I noticed Howard, with only 14 minutes inside the court, his contributions were really high, 9 rebs and 8 points.

Ya, I saw he had 6 points and 5 rebounds in his first 7 minutes, yet still barely saw playing time the rest of the game.  I'm not a huge Dwight Howard fan, but the guy is really playing at damn near an MVP level right now and he's not even getting decent minutes.  Maybe he's old so they're limiting his time and that's why he's a monster when he does get out there.  Who knows...  From my perspective it's like the coach is trying to not play his best guys...  DeAndre Jordan has been good this year too, but Dwight deserves the starting spot for sure, although I guess I can see wanting him to come in for defensive purposes when AD sits down...

I do agree, and I thought that Dwight will be the starting center for the Lakers this year. And in the last couple of games, Howard has been putting good numbers in point and in rebounds as compare to DeAndre who are very slow and committing useless fouls. I do hope that Dwight will be extended with the way he is playing right now. And I would say good win by the Lakers and Lebron has a monster game coming back from that suspension.

Compare this two lakers giants I can say that Dwight is more valuable on their line up knowing that he give some good contribution to his team and I also think that he deserve to be starting center since this could give them more chances to win, But maybe they have plans for play offs so maybe lets just see on how their rotation goes.

Also its good to see a classic lebron showing some good show and put up a heavy performance today hopefully he can sustain it so that we can see lakers in play offs since its boring to see a play off without lebron.

Yes, Howard has fulfilled his role (I believe he can improve), but coming off the bench he is a good help for the Lakers.

I didn't follow the Lakers vs Pacers game...
A player that I've been talking about lately and that is surpassing my expectations is Carmelo Anthony, in the game against the Pacers, Melo scored 14 points, against the Knicks, scored 12 points, against the Pistons scored 18 points.
For a player who practically "was without a team" and about to retire, he is surprising everyone, not to mention that he is tense a consistency in very relevant games!

He and McGee help the interior from that last bubble title.

I think I already pointed out that months ago. Dwight Howard is not a factor on the Lakers championship run in the bubble. He is not consistent since then and that's the reason why he doesn't have enough playing time. A year later when he traded to Sixers, the same thing happened that's why he become a bench warmer.

Even given good minutes for a veteran, Howard's stat sheet is almost clean from its playoffs appearance from Lakers in the 2019-20 bubble to 2020-21 in the Sixers. For me, the best thing to utilize Howard is, if this dude played big in a game, make him starter the next game. He is not consistent but maybe there's a catch for it by giving him the pump at the early game rather than later on.

Think it's just management.  The whole team is gonna break down at some point.  If Dwight plays 25-30 minutes a game dude is gonna be gassed or end of season injured by the all star game.  Good bad or 9ndifferent I think the younger guys have to get the run in the early part of the season and as they get near or after all star start ramping up older guys minutes.  This applies to russ as well.  He should be playing 15-25 minutes right now.  Anything more and he is a detriment.

LeBron and AD can easily drop the ball or can shoot comfortably when one of them is inside, the 2nd chance is very possible.

I would like to see that strategy to work after this Christmass. Maybe the time is enough to blend into those stars and show up
what's the best key to keep on winning.

Next year is not the time to relax or else they will find themselves exiting the season in a much earlier period.

^ Wasn't able to bet on the Lakers in this game as we all know they are very inconsistent.

But yes it seems that bench was finally woke up and produce big number, it was Lebron's season high for now. And he gets 2 fans ejected too, and he said postgame that they are throwing obscene gestures and words. So now they are 10-10 and still a long way to go for them to be in the winning percentage.

You can see the way they play right now, they are not like they used to be when they were won the Championship. They are against the Pacers today which is not that competitive but they still struggling.

I thought the Pacers will win tonight's game because the Lakers are obviously struggling and with the absence of Anthony Davis, that makes things worst.

The Pacers are always on lead the whole game and the Lakers just got their first lead on 4-minute mark 4Q courtest of Malik Monk. They make again another rally like what they did in their 2 previous games and this time, the result is a win. Lebron James with a big 39 points and Westbrook added 20. But the one I noticed is that, Coach Vogel gave chance to Malik Monk and Wayne Ellington to showcase what they got. Good thing that someone from the bench stepped up.

Yes, it's a huge win by the Lakers starring Lebron James, and there are a lot of Lakers who really step up their game on this one.

Monk - 17 points
Anthony - 14 points
Ellington - 14 points
Howard - 9 rebounds

And almost everyone really scored in this game, although it is another close one for the Lakers, they have to go to OT to secure their victory.

I noticed Howard, with only 14 minutes inside the court, his contributions were really high, 9 rebs and 8 points.

But I agree with Harizen coach Vogel twist gives them extra lift from the bench. It's not just LeBron and Russ but whoever playing
alongside with them are doing everything to help.

Even it needed an extra time, a win still counts as a win and they need more to get a comfortable slot in the next round.

Congrats to all Lakers fans, betting for them gives a decent profit, they ate the underdog here fr sure viewer who bets
during live games are very happy for this win.

Honestly, the Lakers look like a super team only on paper at the moment because they still have big problems with team chemistry. Nevertheless, I just checked the odds, and I'm a little surprised that the bookmakers still consider the Lakers one of the favorites to win the NBA title even despite their poor performances after the start of the season.

They are against the Pacers today which is not that competitive but they still struggling. Looks like if they somehow get to the NBA playoffs, they won't survive the first round like last year. Anyway, NBA it's not all about them. I'm currently watching Suns vs Cavs the best looks like a good match-up cause Suns is attempting to preserve their winning streak today.

Criticism is normal in NBA especially if people do not see their expectations, prior to the start of the season, I read an article not criticizing but doubting the roster of the LA Lakers, and they are correct, the LA Lakers struggles big time from the preseason up to now. Well, for those who are saying they are not a super team, well, I think the odds will not like, they are the favorites to win the NBA Finals next to the Nets, and for me, LEBRON, DAVIS, and WESTBROOK is already considered as a super team.

Adding Westbrook should not make the Lakers a super team. It's no secret to anyone that there's no perfect pair on Westbrook since then. The expectation to Lakers is not because they are a super team but they should have a tough way to work on their chemistry.

Actually, most of their core players are contributing in every game but where's the problem?

Number 1, when they are big lead, they are confident.
Number 2, they are not playing defense.
Number 3, players rotation. If someone is off-night even after playing for almost 20 minutes, the coach should bench them and give way to others regardless if it's a superstar, all-star, or bench.
Number 4, there are still missing players which might fill the hole of what's lacking to them, e.g Austin Reeves, Kendrick Nunn, the veteran Trevor Ariza.

I read some articles that DeRozan is already ranked at number 3.

The ranking was

1. Curry,
2. Durant
3. DeRozan

What do you think about this, is it reliable based on the stats of DeRozan and the impact on the team?
I like to get your thoughts on this as I would try to put a bet on DeRozan to win.

Even though the Bulls are good, they are not as great as KD or Steph's teams.

DeRozan also does not come close in terms of his impact on the court compared to those two players.

He is definitely top 5 in the MVP discussion but I think that the Bulls are thriving because of LaVine as much as this is a result of DeRozan's individual efforts.

Are you guys excited to see Klay playing again? Well, if you are here's the latest update and we might see him soon back in the court, the number 1 in the NBA now will get back one of the best shooters in the NBA.

Cool to see him came back after long rest because of injury since for sure he will contribute again in terms of adding points to their team but lets not expect any huge performance to him as he is just newly recovered from major injury what he got from the past season. I expect that he will not get any huge minutes and maybe we can see him do some good action on next season.

Klay comeback will make the GSW run more exciting.

I already feel bad for the Sixers facing the Warriors just by looking at who could be missing in their line up. This will most likely end in a blowout or at least a ten-point differential if Doc can manage to pull some tricks on Steve.

... they build a super team with popular names in the NBA,
....
How Lakers become a super team this season?

They are certainly NOT a super team.
Super team of veterans. There's no such thing but let's keep it at that hehe.

As the Lakers struggle will continue, we can't prevent people from saying their dismay because they have a high expectation on the LA Lakers. I mean, who would not expect a lot, they build a super team with popular names in the NBA, but look what they are showing, they can even hardly beat lower rank teams.

Let's clarify something. Do you think they are a super team before the NBA starts? Only a few considered them as super-team but most people think they are just a bunch of veterans and already past their prime. Carmelo Anthony is almost on retirement when no team is signing him. Just lucky to be signed in Portland. Westbrook is now changing teams since being traded from OKC. Dwight Howard is not performing well for several years now. The only consistent and still on prime is Anthony Davis. Lebron James is turning 37 years old.

How Lakers become a super team this season?

They have been criticized before, not even the team starts this season.

I was waiting for something special from LeBron, after acquiring Melo and Russ and with a healthy Davis, this team still capable of competing.
There's something wrong inside, coach need to figure it out to find ways and adjust.

With the way this team is performing, they are just proving what their critics said after forming this roster.
