Elianite, sounds like a very cool idea and I wish you great luck with it.

If you make a high quality version on Casascius coins only, i'm in - seriously, i'd sign up today.

I'm not a fan of any of the other physical bitcoins. To me, they're all just copycats of Casascius and don't hold a fraction of value to the original. They're cheap imitations of the original. If I'm offending anyone, it's not intentional, just my true feelings.

As for your book, can you share any early prints or screenshots so people know the general look of what they'r buying? IF there's anything additional I can do to help, please let me know.

If you make a Casascius only version I'd also pay a premium if it was signed by Mike Caldwell. Cheers!

I am curious who the 8 good souls are ... I am 1 of them. Happy to state publicly.

I think this is will be a great resource for the community, and I am surprised that more than 8 arent either interested in a hard copy first issue of the book, or dont want to support the project so that it happens

Wondering how we can collectively help to make it happen, as it would be a crying shame if it didnt

It seems unlikely that given the duration that has passed that another 17 are gonna come forward.

Bottom line ... what do you need to make it happen Elianite ?

As we have PM'd before, happy to assist in proof reading drafts, seeing if there is anything else I (we all ?) can do

Im already on the list.  I agree would be a crying shame if it could not happen.  Great first ebook.  And im sure the next one will be right up to par.  Im all for helping whatever needs to be done as well.

any chance of launching it as e-book, for example, on amazon?

So we would be able to get future upgrades without having to order again, and no need of shipping etc, while you will be sure that the e-book won't leak

My intention all along has been to make the book freely available at coinfirm.org
As such, 'leaking' wont be an issue; im putting this out there for free. the print edition is just an ;extra special' aspect

I'm interested. I would like to see an examples of the design (cover/spreads). Is it printed in offset?
Cheers

I havent yet finalized where I will have it produced, but I expect to have it done in 'standard color'

for an example of what the spreads will look like, see my first book at www.coinfirm,org
The spreads will be very much similar, but I have not yet designed the cover. I will look into offset printing.

I think its only worth getting in physical form if its done professionally vs something I could photocopy myself.

It may be a challenge selling a physical version if the digital one is still free.

How about a ultra edition signed by many of the coin makers?  I collect autographs too, so it would be a perfect fit for me.

Thats a cool idea, but honestly the logistics of it are daunting. I dont know how many people would be that interested in the autographs, and there are a huge number of manufacturers to deal with. Im going to have to pass up on this suggestion, even though it would be sweet.

Maybe you could only get the main ones/biggest...

Will this be bound and stapled/glued like a real book with a soft cover?

Looking forward to this edition.  Feels like its been a long time in the making

Yes, It would be professionally done with a soft cover; no stapling color prints Tongue

It has been quite a while indeed; I meant to release everything in January but ive been too busy to get everything in order.

Elias could just send several copies of the makers page in a Self Addressed Stamped envelope, as opposed to the whole book.  They sign and drop in the mail.  Not too bad.  I used to do the same for celebrities with photos.

Good idea. I'll sign 100 copies of the title page (maker's page) or the Bitcoin Penny page. No problem. I'm always happy to help. Smiley

Christopher @ The Bitcoin Penny Co.

Judging by the price of it, I guess it is Tongue

I am on the fence about getting one, still deciding...

Lol that would be a really cool idea, although pretty expensive to do.

Yeah, that sound much more do-able than shipping the whole book.
