does the claymore ethmon tool still send the reported hashrate via simplemining to my monitor box ?

if you have in options  -mport -3333
then you can use this port for monitoring also in ethmon tool.
It is just opened api

awsome thanks, im doing an install to SSD now

-is it RX OS ?
- what gpus ?
- what core and memory clocks ?
- do they have custom bios with modded timings ?
- which miner are you using ? optiminer ? mining zcash/komodo ?

3x RX 480 8GB (2 powered and 1 unpowered risers)
Standard bios, clocks,...
Optiminer - zcash

The beta kernel is better, but not ideal. It may be a day fine, and the next day I must 2-5 times a day to restart the rig.
Today I switch from USB to SATA and 3 hours without errors for now.

15,5 hours without error for now.

Riser rigs suck. Always have always will.

I have 1 riser rig an h81 it sucks.

I never managed to get 5 cards solid on it.

Back in the day of Btc and gpu. Riser rigs sucked.

This is not to insult people that mine with 5 and 6 card rigs.

It is a personal choice for some to run 5 and 6 card rigs.  Just as it is a choice to run four card rigs on my part.

If I had a different setup I could try for six card rigs. And I did get a z270 to run five card well.

I have found that being a bit more relaxed about mining makes it a bit easier.

Ie four rigs with cards at a slight underclock are pretty much set them and forget them.

While five and six card rigs pushed a bit suck.  They cry for, help and are hi  Maintainence

And a six card rig once built means you are committed to it.  You have a big ass psu  with six risers.

I would suggest you convert to pandaminers or to,four card biostar like I run.

You most likely won't since you have decided six and five card are better for you.

Frankly they may be better for your setup.  You have more gear then me if I remember correctly.

A question you run a switcher miner  that moves from coin to,coin?

Its as stable as you manage to make it. I could honestly say that without a gentle touch even 1 cards setup is unstable( regarding AMD), on the other hand my nvidia rigs are rock solid.

I have 30 riser rigs on MSI boards and some on those HTC boards and they 90% are fine  all my rigs are six cards

none riser rigs for a large installation is a no no , cards are too close and the head from cards affect each other.  For  a midsize installation its fine though t ohave you
cards cooking each other.

I might go back to the MSI gaming boards they stupid expensive though, at like $150 per board vs the HTC biostar and asrock boards which are a mere $70 , but you get what you pay for

the MSI gaming boards are my most rock solid boards in general.

I'm trying the simplemining on one of my servers that has been constanly unstable though its a riser rig we will see how it goes

as for the panda miners they are too expensive for my taste and no resale on the cards bothers me too.

I will try make beta update soon for new kenel (after i will test some of them and also OpenCL new driver)
Thx to laik2 for help. !
my 27 msi 470 4gb with stock bios all good.
1 msi 480 8gb stock bios good
1 msi 470 4gb with mod good

my 8 card panda miner good

total 37 cards on 9 rigs good

It may be due to the fact that most of your rigs are under 5 GPUs.  It's when you go over that you see 1 or 2 GPUs not hashing making it a 5 or 6 GPU rig.  Note that it's not GPU issues or riser as Claymore would detect and hash all GPUS.  Windows as well, so it's definitely Optiminer 1.6, not USB drive or anything.

So i have about 14 rigs that have problem with new 1.6 and 1.6.1 optiminer. 1.5 was working nice. Claymore is working without problem. I think that 1.6-.1 destroyed some of my risers. After 10 h mining with optiminer (with watchdog to restart) is no way to run rig without problem.
Rigs:
6 x RX 480 G1 gaming
6x RX 480 XFX RS
6x RX 480 XFX GTR
3x 5x RX 480 XFX Reference with backplate
7x 5x RX 480 Sapphire Reference
H81 pro btc
SSD drive
1600W psu

I was swithed all rigs to Claymore. Can you add v1.5 optiminer as miner option? Its 280-290 Sol/s, but work stable for me.

Plus 1 on Optiminer 1.5 option for RX.  The speed boost is awesome but the 1.6 compatibility issues is horrible for RX.   I  have 40 USB drives sitting here waiting for a working solution.  =)

- yeah I saw select SSD ,but do i need to remove the SSD from that box and install the image while the SSD is plugged into another machine or can i just run it on the target machine
thats what I really meant sorry
I think i dont understand you but let me tell you how it needs to be done.
You need to run windows righ? So run it but dont touch that Widnows drive.
Second drive is that SSD that needs to be plugged also into that windows PC.
image file you need to have on windows drive and then run app and select this second drive. Is it ok ? Cheesy

Can you add claymore + DCR ?
Use Claymore cutom miner that is already that what you want, you just need to enter proper options to start mining DCR.
And this is what i wont help, you need to enter claymore eth miner forum page and see examples and add dcr options.

also how do you install to an existing sata SSD instead of a flash drive ? all my rigs have 120GB SSDs
You should be able to select SSD in HDDRaw Copy Tool right ?

- Ok thanks for the info on claymore settings.

Can someone recommend a BIOS for R9 Fury and Rx 480 cards that drops power consumption while allowing stock core/memory frequency for multi algo mining?

Use the guides from the forum, search for VDDC Offset, keyword 8D 00.

I have tested open source amdgpu drivers from 4.7 to 4.10rc3 , 4.10's performance is quite good but a lot of stability issues.
The most stable kernel is still 4.4 with amdgpu-pro 16.50.

Hi

I am using a 250gb hard drive...its from a laptop, one I used for testing. I can put a new hard drive in and give it a whirl see if that would make a difference. I think I fixed the core/mem issue ... reading correctly now. I changed the PCIEX16_1 to GEN 2 seems to be working ok.

Update: Tried the upgrade again and it worked only thing it would not reboot....had to hit reset...Everything looks good...

Still all ok? I have same issue, after some time some xard get 300 until restart.
Is it only under optiminer?
Can you tell me more details ?
