XCP has a symbolic relationship with Btc.
Do they share symbols?

Did you mean symbiotic?  I am confused.

MSC & XCP have alot of similarities except

MSC says it on paper only
XCP has a functional D'ex

what MSC said what they could do XCP is actually doing it.

My CryptoPortfolio consist of projects that are building/constructing
decentralize peer2peer trustless technology ( XCP, MSC, NXT, PTS)

Zerocoin is goin to be one of the top most sort out coin of 2014

Edit: looked at XCP, looks interesting, but it seems like using the BTC for development would be a lot more productive than just burning it.
I'm staying away from it for precisely this reason.
Yeah, just randomly throwing money away doesn't seem like a very good strategy to me.  What are these guys thinking?

I agree its money that could have been used to pay developers.
On the other side with so many scams lately - they thought it’s the best solution.

But even if there are so many scams, this does nothing to prevent them.  It is merely a waste of resources.  I don't know who could get behind a system which throws money away.  How will this attract intelligent people?  Idiots might like this system, but I doubt seriously any clear thinking person would participate.

XCP- Proof-of-Burn concept is based on the idea that btc are being
sent to an unspendable address that no one owns the private key to.

With XCP seems to have a functional D'ex in place already.
MSC only has it on paper.

XCP has a symbolic relationship with Btc.

I would like to see both MSC & XCP succeed

as I have investments in both projects amongst
other up & coming decentralize, peer2peer, trustless
technology.

ps. expect Zerocoin around May 2014

ElDido you work fast! keep it up.

one more small suggestion:
i think the trade mastercoin button should be at the top tab next to market button.
it's the most used button thus its "annoying" to have to press (i) operation  --> (ii)  trade mastercoin

Thanks for the kind words, credits go to DarkEmi for these changes though.
Once again your suggestion is appreciated and we'll probably make this change.

far from panicking..

amongst many of my portfolios that are being diversified.

NXT, PTS, & MSC is the last one to be touched ( my business partner & I are in debate about this)

I believe in decentralized, peer2peer, trustless technology. (we're heavily invested in the most)

Ethereum & XCP are being added to our growing diversified cryptoportfolio.

investing is knowing how to manage risk

I'd be very interested in knowing your portfolio list. We have very similar interests. I haven't seen XCP yet, thanks for the tip.

Big Announcement:

the dev's have finally reached 100% consensus on transactions after a weekend long hackathon across the 4 Master Protocol implementations:

Masterchain.info
Mastercoin-explorer.com
Masterchest.info
Mymastercoins.com

https://masterchest.info/consensus_masterchestinfodev.aspx

Note there is a slight issue with dev mastercoins vesting to 1EXoDus time stamp calculation but that is being fixed.

Great job ! Congrats.

I agree that a Dutch Auction is a good idea:
(1) Buyers will start fighting against each other to buy J.R MSC instead of J.R "chasing" them.
(2) It will be over much quicker letting J.R to start working full time and stabilizing the market.
(3) I think it's worth thinking about trying to do it in a way that is decentralized so 1 strong buyer won't be able to buy all. A rich buyer that is looking for a short term profit can do more "damage" to the market than J.R is currently doing.
really good optimistic thinking.

Look at the Exodus address for the month of August.  There are waaaaay more than 50 Exodus investors.

i don't need to look there. i can look here: http://mastercoin-explorer.com/addresses (Top 50 MSC Address: just add up the  Percentage and subtract J.R holdings)

but maybe reserve some for exodus addresses so we can potentially buy more, and if we do, they you can be fairly sure the coins are going to more then one person

I think the idea of reserving MSC for exodus addresses has more bad implications than good.

(3) I think it's worth thinking about trying to do it in a way that is decentralized so 1 strong buyer won't be able to buy all. A rich buyer that is looking for a short term profit can do more "damage" to the market than J.R is currently doing.

Good point, although I'm not sure how that would be done. It's hard to prove one buy is different from another. Maybe we could identify ourselves with our exodus addresses? Have all initial buyers have a chance to buy more? At least that would be one way of verifying we are most likely separate buyers.

I don't think this is a good idea:
(1) Attracting new buyers is important
(2) It will feel less fair to people
(3) Exodus buyers themself (about 50 people) are holding 45% of the total MSC.

Maybe a good idea is: only members registered prior 2014 will be able to take part. Rich people can try to buy older accounts but it takes effort and time thus making buying large sums harder.

I didn't mean to imply ONLY exodus people should be allowed to buy, but maybe reserve some for exodus addresses so we can potentially buy more, and if we do, they you can be fairly sure the coins are going to more then one person. IT's not the best system, but just an idea.

what do you think?

i think everyone agrees with you.
The sooner the better.
But it doesn't help agreeing.
Developers need to work hard to make it happen.

Certain things must be done in a hurry, if we're gonna see 1btc=1msc. eg easy to use wallet, exchange market etc.

And many of these should be done before XCP/Etherium/eMunie/Skycoin/MC2.

what do you think?
