Hi guys,
when margin crashes it sometimes doesn't want to start again. It just stops when there is "Checking credentials..." down just above the "I agree to this disclaimer".
What are the steps we can try to fix this situation without losing all the open pairs and other settings?
Thank you very much

Hi,

can you write a mail to [email protected] including the OS and exchange you are using?

Thanks and all the best,

In my opinion discordapp.com more actively than Telegram channel, anyway thanks margin for creating Telegram channel .

We might open a discord channel too. What do the rest of you think? Telegram or Discord?

listserve or majordomo work for me  Grin

Well, i already have a german telegram group for anything cryptocurrency related (see my sig.) ... i'm already on some cryptocurrency related discord .... Oh and there is/was some leonArdo related usenet/google-groups group...

Dunno, i tend to use mostly telegram and i'm migrating from G+ over to diaspora anyways.....

But well, opening a discord don't costs anything... Dunno.

Yay ... i just re-opened bittrex because i wanted to look at some graphs ... and..

Well a surprise, bittrex is now working for me!

Maybe this particular margin instance works because it is running on a separate ubuntu box? I don't know but i'm just happy to have bittrex back. Wink

That's over and over again why i consider margin to be a profi class trading terminal.

One UI for multiple exchanges. Wherever (on which exchange and which pair) i set up any order, i have the same oversight, can easily calculate my gains using simple drag and drop tools, on the same chart i carefully configured to my needs.

It's just .. how things should be, regardless of which exact exchange it is actually..... Wink

Thanks! And we are even making it better every day!

G,day mate,
I seem to be have in a little trouble on hitbtc, basicly not showing orders or funds. All other exchanges working perfectly Wink
hitbtc: Network error in buffer(funds): http error while querying account funds: [http code: 502(Bad Gateway)]: UnknownServer (an unknown error related to the server response was detected)

I 'luckily' can not confirm that, HitBTC working fine here with 20 open pairs.

HTTP Error 502 sounds like some hickup between you and the original/real HitBTC server (maybe a connection issue between the CDN and HitBTC).

I hope that will get caught on soon.

Shared Opinion, here is one I can agree with. -There is a season for everything and we are in the first stages of the annual Bull run!

A great read.

Somehow I just cannot detach in my mind the interrelation of Bitcoin's Annual Bull run with White Tail Deer Rutting Season. Where I live all the (too) young female deer are standing in people's yards like ornaments waiting for the adult deer to finish their dance. Is there a correlation of seasons..asks the Shaman?   Roll Eyes

One thing has become evident as I add exchanges, using margin as a common UI is so much better and safer than trying to learn all of the exchanges as some are poorly written and others are contrived to help you use or spend needlessly.

Enjoy the Season!  Cheesy

More arbitrage opportunities today!  Grin

Bitstamp
Bleutrade
CoinbasePro
Kraken

Are selling BTC about 100-fiat lower than these:

Binance
Bittrex
HitBTC
HuobiPro
Poloniex

So if you've got volume, there is profit to be made regardless of the trend.  Shocked

Hey Hacky,

Thanks for the reporting.

We will look into it!

Best wishes,
Jonathan

I was finally able to find an additional case where margin tends to crash, not depending to a specific market/api.

When orders get closed while trying to adapt it in a hurry, margin seems to really not like that and just crashes. Happened most of the time on the poloniex api but seems not to happen only there.

Besides that, margin seems to be pretty stable over some days uptime. Wink It just eats a lot of memory over time, but mkay, usually i have binance, bitfinex, bittrex, hitbtc, kraken and poloniex open with lots of pairs... Somewhere need all these data to be stored  Cool

hacky

Hey Hacky,

Thanks for reporting this.

Can you expand a little on this description

"When orders get closed while trying to adapt it in a hurry, margin seems to really not like that and just crashes. Happened most of the time on the poloniex api but seems not to happen only there."

so that I can reproduce it?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Yeah sure, no problem because it just happened again to me.

On binance on the BNB/BTC pair, i wanted to drag-and-drop a regular limit sell order to a higher sell price and just in that second, the order got filled from the market.

margin just closes when that happens and it seems not to be depending on any particular exchange (api) or pair.

hacky
