed for time this week and can't look further into it.

That signature is from John K's GPG key from back in 2013.

It looks like he has been AFK for a while, otherwise I could ask him who he sent that message to

Do your investigative work.  This could actually be a good lead in tracking down this scammer wannabe.

I am to set up an escrow between me and Just.ASIC for a KNC titan at 8.1 BTC. He is going to contact you as well. What is your fee for 8.1 BTC? I am useless at calculating math!

I am withdrawing the funds from my bitcoin vault on coinbase subject to a 48 hour clear time, by which point I will then send the payment to your signature address: 168WXhArv7Fasqvi2xm5MQMfLhG18jifMe

Thank you!
