And just because a few people deter from a coins mission does not mean its not working.

Just because someone trades a coin coin person to person, doesn't mean the world is over or the coin is finished.
It just means someone found a use for it besides its intended use.

Awesome thread. I read all the coins, but some descriptions are kind of vague.
Do any of them match these? I want to make at least one, if not all of these in the next 5 years. Please contact me if you can help.
(list)

EDCoin - impossible to decentralize
1TestCoin: easy
2CoinCoin: impossible to force people what to do
3USA Coin- hard to find gov official to convert coins on exchange, impossible to decentralize
4Economy Coin - not complete idea, who gets the dollars?
5Charity Coin- easy, but impossible to decentralize and high corruption risk
6Patient Coin- impossible to force people what to measure with
7Solar Coin- no way to force it in the protocol
8Seed Coin: impossible to force people what to do
9Collectable Coin- easy, with low or no economy, coin will die when reward drops to zero
10NAFTA Coin- easy, just another clone
11TexCoin- easy, just another clone
12Water Coin- impossible to force people what to do
13BioCoin- impossible to force people what to do
14ETcoin- impossible to force people what to do
15ZombieCoin- arent there a lot of them allready? mincoin , feathercoin, freicoin ?
16SportsCoin- impossible to force people what to do
17Slavecoin- quite easy

9. No, the coin won't die. Have you not read about what happens to BTC when they run out of coins? This coin could be the test to see if we can for sure get that done.

10. True (Like China Coin)

11. True (same)

12. Not impossible. If you open THE ONLY water coin store, and the only thing you sell is water. Then it's done.

13. Not impossible, same situation.

14. No impossible to force people, since the coins are being saved in a wallet, they don't have to "do" anything.

15. Are those MEANT to fail?

16. Not impossible if you make the only website that accepts them

17. Hopefully.

1. Edcoin: Not impossible to decentralize. I bet if schools were given the option to premine, kids and insiders would be mining. And the schools goal would be to sell the coins, so they wouldn't be hoarding them for 51% control.

2. I'm not trying to force people. It's just the mission of the coin. There is a porncoin, but just because you have porncoins doesn't mean you have to go pay cam girls.

3. I never suggested that a government official be involved,.

4. Whoever makes the coin would get the coins and be responsible.

5. Who would want to decentralize a coin that is giving them free stuff. And every coin that gives money to the developer has a chance of corruption.

6. It is not impossible to force people to measure in hash. You just make multiple sites an forum threads about the price compared to hash. If they trade it for money, fine. That's on them.

7. There is to a way to force it into protocol. By giving a percentage to the coins developer.

8. Same as the hash coin, as long as I put the exchange rate, it's done. They can trade for cash if the want to between each other, but it will be listed as seeds.

Replying to the rest now, my computer is freezing up.

Could use an update, but much more neutral and informative nonetheless.

It's digitalcoin not digicoin, and it was not moved up suddenly. There were announcements each time we were ahead of schedule and a count down that was also updated in the thread title and thread. The proof of all of this is the digitalcoin thread.

corrected to digitalcoin.

don't tell me what I red and saw. I saw at least 2 edits of OP changing what coin will be and when.

You said diff 1
I asked how did you mined it?
you said "slowly" and then pasted a picture of 4x gigabyte 79x0 card rig. like you mined it on GPUS...
than you edited OP that actualy it will start @ diff 0.1 but there will be no reward until diff 1
you said launch is predicted around thursday or smth
next day, when I check forum, and coin is launched 4 times quicker with 0.00024 diff and rewards from beginnig.
post  #7 and OP edited again....

I did go neutral on it. just posting facts, not my opinion.

There was no premine, and at least the coin was not announced the second it was launched. You guys usually gripe about all coins having 0 diff at start, at least this was not the case. I sense the butthurt.

If you want to make a real coin list, regardless of how useless or not you believe they are, it should probably be neutral.

I also mentioned that post was subject to change as things developed at any time for that reason.

There were multiple configurations being tested and I was updating as development progressed.

premine and instamine are different things. not to have instamine you would have to make a start @ diff 1 that requires some serious coding, not just some parameters change.

Thank you for the input sir.

I would just mention that Worldcoin was "falsely accused" of the premine part. Speculators can try to build a case about security and bloating, but a troll accused it of premining and build a rumor, so perhaps delete that one accusation.
Thx for this list of coins, nice job!

Looks good! thanks for leaving Doubloons off the list, they aren't spam but they certainly aren't currency candidates yet either.

At the rate coins are coming out people may temporarily jump ship from the current coin they are mining just for the speculation on it. This is not good for any previously released coin because it seems like it does not get a full chance to succeed beyond a pump and dump. This is how we end up with Bazaar threads in hopes someone wants to buy a new coin (or bar) that someone else may also have some blind faith in.

I wish the community could agree or vote on new coins first. If a coin gets a vote it should be in place for at least 2 weeks before any new coin can be released. In addition to BTC and LTC there should be no more than 3 other alt coins, each of them being different or bringing something of value to the table. A public calendar with coin release dates and all required information available at launch so it would be a fair release to all. If you have read to this point........don't actually expect anything previously mentioned to happen.

people are voting with their websites, mining power, and purchasing power.  that's the free market for ya!
