There are little chances for Electroneum to be scam. But, keep in mind that all ICOs and crypto overall out there involve risks, see what happen with Bitconnect for example.

ETN is a sleeping giant, it will show itself in the near future. This year there will be many great events such as the listing on the major exchanges, the launch of a mobile app. I think the price for ETN can easily exceed $1

I think the message of this cryptocurrency is misleading.
They sell it as the "mobile cryptocurrency", as if you could use your phone to mine it, make transactions, etc. But this is untrue.
As long as I have understood from the technical whitepaper (it is not technical at all), the mobile app does not mine nor even interact with the blockchain.
It rather seems to be a kind of faucet that gives you some coins for free (insignificant amounts I guess).
The real mining tool is the desktop app, which downloads the blockchain and performs real mining.
Either way, a great marketing strategy...

i think you should take a research on the ico to make sure if it's good to invest in.

Definately holding my etns for a while. I have lots of smaller stacks of cryptonight coins, hoping some of them will go up during 2018.

I think electroneum is now doing surprisingly good, I really hope the team is able to make some strategic partnerships now that they have a decent wallet and technology stolen from monero.

Eleectroneum has a real team. I heard they contacting companies for partnership. People just need to be patient with this.
Electroneum has a strong team actually the team has a MOU with some big companies but if this coin listed only on cryptopia this would not go to moon.

Electroneum did have some of the biggest losses out of all the mainstream coins this week. I see it recovering a little, but it is going to take a bit for it to come back from the 50%+ losses over the last 7 days. Do I think it is a scam? Of course not. This is a legit project with a legit team and a legit product. I just don't think their launch had very good timing due to the market crash, but it isn't like they could have predicted this.
I agree with you.  I also think there is a legitimate need to see the team deliver results.  It takes time to do what they are trying to do, and I don’t mind being patient. A long and steady delivery against expectations will build more confidence and long term reliability for the platform and the coin.  I am happy to HODL while the team builds something solid.

I think the delays with this are mostly that the 'team' doesn't really understand blockchain at all and are learning about it as time progresses. People who are more technically savvy have pointed out that Cryptonote was not the best algorithm for what they're trying to achieve (whatever that really is - the cynic in me believes they have a year to ride this out til they can sell their ICO funds, people seem to forget that). There is a limit to peoples' patience, some say it takes time but 2 months in crypto-world is eternity and what have they actually done in that time? Apart from get a few partners on board, that's no big deal, when you raise an alleged $40m in funding, turns out most people will work with you if you pay them...

When you peel all the layers back, as others have noted, this is just 'Monero with a shitty mobile miner that is still vapourware' and one of the main reasons its generating interest is because of all the idiots who see 'mobile mining' think they're going to get rich by doing sweet FA and that this is some golden ticket. I would be interested to know how many people who hold a lot of ETN hold that coin only and no others.

Don’t need to say a lot about the fact that three whole months have passed and they are still only on one shitty exchange with very little news about any others... can you imagine if in your country you could only use one bank? What if you can’t get an account with that bank or exchange (Cryptopia) - it’s not unheard of...

Anyway, while the answer to the question 'is it a scam' is 'no', the answer to the question 'is it a shitcoin' is 'yes'.

Electroneum is not a SCAM, you have to invest according to the information you learn yourself and decide, not for crowds, not following feelings and ensuring your investment if lost does not affect your real life. do not come to conclusions before doing in-depth research.

I think this is a good technology and an active developing team inspires confidence that they really want to see electroneum come to life

in two or three days etn is worth only $ 0.01. Everyone will sell now and try to buy dollars. if there is no crypto in one month, people will have their dollars safely. and dear little dollar than no token  Grin one week -52%

That’s as much doom and gloom as I have heard in a long time.  I was surprised to see it as low as .05 USD, but it is climbing again, along with the rest of the market, so I expect it had avoided this demise, at least for the present.

NO NO..ETN is not scam, it will never be SCAM. I trust the team. It is better to be slow and sure rather than rush to please investors and fail to deliver in the end. Expecting the price to slide even lower due to price manipulators and recent government warnings on cryptos. I believe ETN will emerge stronger than ever. HODLER.

I won't say it's a scam, just the developers are super lazy they raised 40m if I'm not wrong, and the coin is a fork from Monero and there was an error with a block but it wasn't spotted by them it's spotted by the community and there isn't really use case for ETN only the mobile mining is the key feature but in fact it doesn't mine on the blockchain's block just a simulation which this project was heavily funded just for that? How much do you use to build that and the tokens which were unsold just simply given out for free therefore the project is lazy and will die soon if there isn't any new ideas or key features being implemented.

As of today, Electroneum surpassed the $0.11 mark because the launch date is now near. The reason why Electroneum is not scam because the team is real, the office is real, the CEO's existence is real and so many others. Hackerone is having a high reputation when it comes to protecting sites from hackers and intruders. Tether has lost $31 million from the hackers because they haven't done their homework before launching.

Have patience! ETN will skyrocket to the moon!

In regards to why hackerone would work for them...well...they're a company that is providing a service for money. I'm not entirely sure hackerone would be in the business of validating a cryptocoins legitimacy vs being a scam but merely ensure their infrastructure is secure through auditing and the like.
