Obviously any trust built up during the life of one account will not transfer to another person because it would be common knowledge that the account is in different hands. Thank you for the offer! If the offer was serious that means accounts do have value for trade. Regrettably, I will have to decline.

True, but this information could be sold off the forum too. It doesn't have to be traded here. Many companies buy and sell email addresses and personal information to other companies.

I want to find out if there is any interest in having an established account for a newbie. There is a thread in meta over stopping the sale of accounts. I want to know if there is a reason to stop allowing it. Does it really happen? Of course, if I get a really good offer I'll take it and come back as a newbie. I've done that twice already anyway. lol
There are plenty of reasons to not allow it, but it is allowed currently.

Most of the old timers here have multiple accounts and the businesses have many accounts. ASIC company shills number in the hundreds.
