AWESOME!!  That will make your awesome tool even more awesome. Another question - I have the config file set to my email address.  Rigs 1-4 registered and logged in fine.  Rig 5 and 6 said register but 1 is mining to probably your address for EU ZEC site and the other is something else.  What else can I do to update / fix this issue?
Please PM me to [email protected]
I can check it.

btw, Tytanick, can you include the "local IP address" info in the next update. My entire farm is now on SMos and I have lost control over IP addresses -- I depended on Claymore's ethman before this.

yun9999, to double check the config file, you can ssh into rig and nano /mnt/user/config.txt
After you done editing press: CTRL+X and then YES. That worked for me. I bet one of your rigs are still using the default email...

btw, thanks for the insights and comparison on switched PDUs vs SRR. For what we are doing with mining rigs, SRR is perfect fit since its designed specifically for mining operations.

@ Tytanick / admin - What is the ETA for the update that will show total hash per rig and total hash for all the rigs?  I think that is a much needed feature when you have many rigs to catch issues / discrepancies quicker.

This is at the bottom of my todo list so very long or even never.
Only Claymore has api for counting speed, so it would work only and only for claymore Sad
And also second thig why i wont do that is that you can already whatch this in pool Tongue
Also pool has alerts and detailed mining speeds of each miner.
As i dont control hash power (no proxy or other stuff) - it is very complicated to do this in my dahsboard.
Only thing i could do (what came to me 3 seconds after writing above sentence Tongue - is to get those stats from api from POOL.
That could be done and accually it is pretty good idea. I will add it but still not soon.

Okay I seem stable on the panda and two other rigs.

I am going to move more rigs here soon.

So what is the limit of rigs?  I would stay with 8-15 rigs.

I also Need to decide if I need SRR all rigs are in my home  So a rest is pretty easy.  But I do vacation.

My pdu  can be turned on and off via the internet.  So I may not need SRR.

Hi Phil,

What is the cost & benefit comparison between a switched PDU like APC vs SRR?

SRR being a cost effective  with standard parts vs "professional" systems like APC, Triplite etc.

I believe SRR is a "few hundred dollar" solution (with mining features) versus "a few thousand dollar" solution (with data centre features?) out there.

Thanks

I have APC PDUs.  1 PDU alone is already setting you back $70-110 shipped used from Ebay.  You will need to get the serial cable to set it up properly for IP address, etc.

Here's the pro and con of each solution
APC
Pro
- Simple to use and no wiring.
- You can setup Port forwarding to connect to home machine or use Teamviewer to manage turning port on and off
- You need a PDU anyways, so the cost premium may not be too high.  This is also a very nice PDU as it can be managed via web browser and have amperage LCD
- Tons of power connection ports

Con
- Each PDU is max at 30 AMP but recommended 80% usage which is 24 AMP or about 4-6 rigs
- Cost to manage more than 4-6 rigs will be be based on how many PDUs you need, so it can add up a lot if you were using cheap $15-30 PDU before thinking of getting APC.  However it's a moot point  if you're ready to spend on PDU at this price anyways.
- You may need to buy a serial cable to setup the PDU as the document to use arp -s IP address mac address may not work
- Setup is less friendly then SRR and less technical people may end up not bother setting it up and using it as a Dumb PDU instead
- Bulky PDU vs other PDUs that is easier to tie to your regular shelves rack or mount on rear of server RACK.  This one is very FAT and deep so it normally sit on the floor or is mounted horizontally in your server RACK.  Each 42U server rack needs at least 2 PDUs and 2 of these in a rack will eat up at least 4U of valuable space.

SRR
Pro
- Starts at $100 to manage up to 8 Rigs.  This is Pro and Con
- Agent for auto reboot if rig freeze vs manual monitoring for APC.  Very important for large farms
- Price is much more competitive as you get above 8 Rigs especially over 16 rigs
- Can scale up to 64 devices.  The higher the device count, the cheaper it gets per rig
- Web server to manage is good and differentiate this product from other similar offering that is less intuitive

Con
- Additional wirings that need to be run from the SRR to the different rigs
- Easy to wire for open air racks but for server rack solution it may be trickier as you do have another wire to remember to disconnect when removing and servicing the rig
- Price per rig makes the most sense for 4 rig solutions + but still competitive vs other similar solutions

Tytanick will be sending me 1 to evaluate and demo.  I can do a full review on all the different configs as my Farm consist of all the popular RIG types, frames and layout

From my point of view:

SimpleRigResetter (SRR) pros over other solutions:
- propably cheaper when using more than 3-8 rigs. Even more cheaper it wil be with SRR + Extension Board for addonitional 24 Rigs . (then cost per rig will be about 10$ in 32 rigs enviroment)
- auto rebooting - programmed tools and scripts which will auto reboot hanged rigs VS manual clicking in PDU/APC (or scripting but someone must have skills and time)
- no power limitation like in PDU/APC which can give average max of ~3000 W - so max 3-4 rigs connected to one APC - thats becasue SRR doesnt transfer any 120/240V power.
- rigs isolation - if ther will be something with rig, rest rigs wont suffer from it via my device due to opti transistors (there is no phisical connection between rigs)
- turning ON feature which accually can tun ON rig obiously Tongue But is you dont have set "turn ON on power restore" or sometimes when you shutdown rig or simply bug in motherboard firmware - then rig wont turn ON automatically in other solutions.
In mine, SRR can read POWER LED is it ON or OFF and can Power ON and OFF rig via normal traditional "Power button behavior"
- you can check status of all rigs (is it turned ON/OFF) on one page.
- for big farms like 100+ rigs there is fewer devices to be managed. SRR+2 Extenstion boards can manage 56 rigs while other solutions can manage up to 4-10 max Smiley

There is no limit of rigs.
My server has great performance and still it is used in like 5% of all CPU power.
There cant be limit, it would make no sense Tongue
Only limit is that showing 100+ rigs, is little hard on one page and some sorting needs to be done.
But i have this in plans ofcourse Smiley
SRR ok. Nobody forcing you to buy this Smiley It is optional device and it is separate project from Simple Mining OS.

Linux miner is listed there - haven't tried it yet.
I tried the Windows one and have mined solo but you need wallet to be online -- cant imagine how that works with SMos since you need wallet setup too.... maybe wallet on windows and linux miner solo mode to wallet rig IP?
Nope, there is no linux miner at this point. Only windows shitty one which even doesnt find blocks Smiley
Suprnova is getting pool up and running but still there is no linux miner.
Anyway mining PASCAL is 10x more profitable at this moment than ETC/ETH Smiley
Still mining solo with buggy miner its completly no point Cheesy

pasc.nanopool.org, is up.

I am testing it now with a Win7 test rig.

Looks good.... but no Linux miner

To all on oc of rx 470s and rx 480s

I have 3 rigs here.

a 1 card  with a flashed msi rx 470----- oc does nothing

a panderminer with flashed rx 480's - oc does nothing

a three card rig a z270 mobo with an i5 intel 7500 and stock cards.

oc works I can boost the core up to 1242 this does boost hashing.

It is my birthday today and I am going to a Chinese all you can eat buffet.  I lost 30 pounds from  Jan 27 2016 to Jan 27 2017.  I am going to gain back a few of them today.

I have to do a long write on Simpleminer, Eliovp, Stock pandaminer win 10.

I photoed and screen shotted and Have come to a few conclusions.

I think I got it working for the pandaminer!

Phil - since you are in US in the east side, you should use xmr.us-east1.nanopool.org:14444 as the primary and xmr.us-west1.nanopool.org:14444 as the secondary node.

yeah I did do that I has us-east1 and then us-west1

Yeah the zec at 1980 clay 11.1 is good.

I will do the other xmr later tonight.

sgminer-gm on XMR seems doing well with RX cards.

XMR wolf miner seems to do well for non-RX cards

Claymore's XMR/Cryptonight miner v9.7 is pretty good too but still has room to improve for RX cards.... still waiting for Claymore to do something but he said he working on the ZEC miner first then the XMR miner.

I must be too tired can't seem to get Sgminer-gm to work .

I want to use nano pool . I will try tomorrow.

Wolf worked  okay but not with the panda.  It is missing a file for 8 gpus

i am using sgminer-gm for XMR mining at nano pool too.... here my command line (Poloniex address) with a primary and secondary servers.
