You have to sign the form with your wallet. If you are worried about that, you have bigger problems. That link won't change any of that unless it gets spammed. SB can verify everyone's signature with their payment address. That is why it is taking some time to process all this.

There's a lot of helpful folks in the thread. Unfortunately, I will only accept a refund form link sent to me from a known Steamboat e-mail adress (one that *I* know) with a signed confirmation message or a link signed with one of Steamboats batch wallets.

Security, Security, Security. Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not really out to get me. Ok? ;-)

A form hosted on Steamboats server with SSL would probably suffice too, but I'm not about to start trusting some form on google just because Tongue

This is the link I received in my email, it seems to be the same as the one Rakessh posted

[url redacted]

Probably won't help to post this URL here.  In fact, could invite spammers, trollers and fraudsters.  Please redact the url.

Oh I fucking hope I didn't post any links myself nor quoted any links, that'd just be epic retardedness on my part seeing I'm also shouting security security security Tongue

haha woops, meant to say the one bitcoiner49er posted is same as I got sent to my email, sorry ; )

Well, I'd like a bloody link to the refund info/procedure mentioned everywhere in this thread the past days.

And I still don't fully understand what the options are as they so far seem intertwined.

You too: posting this thread publicly could make it more difficult for steamboat.  Please remove it.

Stop using branwallets
An overclock design (v2) is a good idea.  Just need the room on the board and reroute the power.  I think the boards are already made up, though.

From what I have seen so far, marto74 is the ONLY one that has a working K16 with all 16 chips. On top of that it seems that he managed to get 450MHz per chip totalling 7.2 GH/s per K16.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3026801
if this is true I think we need to make changes to our design to what he did and possibly give him part of the profits of this whole groupbuy so we can get our chips hashing, 7.2GH/s per K16 is acceptable to me

Think. Positive. Thoughts.
Steamboat needs to double up the Bulk regs too (like the HEX16) so we can overclock the shit out of the Fusion16 as well. It's a lot wiser than loading only 8 chips per board (the 8 vs 16 chip issue is in software anyway, not hardware). I asked about the amps of this board already many weeks ago, should've done somehting then to have a backup plan like that (because chips were already starting to be late)

That said, hindsight of course, is always 20/20 Wink

Shouldn't the 8-chip board be able to overclock very well because they have the power supply of a full K16?

Honestly we seriously need a confirmation for refunds.   If by chance I gets some story about 'I did not receive your refund request' or 'you signature was invalid' and you have been moved to the back of the refund line, aka sorry you get chips - then I become the big ass black dude here:

Think about it, without a confirmation or public list, any member can claim they requested refund at anytime even if they didn't. This leaves steamboat open to any accusations from anyone here at anytime, and we as a group can not confirm support for steamboat or the claimant.   Its plain stupidity and/or laziness either way you think about it.  This can only result in serious group drama at the end - and the end is coming soon.

Steamboat - get on this and get on this fast - IMO.

PS - yes I know its a lot of work to make sure everyone gets confirmed, but its better than the alternative.

Hmmm, no email for me. I wonder if this is retaliation for being vocally critical of Steamboat's mishandling of this situation... Surely not...  Roll Eyes

And now we start waiting another week+ for the next update from the 'Cleveland Steamer'...

That's the HEX16 design, not the K16 design, from what I've read on that thread. I'm glad somebody has something working.

The HEX16 is based on the K16 design. Same as the Fusion 16.

Check the OP.
