Never heard of Betway but it's interesting to see the relation of them offering bets to it actually happening or not. I for one really heop mcdonalds does offer bitcoin... not like I'd ever buy a mcchicken with btc though.
If McDonalds will indeed accept Bitcoin , I believe other fast food chains will want to do the same. Which will result in a great amount of exposure.
Soon every store and restaurant will accept payment in bitcoins, perhaps you will see it next year in your city.

Seems like McDonald going to have there own bitcoin legend stories, just like the stories about 10.000 bitcoins for 2 pizzas 7 years ago.
This is a nice idea and maybe they are going to implement a prepaid card on which everyone will use to transfer their coins for paying their meals. Fast transaction and cheaper bills will be the best solution for poverty if this kind of transactions will be implemented.
I think it is good news for us bitcoiners. McDonald's is one of the successful fast food chain in the world. I think bitcoin will become more popular because McDonald's corporation is really influential.
Transfer fees are too expensive for a big mac. Transfer time would take longer than actually driving through or even waiting in a line 6 people. Honestly, it wouldn't make sense because it's very inconvenient to both McDonalds and the person buying. Honestly, I'm fine using real money.
This would be a welcomed development in the crypto world, it will increase the popularity of bitcoin and also benefit Mcdonald too before many bitcoiners include myself would love to order a mcdonald meal in the comfort of my home using my bitcoins if that would really happen I think it would benefit the fast food franchise also since it would open new doors to its customer and will give them freedom in terms of payment.

If ever this is legit and true, then it is good for the community of users of bitcoin. Actually, we should be expecting these kind of events as bitcoin is becoming popular worldwide and more people started using it. More large establishments and companies will be accepting bitcoins as payments as people demand to have it. Sooner or later bitcoin will be used everywhere in the world.
Any establishment accepting Bitcoin especially if it is a huge company as this is a great accomplishment for Bitcoin. I believe this makes sense for those who deliver goods since they do not have to accept fiat currency payment and won't be a target of people who have evil intentions of stealing money from these delivery personnel. This will definitely put Bitcoin to more places in the world.

Yes it can be more comfortable and easier to use bitcoin on buying foods using Bitcoin but the problem is the high fee's and slow transaction that bitcoin has now. If only Bitcoin transaction fee is low it can really help to bitcoin to be know in the public.

Don't get too excited about it. There are a lot of roadblocks. Even if the issue with fee/confirmations can be removed with the usage of a third party processor (such as Coinbase), the legal and logistical issues remain. McDonald's need to find a bank where they can deposit their earnings from BTC (trust me, it is difficult). And also, they need to convince the authorities that BTC is a legal form of payment.
