I have participated in this and so far I am not seeing any improvement on this coin. The performance of this coin is abysmal in EtherDelta. Can somebody tell me whether this project is still active or is it another form of scam coins or pump and dump coins?

Litecoin uses a 'script-based' algorithm to achieve consensus among nodes. Litecoin Classic will use direct acyclic graphs along with very low-difficulty sha256 hashing to achieve consensus.
