Please check these
I updated my rig of two rx480 xfx to mine eth using hiveos
Both into x16 slots

Z170 A pro Motherboard
1card 28mh
2card 7mh
Cpu intel 7500
8gb ram

Hash rates went up nicely compared to windows but i wonder if its possible to make them run both
How do i configure lanes property.
I can't make second Pci to run at good rate, swapped the cards which proved its not gpu issue

Did you add a 4g-alloc-size parameters?

does anyone understand how nicehash does it?
os = Win 10 x64
Can you post the commandline you use? (exclude the wallet address for privacy) And did you look at the output with the --list-devices option?

I always recommend

:loop
lolMiner.exe -a !ALGO! --pers !PERSONALIZATION! --pool !POOL! --user !WALLET!
timeout 10
goto loop
This won't help KingsGroup.IT though but it is an improvement if you want to keep the miner up after crashes.

KingsGroup.IT, can you post the output of lolMiner.exe --list-devices? I still suspect it's somehow not using both GPUs properly. Also you mentioned Nicehash, do they use lolMiner or a different miner for Zhash? I know they used to use various 3rdparty miners but I never really liked their auto-switching so I preferred to setup miners manually even when mining on Nicehash.

I think you are right with your comments...  is always better to get the server parameters from https://www.nicehash.com/stratum-generator

It's a miracle to mine in windows with 4gb 10+ mh/s

MSI Z170 Pro A mobo: • 2 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (support x16/ x4 modes)

if you use M.2 ssd that can use some PCIe lanes, use some USB flash or SATA ssd and some linux for better hashrate

Ye man, sadly my windows is on m2ssd. possibly what takes some lanes away, and i use this deskop daily so sad.
I do mine with 1070ti around 29mh and rx480 around 19mh if single x16 is taken

Hello,
Im having trouble running with 2x XFX rx480 4gb on z170 A pro MotherBoard (2x x16pci) on ETH
When i run ONE card using lolminer i get 19-20mh
--4g-alloc-size 4248 --keepfree 8 --devices 0

if allocation size is below this value, i get a joke hash (2-3mh)

As soon as i put second rx480 here is what happends

Card1: 14-15mh
Card2: 4-5mh

Set Gen3,
bove 4G decoding: enabled
driver version  adrenaline 20.11.2
Windows 10

Im using windows, booted from m2 drive on motherboard, is it possible that it makes a conflict, will switching to linux help.
Never mined in linux before.

Thanks, kind regards

That normal... with 1 Card you are using x16, when you put both is x8,x8...

But I seen ppl on group that can mine 2x RX4xx cards if there are two x16 slots (x8 x2) is it cause dag went up or..?

How does nicehash get +45 sol (algo Zhash) with a AMD HD7990 GPU using lol miner 1.21?
I downloaded this original version from gihub and... starting it... gives me a maximum of 21 sol.. with the exact same gpu.
how does nicehash do?
To me this looks like you are only mining on one of the two GPUs of this dual GPU card. As I posted yesterday, I can get 24sol/s on a single of these GPUs (at 950/1500 clocks with the timing mod). So when properly set up to run on both GPUs that sounds feasible. Look at the output of ./lolMiner --list-devices.

no... With nice hash miner ... each GPU mines + 20 sol each one .. Using the original version of lolminer each gpu makes a maximum of 10 sol each one

The best I could get for my 1070s was 26 MH/s at 70 TDP, Core 100, and Memory 600 which keeps them below 70C; if i increase memory up to 620 the rig is unstable. One with double fan goes up to 29 MH/s.

I suppose you are in Windows?... the Serie 10x0 sometimes need to check if reducing Mhz of the memory goes faster... because the memory is making errors and the gpu tries to recheck... that makes a reduction of the Mhs too... and a decrease of the Memory Mhz helps to have less mem errors an increase the hashrate

TDP is to low. Set a fixed vcore to 900mv for example. I can do  around 28mh with 120w. By the way why no one used fixed vcore on Nvidia cards? All decrease Powerlimit, but with fixed vcore, the rigs runs more stable, the wattage don´t jump up and down. We all set fixed vcore on amd gpu´s, but no one use it on nvidia cards  Huh

And not all pascal gpus have this TLB failure, the 1070ti´s have slightly other architecture, and there the hashrate don´t decrease with every new epoch. I have a few 1070ti´s running with 34 - 35 mh with same settings for 2 years now.

That can be done the the fix in Windows and now is also a option in RaveOS
