I think they shouldn't choose bitcoin for this operations. Its transactions are to slow. The should better use etherium or any other modern blockchain. Bitcoin blockchain is pretty old and is good for holdings, but not good for fast transfers.

Does that even make sense with the current transaction times and fees? You are going to pay more for the fees than for your meal. Unless the fees go down drastically, it makes no sense to use bitcoin as a daily payment method.

True, it will be like paying double for your meal. I don't see this happening either. BTC is not a good payment option for small transactions.

A big problem for this is the commission. Because of the huge commission, people are unlikely to make purchases for such small amounts that they could eat in McDonald's. Therefore I think that it will not be possible to introduce this method of payment in fast food.

wow, this is interesting. if McDonalds and other retail outlets start accepting bitcoin. Den we are sure that bitcoin may replace other conventional banking systems. and also, the price of bitcoin will continue to rise because more people will have to buy bitcoins.

It will make a free advertisement for bitcoins.  It will attract more users and clients to use bitcoin.  Especially that it will be accepted by Mscdonalds tne mamy pepople will finally get interest with it.

Both party is advertising to each other so this is an advantage for some business companies for having multiple mode of payments especially Crypto-currencies will enable them to advance the competition. After this Mc Donalds announcement, we expect other food chains also will accept another mode of payment that is CYrpto-currencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum and other altcoins.

Now Bitcoin will help business establishment to promote the products but accepting another mode of payment using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency that customers will find more convenient when they don't have any cash in their pockets but instead Bitcoin or digital coins that is available to pay.
Mc Donalds and other alike food chains will support Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies to be able them to make competitions and advancement.

Well base on the article that i read japan community accept bitcoin as a payment for buying food or any type of business.  If ever mcdonalds truly accept bitcoin as new way of payment this move by mcdo means that the society now slowly embrace bitcoin as new type of currency.

The arrangement is great on the grounds that there is no eatery or store that gets BTC as an exchange apparatus like paper cash, in the event that it happens then I don't need to trouble out of house to request and pay utilizing BTC from home by utilizing web organize through mobile phone.

Unless bitcoin adopts Lightening network the bitcoin is not at all impossible to use as for payment. As of now cost per transaction is around $26.

You made this thread but very rarely reply, what's wrong?

But obviously, if McDonalds received bitcoin, it was a major advance in bitcoin development. And I'm sure some franchises will imitate it.

I'm sure that not only McDonald will be accepting btc payments, probably
in the next few weeks will find that it will be the main used e-money because of it's great succes
and the fact that it's well known to almost every one. So recognizing btc will be a great step in reducing
the  use of real money all over the world

It will be interesting, if it is really so, but that's just how many people will pay a constantly expensive bitcoin in McDonald's - it's not clear.

Nah, it will make a lot of sense if McDonalds would create their own coin rather than accepting bitcoins. Bitcoin's price is very volatile so your burger could be either costly or cheaper as you stand in line. ha ha! Anyway, if this is true then kudos.

I think you would probably be able to top up your McDonald's balance like you do with steam. That would make more sense. I like what you said and I believe the same. I think it would be much better for them to have their own currency. McDonald's having their own currency would be very interesting. I think it would go up in value quite a lot. If the mainstream use it then it will skyrocket.

Is that true ? and also does it apply to every country? if true it is really great and certainly facilitate us in payment. But it seems difficult because the bitcoin price is unstable.
