Is anyone else here using Spectrocoin's card? I'll consider adding a warning for their card if I see more people saying they are having issues with it.
i never try their credit card, but its weird if you dont add the to your list, spectrocoin have good site, signature campaign and good wallet,i think they really ready to make good bitcoin debit card, and also when i try their wallet, they have good feature. by the way its shocking me that you listed so many bitcoin debit card, because so far i just know some of them, like xapo, spectro and e-coin Grin

They are part of the list and it's unlikely that I'll remove them. At the time I posted this there were some complaints about their service, their support here seems active however. Unless someone comes out with substantial proof that a service has issues I'm not removing it from the list.

In general, if there are many complaints about a service and their support is nowhere to be found then I'll likely downgrade their service to Quarantine.

It's super cool what you're doing.

Please consider my proposal to add column called "Cost (Fees) to withdraw 1000$".
IT's little bit of extra work to calculate fees but it gives instant insight which service is cheapest.

Regards

Sounds good, I could do this myself after I have the info tabled. I assume you mean 1000$ withdrawal from ATM?

Yea.

Consider that we're not in country in where card currency == local currency.
So calculate maximum fees.

Example for e-coin - $1000:

ATM Transaction International - $3.50
Foreign Transaction Fee 3% = 0.03 * 1000 = $30

Cost to withdraw $1000 using E-Coin = $33.50 = ~$34.00

PS. Please note that some services have hidden fees. Like advcash which is using "internal exchange rate". It has hidden 2% fee in their "internal rate".

Extremely unhappy with Spectrocoin debit card.  Email two factor authentication broken, as emails come hours later (or not at all), which is too late.  Sadly, you can transfer bitcoin in without two factor.  You can also exchange bitcoin for USD without two factor.  Two factor is needed to both load your debit card with USD and to change the two factor to SMS, which hopefully is faster.  Customer service not helpful as they suggested I email them to request two factor be disabled.  It has been 3 days and no change.  I even included the help ticket in the email so they would know it was me.

Just to clarify, these issues may occur while using unreliable mail services. There has been no problem using Gmail, Yahoo etc. However we recommend using Google authenticator for the best response time and security. Your issue is reviewed ASAP and you will be informed. Sorry for the inconveniences.

can someone tell me if there is any bitcoin debitcard available for free

We have an offer at GCX, free virtual debit MasterCard with your account verification. But can only be used online or over the phone.

Other than that we offer a plastic (physical card), and a premium solid gold MasterCard with concierge services.

You'll find our URL listed in the original post for more details Smiley

I just ordered the wagecan card (65 usd) and went to load 300 dollars. The exchange rate is like 5%. Once you put it with the bank fees of 1% -2%+, this makes wagecan very pricey imo.

Hmm, now that you mention that, calculating what operator55 is asking for based only on advertised fees could end up being misleading in some cases.

Ok everyone, I plan on giving the OP a MAJOR update. What do you think of the following table format and details? Please post suggestions. Also, you should know that I'll crowdsource this and I'll be paying for data entry. Once we've settled with a nice table format I'll unlock this topic and start accepting submissions first come first serve.

I think better option than making a table with fees is to consider how expensive is to withdraw $1000 from most popular services.

This way you will have instant preview which one is cheapest.

Been painfully trying to use spectrocoin.com debit card.

I got a promo code and was able to purchase a virtual debit card.  This part was pretty painless.

I had incorrectly thought that once I put some BTC in my account that I could use my debit card after a few confirms.  Not quite.

The procedure is:
1.  Transfer BTC into spectrocoin wallet
2.  Exchange BTC into USD in spectrocoin account
3.  Load Debit card from USB in spectrocoin account

Sadly, I am stuck on step 3.  1 and 2 don't require any verification.  I set the spectrocoin account up for email verification.  Now when I try to Load the Debit card, spectrocoin sends me a six digit key to my email.  The problem is that even with very fast email servers, I am not getting the email until 30-40 minutes after requesting it.  Sadly, the spectrocoin enter the code page times out way before that, so I am unable to Load my Debit card.  I can't even change the two factor authentication to my phone, which would hopefully be faster, since this also requires two factor authentication.  Thus, I am stuck.

I would prefer a debit card that keeps my BTC as BTC and only converts it to USD on Debit card use.
Interesting insight, thanks for posting.

The OP would be more useful with a table comparing their fees.

I consider doing that but don't have much time ATM. If someone wants to create a BBcode table with the cards above including fees I'll surely add it to the OP.
