Hey rakesh1_90, I'm really sorry that someone stole your coins. Same thing happened to me about 2 months ago, but in my case I lost a LOT more than you did. I'm curious....did you have your wallet encrypted? In my case I didn't have my wallet encrypted.....tough lesson for me to learn It just never occurred to me that someone could actually infiltrate my computer and steal coins directly off of my desktop!
I also had 4 BTC stolen from my Poloniex account when I first started out in crypto because I hadn't enabled 2FA. Doesn't sound like much now, but at the time, bitcoins were going for over $700!
So that's TWICE that I have had my coins stolen (although I admit both times were due to my naivety and stupidity)
Unless crypto solves this problem, it will never have a chance of becoming the global currency. Just imagine that you have your life savings in BTC or some other crypto and then one day you turn on your computer and poof, it's all gone. And of course unlike banks, no one insures your btc and it's next to impossible to find who stole it. So basically with cryptocurrency, in the blink of an eye you can go from being rich to having nothing.
THAT is the big problem with crypto.
"THAT is the big problem with crypto"
The big problem is that people often do not secure their wallet .
And lose money if they get hacked.
It's a human failure not a crypto failure
Agree, use a different hard drive just for your wallets. You must have had some stupid shit on your computer in order to get hacked. Never been hacked.
