Because they are low value posts, basically. You may want to read Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ so you avoid future surprises.
So as long as you're on the right track, just take the small setbacks as learning experience.

Doh!  That'll happen when the content of an entire post is just your username, because if I'm not mistaken those tend to get deleted sooner or later, either because a mod is cleaning up a section or thread, if a thread gets deleted entirely after a game like that is over, or if someone reports those posts when it's over.  So counting on low-value posts (even if they're meant to be such) to contribute to your activity when you're below Legendary is risky. 

But you're doing all right, and I'm sure if you keep making decent posts (that aren't for games like the above) you'll get back to where you were before you know it.  If it's any consolation, I've seen people get busted down a rank or two because someone reported a bunch of their crappy posts and a mod deleted a bunch of them all at once, and those were actual discussion posts.

Congrats to everyone who ranked up!  It never fails to amaze me how few members are climbing the ranks every time this thread gets updated, because prior to the merit system a list like this would have had probably a hundred or more names on it.  So the members who rank up these days truly deserve to do so IMO.  Props to all of you.

Yes icopress has enough merits to reach legendary rank as his current merit stats is at 1039 merits but still he's hero member due to activity restrictions as he still lacks legendary one and have 770 activity at current but soon he will achieve the next and highest rank on forum.Similar is the case with you also man as you have crossed the most difficult part attaining merits and now see you have 1898 merits which can make one legendary,one hero,one one senior,one full and one junior member from scratch.This is Big achievement if you look that way.

But just a little wait and you will easily cross these levels and only need to remain active for some more time and next activity distribution period you will see new rank on your profile as well.Mark my words.

Again, while congratulating all the members which ranked up, I am more than pleased to see also someone I am close with listed by Coin-1. This time I see icopress reaching Legendary threshold, which is a great achievement. Congrats, icopress!

I also noticed that your activity is 775 now so starting next activity period you may become Legendary also with the rank per se. I wish you good luck to obtain this title in a small amount of time, thus avoiding waiting a possible maximum of other 260 days. I am in the same situation as you here and I am wondering after each activity update "will it be now?" However, the most difficult part has passed, that's what matters. Now we just have to wait.

Thank You very much for the Update. Yeah, I noticed something wrong with my account. My account was 4 years old and I had some old posts for Hunt, Races Purposed on the Gambling board. I had reached 260+ Activities a few days ago. But, yesterday A Mod deleted my 7-8 Old posts that were made back in 2017-2018-2019. The posts were like Username: naim027. Because the thread creator asked us to post usernames on their ANN to participate in the game. I Don't know why moderators deleted the posts. And Now my Activity stepped down to 168. It will take Four months to achieve the activities again.

The logs and chart have been updated. I also published the third part of the logs in the separate post because there are already too many Full Members on the main page of this thread.

I just looked at the first page of this thread, pressed "CTRL+F" in my browser, typed in the line "Poker Player", hit "Enter" three times, and found the following row in the table:


I see that you have earned 500 merits on August 25, 2021. I mentioned you here on September 10, 2021. Perhaps I didn't notice that you didn't have enough activity points at the time.

It should be noted that my analyzing tool only adds a row to the logs when a user crosses certain merit thresholds.

Forum users can rank up to the same position many times. Imagine a user have made 120 posts and earned 100 merits. Of course, he has ranked up to a Full Member. Then one of his posts was deleted by him (or a moderator). Thus, this user became a Member again. After that, he made a single post and for the second time "ranked up" to a Full Member.

Therefore, my logger analyzes all merit transfer transactions, but does not track user activity.

This is the third part of the list of users who received enough merits to rank up to Full Member.

It was somewhat not too long not too early journey for me on the forum to be a legendary member but seeing you name on that list of ranked up member is feeling of immense joy for me but i learned that if you are dedicated to learn and exchange knowledge on the forum then you don't need to worry about ranking up as you will receive enough merits from low as well high rank members to help you reach high ranks but you only need to be productive member of forum.

The queue for members creating thankful message threads on reaching high rank in hope of earning more merit is long  but i  seriously don't want to go that way and continue my work to be effective poster and have some more responsibility now.

Rest congratulations to all who have managed to receive merits and activity to qualify for next high rank in that list above.

I have proven that struggle is never in vain and now I am very relieved to see my name on the list of Legendary members in this forum after the merit system. I also want to congratulate all the users who made it to the rank, this is a great proof that can motivate other users. There are no words of satisfaction, just be grateful and continue to contribute.

That's from when I ranked up to Full Member. I have ranked up twice since then. The last one a week ago to Hero Member and I don't see it anywhere.

RickDeckard is another user for which I have a special appreciation, both for bringing very good contributions to the forum and also for the fact that he cares a lot for tough situations happening in various countries, including mine... This is rare and he impressed me a lot when he shared his worries for various regimes, corruption within governments and for all people suffering from such leaders. Congratulations, Rick!


Hehe, yes It is a sign of showing respect, a sign of appreciation and it's similar to "bravo!". However, it's a bit more eccentric word, used more in academic context. It's like saying "I take my hat off in front of you!"

And I missed this post although I am a close observer of this topic and I take any occasion to congratulate people which ranked up, especially the ones I know closer or the ones I had collaborated with... and I'm doing that since I first noticed this topic, 2 years ago. But, somehow I missed Coin-1's lattest mention of your name here, Csmiami, and I feel very bad about that.

But seeing it now, I am more than happy to tell you sincere "Congrats!" as you fully deserve your actual rank. Your contributions to the forum brought much wisdom and knowledge and I truly appreciate all your work here. I also thank you once again for the hand of help you gave me a while ago, during that investigation I performed (and which I did not finish yet ). We sort of already know how some a certain member profile will try to milk the forum out of... everything that can be turned into money (merits in this case). It's not really something new, but it's fun to see how creative people can eventually get in order to do so, and how the rest will follow (if not multi-accounts).

On a more personal note; thank you Coin-1 for the congratulation! I hadn't yet posted a thank you message because I didn't consider myself to have actually reached Legendary rank. I did want to surpass the 1000 earnt merits before I could start calling myself that, and even if it took a few weeks after the fact, it's now officially been done.

I remember that topic of yours and I congratulate you for your achievement. But it's a huge difference between "from zero to hero" vs "from zero to legend" Such thread is indeed understandable, as you obtain the highest rank possible, which comes also after a very long time of waiting... It's not that the waiting time for Hero is too short, but compared to the threshold needed for Legendary is way, way shorter... hundreds of days shorter. Not needed to mention also the difference regarding the required merits.

This is why I think such a thread, highlighting such a performance, like reaching Legendary rank, represents a very nice memory for each user and it's understandable why (almost) each one likes to share the experience through a topic in the forum. What I wrote earlier, about the "zero to hero hysteria" was referring also to the hysteria which seemed to touch many other lower ranked members, which were also creating similar threads (how I became Member / Full Member etc / My road to Sr. Member / I just got my first merit and I ranked up! / and so on and so forth) and I think you remember also that period It was like everybody which ranked up was creating a thread on this matter (indeed I am exaggerating here ).

I, on my side, considered to be useless to create any such topic prior reaching Legendary rank. Indeed, I respectfully thanked, with several occasions, to those which ranked me up -- and this is a gesture which I considered to do so from politeness and for expressing my appreciation. But about writing topics after reaching each new rank -- I never thought to do that. But I'd like to write such a thread when I'll become Legendary, thus it'll remain as a nice memory here...
