Actually it depends on a person's thinking, knowledge, time and financial condition. Someone may think mass bounty hunting is better and some may think trading. Actually trading has uncertainty and risk on the otherhand, bounty hunting is risk free but time consuming. And I believe getting outome from crypto depends on many things. So, basically it's a matter of choice which vary from person to person.
There is no way I can see someone having a full time job as a mass bounty hunter. You are only allowed to sign up one account up and even if you are doing bounty after bounty there still is no way to guarantee that you can live off of it seeing as bounties take a couple of months at a time to pay out and if you are not lucky you will just end up with a bunch of worthless coins which means that you are not making any money from it.
If you have money to buy crypto, you can't loose anything if you do some bounty campaign beside that. Signature, facebook, translate, anything... You can only earn more money.
Actually I'm mass bounty hunter and part time crypto trader buy sometimes I do both simuntousily so don't know I'm in which category. Maybe sone special category is created for me. 
The bounty of the program does not guarantee you a steady income and if you want your earnings to depend only on you, then you will be more likely to trade the crypto currency at the exchange. But to trade on the exchange, you need to learn a lot.
I still do bounty task because I don't have enough knowledge on crypto trading and beside I don't need funds to invest in bounties just my time and effort will be enough but I see people who earn profits much faster in trading compare in doing bounties.
I think that the pluses are what you yourself can decide when to work and when to rest. Minus is a very difficult job and unstable can be a long time in a drawdown

Full time crypto trading is only for those who have enough capital to buy or invest on the desired coin. while the bounty hunter must follow or participate in a signature campaign project to get the capital to invest in the desired coin. so both are equally good, just want to choose the path which is the same.

As for me you need to understand what is better for you and what is your strong side. Some people are bad in trading and choose bounties.
If you have your money and possess the required trading skills, you will not have time or waste your energy on bounties which may turn out to be scam at the end of the day or may not pay you in time

It all depends on how experienced a crypto trader is. But, I think a mass bounty hunter earns more than a crypto trader, because trading takes a whole lot of risks. And, a bounty hunter does not really lose his money, although there are some fake projects he has to endure. A trader tends to lose his money anytime. It's all about risks.
I think experienced day-traders gain much more profit than bounty hunters, if you want to be one of them, you need to dedicate yourself to learning and find good mentors. The more you learn - the more you earn
