What would be your best price for the whole 18,500 waves.

Also how would Escrow work?

Would I transfer the bitcoin to Escrow then you pm me the account details?

I have just seen a scam attempt using ognasty.org as my email.  If you ever see ognasty.org on anything, you are being scammed.

I am to set up an escrow between me and Just.ASIC for a KNC titan at 8.1 BTC. He is going to contact you as well. What is your fee for 8.1 BTC? I am useless at calculating math!

I am withdrawing the funds from my bitcoin vault on coinbase subject to a 48 hour clear time, by which point I will then send the payment to your signature address: 168WXhArv7Fasqvi2xm5MQMfLhG18jifMe

Thank you!

Friendly tip.  If sending BTC into escrow, you should do it from an address that you control the private keys.  That way if there is an issue and you need the BTC refunded, it can be sent back to the sending address.

I WILL NOT REFUND A BITCOIN ADDRESS THAT IS NOT THE SENDING ADDRESS WITHOUT A SIGNED MESSAGE FROM THE SENDING ADDRESS.

RULES:
1. I will not escrow accounts, paypal, or gift cards.
2. I will not refund a Bitcoin address that is not the sending address without a signed message from the sending address.
3. I am not a bank.  Escrows are for a period of 30 days and an additional 1% gift will be required for each 30 day period thereafter.

Scammers are getting desperate.  I'm seeing lots of new scam attempts.

Be careful.  Make sure you only send BTC to the address in my signature.  Never use a quoted message to get my address.  Being extra safe, navigate to this thread (don't use a link from a 3rd party) and just grab the address from the OP if necessary.

Users need to start being better at spotting these scams.  It is falling for MITM scams that funds these scammers.  Be smarter.

Scammers would only redirect users to their own cloned scam site.

That's true, that would definitely happen.

The best form of protection would be if users took 5 seconds to confirm the address is indeed mine, but I don't know how to educate so many newbies.

Perhaps someone would let me (or someone else) write a guide for how to properly use escrow and then paste it as a sticky in this section?

As lutpin mentioned, if your write-up is good, then im sure one of the Global Mods would sticky it but newbies tend to always not read the stickies.

If you write a good guide, I'm sure it's only a matter of time for it to be stickied.

Entrusting your bitcoins to a quoted message is .. well, pretty dumb

Yet it happens so frequently...  Be smart.  Ignorant users are basically funding these MITM attacks by falling for them.  If this issue doesn't start improving I will have to begin thinking about ways to protect users from themselves.

Maybe you could launch an escrow site. Semi automated and easy to use even for the newbies.

I just received this message but address is different from your Post # 1 now want to confirm is this OK or this person trying to scam thanks

Scam, see the link actually redirects outside bitcointalk. Please confirm that it is indeed so, so that I can tag him appropriately
I've left the user a tag aswell.
Same thing seems to be happening with monbux and other escrows right now also.
He made a post about it in his escrow thread, aswell as here.

Tagged as well. Pretty sure it's the same person doing this over and over again. People should be careful and also request for a signed pgp message. Entrusting your bitcoins to a quoted message is .. well, pretty dumb

Well i've been tagging and reporting the scammers/impersonators i've come across, but my trust reports doesnt mean much. Its been more effective to post my reasoning and proof in scam thread and let people like Tomatocage neg them good. Thats been working pretty well.
Post everything and we'll tag them accordingly. An additional tag from yourself won't hurt though.
